  1. What distance is your gun sighted in at ? You have a traditional scope mount ?
  2. Happy Birthday to all, even you Tony. As an answer to your question, Larry. I don't what the normal shelf life is, but these look like they've been around for an extremely long time. Keep the hope, Fattop........
  3. 1/3 size targets would be a start, but you'll need to know your bullet's trajectory at 75.
  4. 9 major ? Primer pockets get loose fast........2-3 reloads tops for me
  5. Happy Birthday Tony!!! Also John and Patrick and of course everyone else
  6. Broke rule number 4 yesterday and it showed...........
  7. I guess I'll have to rethink since Denny's gone....
  8. I remember a few years ago I shot with Sevigney at a local match. I was shooting after him so I watched him intently. He made everything so smooth that it looked easy. The result of course was crash and burn for me. Now, however, it seems that when I shoot a COF, that I'm in my own little world. It doesn't matter who I'm shooting with, when the buzzer goes off I shoot my plan and speed. I have no expectations of time I just know it'll be the speed that I'm capable of that particular day.
  9. My thoughts exactly.......
  10. Trust me, neither does Singlestack
  11. My Denny prediction looking a little shaky after his performance with the cowboy guns..........
  12. Without a quality impact wrench, the only other way will be to lock the flywheel in position while you loosen the bolt. You should have a removable dust shield of some type in front of the flywheel. Be careful not to break any teeth off the flywheel.
  13. Paul, I'm thinking of a word..........care to guess??? Ok, ok, give up? The word is: PROBATION !!
  14. I hated that start too, felt unsafe even though it wasn't. I guess it felt that way because I had never done a weak hand only start before. My first shot as evidenced in my video was fired with a very poor grip, after that I finally had a decent grip.
  15. Randi and Keith are both truly good people.
  16. Four bottles of water and two bottles of powerade, and that really wasn't enoigh. Indeed a brutal day, but about thirty shooters braved the conditions. For those that don't know much about Cool Springs gun club, it's basically in a swamp (to help with the humidity) and the ground is primarily white sand (to help reflect the suns rays). My hat's off to the shooters that attended today.
  17. Already know of several shooters (including TSCR members) that are not attending today's match. Wonder why?? Today: Isolated showers, then scattered showers and thunderstorms after 8am. Some of the storms could produce gusty winds and frequent lightning. Partly sunny and hot, with a high near 97. Heat index values as high as 106. Calm wind becoming southwest around 5 mph. Chance of precipitation is 30%
  18. Until you find some professional training in your area, se if you can ask one of the better shooters for some pointers. I wasted my first year shooting trying to teach myself. Virtually any shooter will be glad to get you pointed in the right direction. Don't get discouraged either, it takes some time to see/feel improvement. Good luck!!
  19. Welcome This is the place where knowledge is indeed shared.
  20. Naw, it's not even discussed amongst TSCR members anymore...
  21. My property is about 17 acres total. Many a day I practice 1-200 rounds, put my stuff up and hunt the evening within 200 yards of where I practice. I've even walked to the back field after practice and deer were already there. The hunters won't like it but in reality it will push the deer towards them and away from you to some degree.
  22. about the new forum format........................anymore
