I imagine if LO becomes an official division and has some years to grow/ mature, it will be the division where people who want to shoot fancy guns but are not interested in open will go. Think semi/custom 2011's with slide ride dots. Sort of what limited used to be when it was more popular, race guns with a bit less hassle than maintaining an open gun or loading major. Basically a race gun division for people who want to shoot minor is what I see it becoming. Or no one will care and it will go away entirely/ merge with CO

Does anybody have a SRO slide mounted to their TSO that can share pictures? Looking into possibilities for LO with my TSO. If you have pictures please post them here!

The shadow 2 has a triangular shaped slide that gets wider the closer you get to the frame, that's why it can be direct milled for an SRO. The TSO slide diameter is constant as you get closer to the frame and requires a plate. Unless another solution has been thought up, I believe the TSO will require a plate to mount an SRO. Interestingly the TS2 models have the triangle shaped slide similar to the shadow 2, so they may be capable of direct mount. Have not researched this though.

Not without a complete restructuring of how we define divisions. LO has demonstrated big holes in the way we separate them out currently

I believe it's to ensure that the initial participation data about the division is accurate. Prevents 9mm staccato iron sight guys from messing with the numbers. It's a dumb rule and probably not necessary but I get why they did it

My biggest issue with shooting limited is the brass. I dont like paying for stuff I can get for free, but I find myself not being able to find enough range .40 brass to sustain my shooting and need to buy a box of it here and there. Not the end of the world, but much less convenient than loading 9mm.

Definitly don't hesitate to get the palm swell's from LOK. I use the palm swell bogies (for the shadow 2, they fit the TSO and look a bit better than the 75 series ones IMO) and they're a huge step up. I find the stock cz grips to be pretty slick, but I like a really aggressive texture.

Jeez man. Which hand is losing the skin? You may be gripping too hard with your firing hand, if thats the case ease up a bit and apply that same force with your support hand. Also what grips are you using? The gun may be moving around in your hands if you’re using the stock ones. It may be counter intuitive but more aggressive grips might be easier on your hands. I’m not a very big buy but I apply pretty middle of the road grip strength and get fairly good recoil control. I’m gripping firm don't get me wrong but it’s more of a tight handshake than a tear the skin off your hands type grip. Body mechanics are important too- it’s not just about squeezing the gun to death

Than what comes factory. Of course going lighter than a properly tuned gun will mess with recoil, thats just stating the obvious.

All it takes is taking a slow motion video with the same gun comparing the different spring weights and looking at muzzle rise. A lighter spring absolutely decreases muzzle rise and gives you a better return to zero. Can you go too light and make the slide bottom out too fast and return too high? Sure. But an appropriately light spring will work to reduce recoil pretty well. And in the spirit of the original intent of this post, so will porting your barrel. It's a popular mod that the staccato bros are doing and it definitely reduces recoil. I have no idea who can do this service for the TS platform but CZC or CGW is probably worth emailing they may be able to point you in the right direction.

Our local still has 15+ limited shooters out of 50-60 total, but only 2 or 3 of us are shooting major...

I'm loading .40 sw right now for 18-19 cents per round. Factor in the cheaper cost of 9mm bullets you should be able to get around the 16-17 cents per range right now. Primers aren't as expensive as they were (most recently paid 8.5 cents per) and much, much easier to find. Join the reloading discord to find components.

Pretty much. Perfect return to zero would be your sights return to exactly where they lifted from when the shot went off. Sometimes guns are over-sprung from the factory and the muzzle will dip while the slide returns. People will pick their recoil spring based off which allows for the most level return of the gun. This is pretty low yield stuff to be messing with at the start though. Fundamentals of grip and recoil control at speed need to be solid before you go messing around with your springs and power factor etc.

Only mess with the spring if you're having issues with the gun cycling or to tweak your gun's return to zero. Look into predictive vs. reactive shooting. Ben Steoger's book/ podcasts go into this pretty well and there's plenty of information here. Keep drilling the fundamentals, the drills "doubles" and "practical accuracy" are fantastic for developing practical shooting skills early on, specifically regarding recoil control/ sight picture/ shooting at speed.

Send a photo of your trigger guard to DAA before spending the $$ on a new insert. you may already have the correct one.

I have the same issue with my holster, even checked with DAA to ensure I ordered the right insert. What I did was make a small pad that sits on the front of the holster to apply upward pressure to the dust cover of the gun. It works the same way to eliminate the loose fit of the holster as the muzzle support does (which they recommend if you are having this issue). I've been using this solution since I got the holster and it works like a charm. I took some of that thick double sided 3M tape and cut a few squares out, stacked them on top of each other, then covered them in electrical tape to make it look clean.

Absolutely acknowledge there is some risk involved in deciding to mill an expensive gun for the provisional division. But with that in mind- in order for there to be a provisional division in the first place, a good number of people are going to need to make that decision/ investment or no one will be participating... outside of those throwing a mag well on their current CO gun. Hope I'm making sense with that point.

This is kind of my point. Even if they do decide to go this route you'll still have a useable gun in this theoretical CO with the limited gun you milled

Good question, I guess we'll see when it comes down to it. I am a bit sick of scavenging .40 brass, and I can't imagine them backtracking so heavily that a LO gun won't be viable in any division after the provisional period has ended.

Not what you asked specifically, but the second LO gets the green light my limited TSO is getting sent off for milling and a 9mm barrel.

Interesting, top of the chamber looks different. Appears to not have the barrel hood extending from the back?

Main problem with TSO OAL is going to be magazine size. I believe anything longer than 1.16 will begin to give you trouble with the mag. I currently load my 182gn brass monkey bullets out to 1.15 and they feed smooth as butter. other rounds I used needed to be loaded down to 1.13-1.125 though. I'll add that my TSO absolutely HATES truncated cone bullets. They will hang up 1-2 per mag.
