  1. The old wood 2 story WW barracks I stayed in (Ft. Lewis & Ft. Knox) years ago had the toilets with no stalls, toilets facing each other. I just figured that was how they were set up so they were all like that? The other thing you didn't say was that that was inside the open bathroom right next to the sinks for shaving etc.. aaaah the camaraderie. Neal in AZ
  2. I was one of 5 kids, 2x girls and 3x boys and we had a "kids" bathroom. My Dad was smart and installed a urinal when he built the house to keep the girls vs. guys problems from occuring. I grew up using a urinal in the house and didn't realize it was not common until I got older and found all my friends didn't have them in their houses?
  3. There is a set screw on the main shaft of the 650 that you tighten to lock the shellplate screw to keep it from changing your setting. tighten that and you will be good to go. Neal in AZ
  4. Dang I just checked and I am at 11.5 years?
  5. Those guys from Hawaii, always cold. Now you are going to have to bring real shoes Barry, no flipflops! Neal in AZ
  6. I went through the same thing with my 15-22 and ended up trying out one of the T1 lookalikes from Primary Arms. Been very happy with it, decent little dot for the $. Ended up picking up a few more for a 22/45 pistol and another .22 I wanted a scope on. Reading the feedback on them on AR15.com many are using them for .223 rifles and they seem to be holding up well. Neal in AZ
  7. My conversion was when they first came out and it only had the red adaptor. I was up at dillon taking the tour and saw the purple adaptors and asked the guy what caliber they were for. When he said ".40" I told him I was using the red one becuase that was all that came with it and he grabbed one out of the bin and tossed to to me. Works much better.
  8. If there was something better I would have it and I would go back and add tot he post. For truely big hands the BAM is the way to go.
  9. Ahem.... This thread might answer some of your questions about magwells and big hands. http://www.brianenos.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=130879&hl=bam Neal in AZ
  10. Accurate has data for AA2200 and AA2230. I have used 2200 but haven't tried 2300 yet because it is not optimal and I have a jug of 2200. There are other powders out there that are the proper burn rate and can be used. I use H322 for my 6PPC and have found it can be used for the .458 also. Powders that can be used in 7.62x39 are the correct burn rate and can be used.
  11. I have been using the Tru Spec 24/7 pants for more than a few years now and they have been great. They are built well with a pocket arraingement that I like and they have been wearing well as I use the blend version, the cotton wore out faster. Neal in AZ
  12. I just got done using a Benchsource machine to anneal lots (over 1K) of small cases and some big ones also (17 Ackly Hornet/218 Mashburn Bee/6PPC/300 WM). Different cases will look different after annealing even though you did it correctly. I used the Templiac and the 17 AH cases really showed the anneal with that Lapua blue look while my 6PPC cases (both Norma & Sako brass) showed very little change even though I know I reached the right temprature. Bottom line is you really need to use the tempilac to get it right. Neal in AZ
  13. Rabbits are safe down here but they are running scared up in heaven!
  14. So witch one is "better" between the two and what is the difference in performance? I like the hybrid follower but it seems that the flex follower is the one to use for competition? A buddy ordered some 10mm mags to use in his .40 Trojan and while he orederd one kind they sent him some of both. I used them both when I borrowed the gun for the WSSSC and couldn't see a difference? Neal in AZ
  15. When I git my Saiga I drove up to AGP and picked up some mags for it. After converting my SG I went out to run some rounds through it and gave the gun and all the mags a workout. I had no issues like you describe, mags worked great. Any indication of the bolt hitting the feed lips? Neal in AZ
  16. If they are sold by the pound then you are paying fo what you take, no problem just taking one.
  17. SV 9x23 Factory gun converted to 9mm by Gans.
  18. Yes but the initital quality problems and the need to send it back for service has kept me away.
  19. I had my SV in 9x23 rebarreled with a brand new 9mm AET barrel (no holes with Bedel Ti comp) and found I had to go over 7 grs of AC with a 124 CMJ to ensure I made major at the nationas/Area 2 etc... I like to have more of a buffer like 172-173 PF. I settled on the 7.2 grs of AC with a 124 CMJ in a Win case as my load. 7.0 grs AC w/124 CMJ - 169 PF 7.2 grs AC w/124 CMJ - 173 PF 7.4 grs AC w/124 CMJ - 177 PF Neal in AZ
  20. The brass from my P7M13 cleans up much nicer than the rifle. I picked up some 10mm from the local FBI MP5's and it cleaned up better then the rifle but not as good as the 9mm. The thing about the rifle brass is it is just going to get it dirty again so as long as it is clean I don't try too hard. Neal in AZ
  21. Many will say they are ruined but I have had my HK91 since the 80's and reload for it. The cases will resize normally and can be reloaded normally. Only thing I have found is that they are harder to get totally clean unless you really work them. I woudl gess the newer ss pin cleaning woudl work well on the brass but I just use the regular media. To test/debunk the myth that you can can't reload the cases I took a small batch of WIn white box (WCC cases) brass that had originally been fired in my rifle. I proceeded to shoot and reload the batch of brass with a standard 147/150 gr ball shooting load. I stopped reloading the cases at the 7x mark because they were getting pretty beat up. The case itself was OK still but I found the case head was gettting beat up badly. The HK rifle has a robust ejector and it puts a good sized dent on the case head. After being fired those 7x the head was getting trashed. Neal in AZ
  22. S&W M&P 15-22 and a Ruger 22/45 with mods Neal in AZ
  23. I took out the mag safetly and added mag pads to the mags to make them longer so there was more to slam. In the first pic you can see the difference in length betwen the stock pad and the extended on and in the second pic you can see how much the pad sticks out past the grip. Neal in AZ
