Finally read the FAQs (3/11)

  1. After a lot of tinkering the brand new cylinder stop spring from smith was the cause a close look under a magnifier its coils are flattened and to close together tried another new spring issue is all gone
  2. I get what your saying. But if you hold the gun and pull the trigger one time fast it jumps the stop notch just dry firing one quick pull of the trigger and it skip past the stop notch
  3. Hmmm ok dad is new to revolver competition but his new Jm doesn't do it but the trigger doesn't have any work done to it I'll have to tell him thanks a lot
  4. So my dad got a used 625-8 shot it for a month or so and it started to skip chambers.we took it apart took care of the preening on the entrance ramp of the cylinder and on the back side. And installed a new cylinder stop and spring.claned everything up inside and put in a new firing pin and return spring. Shot it in a fun match and it still skips chambers if you pull the trigger fast.so we pulled the cylinder and yoke out of a brand new 625 Jm we acquired and put it in the gun still have skipped chambers with a brand new cylinder stop and spring and totally different brand new cylinder and yoke. What else could be causing this I'm really at a loss?
  5. my favorite match of the year great staff, stages, and food. In a great location sign up guys. cant wait to see the stages
  6. The one small pin that rides in the slot was actually slightly bent
  7. ok guys i checked everything everyone said. I pulled it apart tonight and inspected everything and lightly....lightly dressed the engagement surfaces. Then I replaced the hand with a brand new un fitted one and reasembled.....wallllaaa smooth as glass now by no means is it a perfect toolguy or carmoney trigger but its plenty light and smooth with no more hitch in its get up anymore at all. Ill have to measure it at work tomm to see it a oversized hand was installed or what from the factory there was no real burrs or anything but its good now. I appreciate all the great help guys
  8. That's somthing I gotta look at symptoms are similar thanks dragon
  9. This may sound dumb but with the cylinder swung open cycling the action i can hear the hand drag on the top of the hand window its rubbing at the top. could the hand be to wide and its binding at the top of the window causing it to bing with the ratchets in turn causing it to bind up just befor the break? Can i simply thin the top part of the hand some with a stone to keep it from touching the window?
  10. Lee you are correct my plan is to just go in and lightly stone and polish the contact points of the hammer and trigger and the sear and inspect the hand according to my jerry kuhnhausen book it could be a burr on the hand nose causing it to hang up coming out of the ratchets im no expert tho im just a car mechanic lol no worries tho ill go slow and easy
  11. yep ive had that happen befor its good and snug also i plan to tear it all down on thursday and do the jerry miculek trigger job its had a trigger job but im gonna go through and inspect all the surface qaulitys and such. and install new hand
  12. Yes cylinder gap is good on all chambers ejector rod is tight and straight. I know this sounds so dumb or like a ghost but i know this isn't right and the gun doesn't function right I'm sorry for annoying everyone
