  1. As a new shooter, should I just focus on shooting for now or would becoming an RO be a big benefit starting out?
  2. Hopefully going to shoot my first match soon. I only know one person in NC that shoots lol so looking forward to meeting/making some new friends!
  3. I bought one to put on a agency glock but its milled for rear sight forward of the optic which should alleviate that issue. As stated above if the slide was milled dedicated to the SRO that would probably fix the problem. Agency does have a new mounting system AOS that is lower in the slide and more robust than most universal plates. Check it out, they may offer pre-cut slides you can order.
  4. I have the NC star and it works great, no issues.
  5. I bought a surefire 300 sps. suppose to be the quietest you can get for 300 blackout. Ive shot several and I believe it may very well be. Its also rated for up to 300 win mag. Im not familiar with the 300 NM but you can reach out to sure fire they have always answered my questions quickly and courteously.
  6. lol I promise i won't make you say it again.
  7. Good to hear lol I just saw that post after I ordered one lol
  8. So I have a few cans and have both adjustable gas blocks and the gemtech bcg that you can pull the carter key out and switch it from suppressed and unsuppressed. They both try to achieve the same thing which is bleed off enough gas so your bcg isn't destroying itself being over gassed and also retains enough gas to function reliably. If you are goin to shoot suppressed most of the time then I would say get the adjustable gas block because if you go without the can your gonna have to adjust every time you switch can/no can to run most reliably. You also get more adjustment for a better tune with the gas block than with the BCG which is either "suppressed" or "unsuppressed". If your gonna take the can on and off a lot the BCG is gonna be easier to switch the setting on (unless you have a rail that lets you access your gas block easily). If the cost isn't too much just run both. If your gonna use the cans on multiple rifles then its gonna be cheaper to get more gas blocks. I hope this helped some lol just what i can provide from my experience.
  9. Dang wish I would have seen this before ordering a Pocket Pro 2 a few minutes ago. Do you think its just a lemon or have you heard of others having problems with theirs?
  10. I have several Streamlights and have never had an issue with any of them. Good lights for the price point.
  11. Anyone know where there’s some N320 available? Also what’s a close alternative? Thank!
  12. Im just getting into the competition scene and have been looking at the pact and pocket pro II. Im pretty sure ima pick up the PPII. Do y'all think this will suite me as a new shooter or is there a better option for beginners?
  13. Im just getting into the sport but I have been shooting for about 22 years and I have never had a squib. I was talking to my friend that's a competitive shooter and he mentioned squib loads and gave me a brief description so I researched it a bit. My question is, how can you tell that it was a squib? Can you hear it go off with ear protection in or does it just depend. I know just shooting in the back yard if I was to run into an action not cycling I would take my time and investigate, but in competition training to rack a new round as fast as you can and keep moving seems like its gonna end badly. If there's somewhere on here I would see info like this im sorry. im new to this forum and haven't figured it all out yet.
  14. Was up in Muncy and Montoursville yesterday checking out some local gun shops. Im definitely interested in that class! I contract in the power industry and March is going to be a hectic month, but if I am able I'd definitely like to attend. Just keep me posted on it!
  15. Practicing properly. Practicing the wrong way no bueno.
  16. Interesting, soon as the snow melts Ill try this out.
  17. I like a big ole donkey grip, something I can really bear down on. Best grip I've felt was on a buddy of mines Edge. Its a custom grip. It looks like "dear Lord what is that" but it feels like money when you shoot it.
  18. Ive tried shooting with my middle finger before and it affects my grip too much.
