I do not personally support SAO in CO but: If you add SAO to CO really all that will happen is people running their fancy DA/SA guns will just... not de-cock and run cocked and locked from the holster. The people choosing to run striker fired guns already dont care that much about the trigger.. they have the option of the better DA/SA trigger and choose to run a striker anyway. Adding SAO to carry optics doesn't objectively change much. Now, on principle, I dont think allowing 5-10k dollar custom 2011's to a "carry" division is wise, but that is a different and subjective discussion.

Why does adding another division solve any problems? Think about the hit factors these two divisions will produce. They'll be the exact same. Whats the point of having 2 distinct divisions with VERY similar equipment and producing the same hit factor? Divisions are distinct because of the specific advantages that they give and the specific hit factors that they produce.

Unfortunately not, especially if you're shooting open major. There are some really great brands out there- the Sordin's specifically come to mind, out of my price range but everyone I know that has them loves them. I have walkers (non electronic) with gel cups, that in addition to in ear does the job for me. I know the Howard Leights are very popular but in my opinion the quality of protection they give is pretty poor.

I'm not an ENT or audiologist, but I've had ongoing issues with my ears and have seen several medical professionals about it. The consensus is simple, if you care about the health of your ears and plan to do shooting long term, you NEED to double up on hearing protection. It sucks, it's uncomfortable, it's inconvenient- but tinnitus and progressive hearing loss are much more so. Dont screw around with your hearing. Double up. For in the ears the best you can get is custom molded hearing protection- done professionally. Not the 10 dollar ones you do at home. Go see an audiologist and have them take molds of your ear, and have them made for you. For muffs get something high quality, I like gel cups because they dont cause as much pain and they seal better around the eye pro. I'm probably a 3rd of the age of most people on here- so I'm thinking more about long term noise exposure here. Even if you're on the older side this isn't something to take lightly- discomfort for a few hours out of the week is better than discomfort 24/7. Rant over

The real answer here is to buy a TSO. That said there isn't really anything you need (or can) to do to the thing. Here are some "add on's", not sure if I'd call them upgrades: - I'd say to replace the thumb rest but since you got the base model 2 you'd need to drill and tap it to install one. - You can get a cgw hammer to "improve" the trigger's travel, but you increase the pull weight in doing so. I wouldn't, the stock trigger is fine. - The only thing I actually dislike about the TS platform is the crappy magwell they come with, I made my own. - If you're competing in limited you'll want a race style holster, DAA, Ghost, CR speed, dealers choice. If you plan to compete in limited you'll need mag extensions and spring kits (springer or CZC extensions + grams spring kit). I - As far as actual parts go, I'm not sure what the TS2 comes with but honestly the only thing I'd replace is the guide rod if it comes with a plastic one for a stainless steel one (it may already have one idk). - It should come with a few recoil springs, shoot the gun for a while and learn the recoil impulse then adjust springs by taking slow motion video and finding the spring rate that gives you the best return to zero. The tac sport line is pretty good out of the box. You won't improve much on it, like I said most of the things you can do to it are "add on's" rather than "upgrades"

I am a limited shooter, I am not excited. I shoot a TSO- The gun is great, it didn't need a reboot. I was hoping for something much more exciting from CZ on this one.

The tiny mag release sticks out way too far and really interferes with my grip. Any time I'd finish shooting a gen 3 I'd have a little raw spot on my support hand palm. That and the crappy, slightly larger grip just makes it less enjoyable to shoot compared to a gen 5 imo.

Yep, .40. I'll hold off for now, but had trouble with rusting on my old TS mags in the past. Annoying to deal with so may move toward MBX when the reviews are in

Real talk, how good are these in comparison to stock TS mags with CZC extensions + grams kits? Days before these were announced I bought brand new mags and extensions for my TSO, is it worth selling and getting the MBX or should I hang onto what I have?

Based on the picture you provided it doesn't look like the bell is removed from the case. Could just be the angle of the picture but double check your measurement there. Also looks like your sharpie is scratched off the rim of the case as well

So camera angles make it difficult to tell recoil some times, but this looks pretty decent. I'm seeing some "porpoising" of your muzzle which may be contributing to the spread you're noticing. Some people fix this by loosening their firing hand and applying adequate pressure with their support hand. That being said, a side profile slow motion video on your iPhone is the best thing you can do to diagnose these issues. Keep trying to improve your grip and record it in slow motion to see what is working best. You may benefit from a lighter spring, but if shooting factory ammo dont go too low. Better yet, get a press and start shooting competition loads.

This first. It's hard to say without seeing what your recoil control actually looks like, but if you're a newer shooter it's likely your grip. Yes, lower pf ammo and lighter springs will help with your current problem but it will likely be a bandaid fix to a larger problem

I'm loading .40 for around 20 cpr right now, I'd be loading 9 for like 17.. off the shelf prices are still like 30-40+ cpr most places. IMO reloading is worth it even if it costs the same as factory. Being able to tune ammo to my gun (especially shooting lim major) is a huge benefit. I'm spending about the same amount of time reloading 500 rounds as I would be to drive to and from bass pro to get factory anyway lol

Indoor gun ranges. It depends on the range, but many do not allow the use of outside ammo these days- have to buy theirs. Unless they are selling reman ammo- all of that brass should be once fired. Added benefit of brass without dirt in it. Call around to some local indoor ranges and see what their ammo policies are. Find out what they do with their brass- and see if you can get your hands on some. Gotta say though, if you're that concerned with the status of your brass, buy new brass and keep track of how many times it's been fired like a bench-rest shooter would. I have to imagine that's the only way to know 100%

How is the priming system? I loaded many thousands of rounds on my pro 1000 but the priming was always a pain. I know this is an issue with pretty much every lee press, any improvements made on this one?

If you're shooting a steel framed gun .40 isn't really much harsher than 9mm imo. Aiming is no fun, shoot major.
