  1. G17 Gen 4, was even a FDE color, $206.00 out the door(I bought one)... There is a FFL on Gunbroker.com that has them normally.... Seems the FFL's can make more $$$$$ by splitting the pistol. If you can't find the gentleman, Pm me and I'll dig his name up.
  2. Well, glory be..... Got my Glock 34 MOS "blue label". Used the GSSF certificate and saved about $170.00. Ordered it thru the local "blue label" dealer, paid upfront, they had to order it, it came in (about 3 weeks), walked out the door with it. Shot it that night right out of the box @ the indoor GSSF match with out a hick cup..... Didn't have time to install and sight it in with the Burris Fast Fire 3 that day or mess with the trigger......
  3. Yes, blue label, Glock probably would charge more if it came in a "blue box"....
  4. Most of the problem (?) was not just me being ignorant of the process..... Sometimes, you get someone at the gun dealers who know less than the little I knew...I'm pretty sure I could have had the MOS before this date had I been better educated....Oh well, so much for being on the "list".... They want cash to order, makes sense and cents..... PS,The new Wolf aluminium trigger is very good/EZ to adjust, used my own trigger bar...
  5. I finally found a LE Glock dealer person who knew what to do... (After calling Glock and getting the correct info). Well, let's see what happens, ordered and paid for one using the GSSF certificate.....(A tick over $600.00 with state tax). Just have to wait till the skies open up????. This is the way it happens..... Yes, there are MOS guns in stock with various dealers SOME are "blue label" and some are not.... I had to specifically order a G 34 MOS GSSF "blue label" gun even though the dealer HAD a non "blue label" G 34 MOS in stock (More$$$$$).. Sooner or later, the gun will be shipped to my LE dealer. My GSSF certificate may expire BEFORE the gun arrives, NO problem with Glock as the gun was ordered and paid for BEFORE the certificate expires...NOW, I ONLY have to figure out WHY I needed this so badly?????...... MERRY CHRISTMAS to all!!!!!...
  6. Thanks for the info....."Conflicting info" is kind a like talking to the wife....Looks like the certificate is fairly valuable.... Guess I'll just have to wait.
  7. I have the usual GSSF certificate was as you can get the slight discount ("blue box") on the Glocks...... That said, I have called the local "blue" box distributor and was told a different story by different sales personnel, one put me on the "list" (of course, I've heard nothing) and the other says no "blue box G 34 MOS on the "blue box" list???... So, If I go on "Gunbroker" there are G34 MOS's in a "blue box"..... Anyone know what's up????....
  8. E-Bay, $18 shipped, bought 2 of them.....Listed for $19.99 each , or best offer ($18.00 worked)... They can be ambidextrous and fit perfectly.
  9. Look up my previous posts..... Most of my 929 issues were self induced (I have 2 of them). I did need to square up one forcing cone. The "sticky" cylinder issue? was that I had the moon clips EDM cut locally and I wanted tighter and tighter ones. I've switched to RS moon clips and once fired military brass, thinking it would be more consistent, ok so far. Mike.
  10. Sure, Now you tell me..... I have the shown Allchin mount but just bought the BMT mount. John makes great parts....
  11. Allchin makes a low Fast Fire mount. I took mine off and went to the BMT side mount... Nothing wrong with the Fast Fire 3. (Has top accessible battery mount were as the 2 doesn't)... Look up my post here (see pics)...I shot the BMT sideways / big C-More setup last Sunday @ the ICORE match and had no trouble picking up the dot in my normal line of vision. My grip angle on the 929 with the Allchin Fast Fire 3 mount always put the dot up high (I had to tip the muzzle down to find it). Mike
  12. Flat point bullets?.... Got any round nose too try? Any particular mag causing the problem?... I always # them
  13. Look at my post about putting the Dawson heavy brass gen3 on a gen 4.magwell here..(tarosean pics)..., then see my pics of the result, EZ to do THEN I added the large back strap to try.... You will need to trim the bottom of the large backstrap, no biggie, just go slow.....
  14. Just shot a match a today.. I have 3 Burris Fast Fire's, One on my Vepr shotgun , one on my G17L ( shot today) and one waiting to go on my g34.... Get the biggest dot you can (probably an 7/8). I'm in Arizona and the sun is tuff on small dots.I tried a C-More but the dot is just too high. Burris has a lifetime warranty for even a used fast Fire.
  15. Interesting..... I've posted on my self-induced 929 problems.... I have thousands of used 9mm brass that I use in other guns/carbines. My $.02.... the Lee "U" die and a press adjustment (die touching the shell plate) is my setup. Rather than using different head stamped brass I went to once fired military brass thinking it might be a little more uniform and stronger. I use the .035 RS moon clips exclusively and case gauge every round. So far,100% good.....Nice, not too have brass NOT stuck in the cylinder!!!. I've tried most all bullet weights and coatings/FMJ's....
  16. You have to do a little "dancing" to be 922 compliant ...that is, to be 922 legal for using 10/12 round mags..( You will read that many poopa the 922 rule, I wouldn't BECAUSE it a "law", compliance actually makes the Vepr better.). Most use the Tapco single hook trigger setup. You will need to blend in the hammer parts and polish the same (not hard to do). Polish the bolt etc., add a USA puck and I believe that's it at the present time....Your reward will be a great trigger. I use the Dremel, polishing pads, and the "green" polishing stick (any rock shop store item). UTube should have all the info...Have fun!!!!
  17. I've had 2 Sagia's and 2 Vepr's. Both Saiga's had to have the barrel pulled and the gas ports opened, NOT so with either Vepr. The cheek weld on the Vepr folding/fixed stock didn't work for me..I kept tthe plastic stock version. For reliable performance with the 12 rd SGM Vepr mag your going to have to use 1300 fps x1 1/8 oz. ammo. That said, there is a R&R Saiga shooter at our match's, that thing runs like a top with the R&R 23 rd. mag...HE told me he has to use1400+ fps for about 4/5 shells to get the mag to run 100%. Even with lot's of bolt polishing on the Vepr, I sometimes have difficulty inserting a full 12 rd. mag during competition...BUT this could just be my inherent clumsiness?. Nuts and bolts...The Vepr's are a better buy, full of inspection stamps, (at least someone looked at while is was being manufactured, the Saiga's are rougher)..
  18. I'm needing a used gen 3 or 4 slide.. I've posted in the classified here, searched the net... Anyone got any better places to look???.
  19. Thanks, tarosean.... Simple job.... My gen 4 17L (yep, gen 4, 17L)... Excuse the poor pics.
  20. open 17, Thanks, I found them the second time....Already have the barrel, of course it's W/N....
  21. Checked both minutes ago,... nothing shows up....
  22. Anyone able to purchase a 2011 frame from either manufacturer?..... I just talked to Phoenix Trinity. She said, yes there is a waiting list AND you must purchase 10 frames at a time?. SO it would seem your SOL????.... At least Matt Cheely @ CK returned my email and I'm supposedly on the "waiting" list...At age 74, I don't think I want too "wait" too long. .... Just whining......
  23. Good info... I just ordered the 5oz.one from Dawson. Dremel is ready... Passing a little info on, my 20 year old Dremel flex shaft quit, I got the $7.00 one from China on EBAY, .... works great, you can also get the plastic coupler which wears out on the Dremels...... Thanks, Mike
  24. tarosean... I'm meaning the heaviest 5 oz. model, I think that's what your saying?
