  1. No run?, CZCustom Scorpion extension. Stopped using it. Looks nice, that's about it. TF's work!, no problems. Sure , your the 1st. one (maybe today). I'd guess the "spring" is the issue from what I see/feel on mine?...Bought one for my son, he gave up also...
  2. Too bad your mind is already made up?... I have C-Mores (Railway's, Sts , rts) on various platforms and no doubt one of the best red dots out there. Just got the Vortex Venom 6 MOA for my new carry optics pistol. That said, I prefer the SightMark Ultra dot on the PPC rifle (CZ Scorpion). I use the "circle/dot" x "red" mode. Very fast to acquire, pretty well put the circle dot on the target and it's a hit. $70.00 or so... Hard to beat and bright in the Arizona sun
  3. Well, a thought. The CZ was a sub machine gun before it was a rifle, many sold world wide. We have 3 each CZ's rifles in our group with HB trigger springs & HB AK right side safety's. All shot in PPC competition since last December, all run and run.... (2 use reloads and one owner uses Factory 115's).. 30 round factory mags for less than $20.00. (I've cracked the feed lips on 2 of them by jamming mags in (Not too worry, Prepper Gun Shop sells metal feed lip 32 round mags for $30). The mag extensions from TF work and generally make the course of fire a one mag deal ( except for forced reloads ). The only problem thus far..... one owner had his barrel loosen and it required a special tool to retighten, $70. (I made one from a 24 mm long socket, cut in half and welded a piece of 1" inch pipe in between the now split socket, cost was $8). If your lucky, you can find the rifle for $850/$900 on sale....I have a 9mm Just Right carbine & a PSA Glock mag gun that now sit in the safe.....While your at it, don't overlook the Sightmark Ultra dot ($70 ish)... That red "circle/dot" combo is a winner for me..... The recoil issue is a non issue for us.... There are 2 MPX's that shoot in the same PPC match's, can't say I seen any major problems with them....
  4. 1st. I have C-More's on just about every gun I own.... (Way back when, I was on the "waiting" list at the time "they" were new to the world and hand built)....That said, on my CZ Scorpion rifle I've have a different system. For the money, these are hard too beat..... Sightmark Ultra dot's. (way less than $100.00) and rugged, bright in the Arizona sun. I use the "circle/dot mode/ red dot (usually don't use the "green dot" mode), very deadly on the plate racks and accurate for longer shots if needed. I have a spare C-More but don't see any reason to switch at the present...... The Scorpion has about 6 months of PPC shooting, no "dot" problems.....
  5. One that looks promising is the UTAS -XTR. (Got one). Tooth & Nail is still working on these BUT still promotes the MKA 1919 as more developed for 3 gun... It appears that the 10 round only magazine is a hang-up on the UTAS?...(NO 18 or 23 round "BIG" sticks as of yet)...my UTAS looks to be well built, vg quality and supposedly will take the DPMS .308 upper?.. BUT would need a different recoil set up.... (U Tube). Out of the box, the UTAS looks like it is all you would want from a mag fed shotgun where as, the stock MKA wants all the up grades that are part of the UTAS as sold. (Like AR butt stock, aluminium lower, etc.). If your looking?, hunt the "net", I found a black one way under list price.
  6. I have several older 1911 Springco's...No way too change springs, SO can you change the red or white springs on the newer versions? OR are they still captive?
  7. See the "Canik Forum" if you like, pretty helpful...
  8. You bought the 929 BECAUSE you have the "MO" guns syndrome....You are most likely too be afflicted with this dreaded compulsion UNTIL you drink the "HILLARY" tea sold by the Clinton Foundation ........ THEN, you will sell all your guns and send the proceeds to Hillary & Bill as they are in need... (I have 2 ea. 929's), tried the "tea" but found it too bitter)....
  9. Another opinion, I suppose some would say a "red dot" would give you an advantage? My eyesight wants/needs the "red dot" versus the open sight (even with the fiber optic version). USPSA likes their "rules" which are supposed to level the field???. In ICORE I must shoot "open" because of the "dot". There are many more USPSA match's in my area than ICORE match's that I don't shoot because I'd be in the "open" class...... Remove the "red dot" ban and you would see many more revolver's at a USPSA match...... IF there is an advantage the "Boys" would soon have "red dots" on their revo's.....AND you will see more revolver shooter's in USPSA. HA!!!! .... Call it carry optics revolver?, what's another class in USPSA????...
  10. I gave up on Canik USA/Century Arms..... Not even a reply to at least 5 emails.... Neither could be described as a "good business" model when you can't even receive the courtesy of a reply !!!!!. The ONLY good thing I see is at least they didn't use EEA as an importer.....
  11. bwikel, I just ordered 500 ea. .356 & .357, used your discount code. I have CFE, Auto Comp, Titegroup and a little 320,.. what's your favourite?. I've been using their 115's (cone) x CFE and they run well in my CZ Scorpion rifle. THANKS, Mike
  12. I've always had a leaning towards the magazine fed shotguns. ( I have a "VEPR"). The AR style "UTAS" 12 ga. looks like it could be a winner, yet Tooth & Nail says there are still some items that need to be addressed. Research on the "Net" shows some feel they are under sprung and thus mags over 10 rounds are not reliable ?... One would think that with all the AR springs and buffers that a working combo is out there IF the "Reported" weak buffer spring is the culprit?...Any updates?. Yes, I bought one, looks to be very well constructed, we shall see....
  13. Hey, at age 75 the "DOT" is a must...... No real reason to put the "dot" in another world....
  14. waktasz, These are very well made guns and the price is low at this time... Bought the SF for $269. The TP9SFX is ready for optics and comes with Warren tactical rear sights. NICE trigger right out of the box.... And I think I needed a new gun or two.....
  15. Check out the "Canik Forum".. Can't get the ball rolling there either. What poor representative's "Century Arms" is for an importer....No response to 4 e-mails from me. Customer support is not on their to do list!!!....

  17. Yes, all the info they want, they already have at their fingertips. On the Canik forum, someone posted that they wanted a copy of their driver's license also?????.....I'm waiting for the Viper Venom , 6 MOA dot to be in stock. Good point, why a heli coil in a steel frame???.... None of us have had a response from either Century Arms or Canik USA as to why the SF & SFX haven't been sent to USPSA or IPDA for being approved for competition either, NOT A PEEP!!!!...
  18. Watching, sorry I do't know...
  19. waktasz, Good, Internet rumors fly.. Never know what to believe.... Been emailing / trying to get Canik and Century Arms to submit paperwork to get their guns approved for carry optics, production, whatever.... Almost feels like they don't know how to get the ball rolling????....Sure looks like someone had an idea with the introduction of the TP9SF & the TP9SFX?, but who knows??? Check the Canik forum, seems very good for a start up... Maybe Patrick Kelly is the man?.... Good reviews on both models, HEY, Patrick.... Help....
  20. You might scoff but give the $70.00 Sight Mark a try...I don't like looking down a tube. To me the fastest acquisition is an open glass, red dot. I have C-Mores on most pistols. That said I use the Sight Mark Ultra or other model. on my 2 PPC rifles (CZ Scorpion, AR 9MM, PSA Glock lower). The "circle dot" mode in red is my pick AND it's bright enough to see in the Arizona summer sun. Been running them for at least a year, no problems other than a loose battery cap once.
  21. Just got the SPX, looks to be a winner!. From what I have gathered, Canik USA has not bothered to submit ANY of their products to USPSA ( Troy, USPSA). It's difficult to believe that they just designed the SPX to be pretty???.... I've left emails with Canik USA, Century Arms, etc. No reply from anyone......
  22. I have both, neither are on the "good guy" list @ USPSA. I've gotten a email from Troy @ USPSA saying neither has been submitted for approval?. I've sent 2 emails (no phone# for them) to Canik USA and not a peep from them. I also emailed the importer, Century Arms and no response from them either???...Now I'm seeing reports that there may never be approval as they are considered "single action" only, even though they mimic several "approved" pistols that are on the "good guy" list @ USPSA. Update info please....
