Sandbagger123
i have been a user of 147 for a long time. I have read many people say that they move the slide sluggishly, and many of them go to a 124 to get more slide zip. i was thinking of trying either a 124 or 135. if i use the 135, will there be much difference from a 147? Or should i just get 124 and be done?

Hi-Power Jack
If you don't like the 147's??, try both ... Do YOU find the 147's are "sluggish"?
sierra77mk
124 easier to find And cheaper. I wish I liked 124's instead of 147's

Steve RA
You might try these: 130 Gr LSWC with 4.5 grains of 4756 or 3.0 Gr of Clays. http://www.bulletworks.com/bulletworks/bulletworks.html Edited August 18, 2013 by Steve RA
BBeavers
I really like the hard cast 135 RN from Magnus Bullets. They seem to feed better than the 147TC in my 75B and are slightly more economical too. Not quite as snappy as the lower weights at pretty much the same cost. 4.1gr of HP38 makes about 135pf (just to be on the safe side) out of my CZ. Steve RA
I like the LSWC, you need all the hole size you can get with a 9mm !!!
Sandbagger123
If you don't like the 147's??, try both ... Do YOU find the 147's are "sluggish"? yes i do sometimes. I feel the slide takes a while to get back into battery. I've been shooting major 40 in limited and the slide got a lot more speed. I do quite a bit better with it
Hi-Power Jack
Do YOU find the 147's are "sluggish"? yes i do sometimes. Then you should definitely try the lighter bullets - as said above, probably easier to find 124's than 135's, but you should try the 124's and see if YOU like them better. Extremo
In what gun? My PPC9 eats everything while my G17 prefers heavier bullets (I suppose we're talking lead/plated). I've had great results with 135 in the Glock, both in accuracy and feel, while 125 not so great. Edited August 19, 2013 by Extremo

Kahai808
what gun are you shooting? 147 will get you to power factor easier and feel softer. 124's will be snappy.
Sandbagger123
Glock 34. Sound stupid, but i seem to be overrunning it. the time for the slide to come back seems to be hindering my transitions
Kahai808
I use 124gr extreme and its super snappy. 147 shoot good in it as well and feels softer. Maybe just a little sluggish but still cycles fast enough for me
vluc
What poundage are you running on the recoil spring? Might be a factor in your perceived sluggishness.
