  1. Been using Comp-Tac holsters for 7 yrs. Last 2 yrs w/S&W 625 for IDPA. Great product and service. Really nice people to do business with. Owner is BIG suporter of IDPA and a shooter as well. For USPSA Revo,I use a Speed-Sec holster and really like it. A Kydex will work play both games, just not as well as others for USPSA. Check the rules for IDPA, holsters and mag carriers. They are very specific about what is legal. The rule book is available on line at their web site, if you need it. Hope this helps.
  2. The above mentioned 6.5" 610. It's already been sold. Lasted about 1hr 50mins.
  3. Why not send it back to the smith that did the orignal work? Not saying that he did anything wrong, just give him a chance to look at it. If what is wrong was his fault, give him the chance to fix it. If it's not anything associated w/him, he probably can get it running again. Either way, both of you win.
  4. Is it available in RH and LH mounting for the C-More?
  5. Lee, What did they quote for a current price?
  6. What did your machinest say about makeing some more mounts and a price?
  7. What is the thickness of the Ranch moons for the 8 shooters(627)?
  8. The rule change is in the works for approval that the lock is not a saftey and does not have to work. It has not been approved yet as I understand, but should be soon, along w/a lot of other rule changes. The ILS system in the Springers and mag disconnects are in that group to be changed.
  9. I think I remember Jerry saying on a video, that a little looseness is a good thing. Talking about 45s. I can't say about anything but Ranch, since that's all I've used. The clips for the 8 shooters are made for a specific head stamp, I think. another factor would be how you do your reloads. Jerry all but throws them at the cyl in the videos that I've seen as compared to some of the 6&8 shooters that look em in all the way.
  10. Read this: http://www.brianenos...dpost&p=1353550
  11. In the case of CDP, which ever mag capacity you start the match with, you have to use for the entire match (7s or 8s). As has been said,"No mix and match." In the case of ESP, it could be 9 or 10rd mags, depending on the gun being used (1911 SS), but again, same capacity start to finish. I suppsoe a .45 SS could be used if someone wanted to. Can't see any competitive advantage to it, but legal.
  12. The bobbed hammer isn't a problem for IDPA. It's completely legal. The missing and or non working lock is! It has to be there and working for major matches. Should not be a problem at most club matches as there's seldom an equipment check there and I doubt many Club MDs would send you home for that. It's not an operational saftey device. The owners manual even says so in large red print on the top to the page that addresses the ILS (Internal Lock System), "Do not engage the lock on a loaded gun." We've tried to talk reason to HQ about the lock, but as of yet, they won't listen. Oh well, hope this info helps.
  13. Speed Shooters Specialty (Forum Dealer) had them for $150 last time I looked.
  14. Watch you don't go past vertical and get called for breaking the 180. Just a suggestion. Had a friend called for it not long ago.
  15. More than likely nor the culprit, but east thing to check is the main spring screw that it's tight. Probably the ammo. Have not heard that about Blaser, but Win WB has rounds w/no primers and or holes for primers. Anything is possible.
  16. Primer pockets vary between mfgs. The only way I know of to get same depth below the case rim is to stay w/same headstamp. Most folks don't mess w/S&B for the same reason you said. Pain! You didn't mention what caliber you are refering to.
  17. The metal has to be preped before the plating is done and the plater should do that. Ask them if you're concerned. If they don't, I'd find someone else to do the work.
  18. Matt, You can get the corret pin and cup pin punch from Brownells. The punch p/n is: 080-620-005 The pin p/n is: 940-053-720 The correct drill bit for the pin is a #54. It can be had at any good bolt and nut store. Some of the auto parts may have it also. I bought 4 the last time. They are small and easy to break. You can drill it out and put a roll pin in it, I suppose. The pin hole is just slightly smaller than 1/16th". That's why you can't find a roll pin the correct size, at least I couldn't. The pin from Brownells isn't expensive at all. I think about $1.5-2. Hope this helps.
  19. Brownells sells a punch that's for the pin. P/N 080-620-005 (see pg 422, Brownells Cup Tip Punch .050" dia. $18 about). Alternative if you don't want to make one.
  20. I have had that happen when I disassembled the ejector rod assy. I unscrew the rod till it comes loose, paying attention to where the rod releases from the threads and back it up 1/2 turn more till I can catch the next thread in rotation to tighten. Tighten the rod and see if the assy spins straight. Has worked for me so far. Hope it does for you. Remember, Left Hand Threads.
  21. HF is hit factor and B is the class of the shooter, I assume. My best guess, any way.
  22. Clear nail polish will make a bond that's not as strong as Blue but, will hold in light use. It's eaiser to take back apart and clean up for reassembly is as simple as nail polish remover w/acetone or pure acetone. One can always go to Blue if needed.
  23. SSS is the first place I looked for them as I remembered it being posted here that they had them. It wasn't on the web site so after looking at all the other places that I could think of, I made the post asking about them. I'll try to call Kenny in the AM and see if I can get to the bottom of this and let ya'll know.
  24. Any one know where to buy them besides S&W? Didn't one of the forum dealers have them at one time. I'd rather buy from here than S&W if possibble.
  25. If the barrel has 38 super on it, I think it should be legal for ESR, as long as you make PF. It's OK to shoot 40 cals out of a 10 mm revo. 38 super is still 38 caliber. As far as the gun handleing the loads, I think that 38 super Cup is less than 357 Mag cup (by about 10k cup). The gun is rated for 357 loads. Just my opinion. A check of the rule book and the recent changes to be sure. Both are available on line. You might want to check the availability of moon clips for the brass.
