  1. I just went through my previous orders and everything is the same price as it was before when coupon codes could still be used. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  2. The coupon I normally use is “expired” as well. It is a code from one their sponsored shooters that I have used many times. Appears that they may have discontinued their coupon codes for now? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. Sarge, you’re right. That was a little snarky, sorry. It just seemed like your response was a “haha I got one and you want one”. Was a little aggregating is all. Didn’t seem like a normal response from you. Sorry. Thank you for the info. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  4. What is that supposed to mean? It’s certainly not helpful. You said to buy a PAL and that you had just bought one, but you’re not going to say where it was from? They have been known as not being made any more for the past couple of years. If they’re being made and sold again why wouldn’t you want people to know about it? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  5. From where? I have looked for one many times after reading reviews and have never been able to find one Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  6. Sport pistol is good, but good luck finding it. I like titegroup for the price, but you have to clean your guns more often (maybe every 5-700 rounds). If you clean your guns after trip anyways then titegroup is perfect imo. Where did you miss out on primers at? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  7. I have the knowledge to do it since I worked in a machine shop for 4 years, but I don’t have any of the tools to do it at the moment so it’s better to just spend the $50 and keep the stock one just in case than screw something up and need to spend the money for a new release anyways. That’s why I was hoping for $35 the S2 would be a drop in solution. But, I will go with this and wait for it to arrive. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  8. Thais George. I might try it then. Seems like a better idea than chopping mine/ a shadow 2 one up and screwing something up. I just had no idea how that worked ordering outside of the us Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  9. To those who ordered directly from Sebo, how does it work ordering from them? I see their prices are listed in the Czech Koruna, and it looks like a lot of their info i their site is written in Czech. I’m assuming they’re not in the us because of this lol. IV never ordered from anyone not in the us before. So do I just place an order like usual and I’m assuming by credit card will do the conversion automatically? And it will likely take a bit to get here? Thanks guys
  10. Interesting, thanks George. How do I determine if mine is an old version? Do you know what the reason the S2 release cannot be used on the old versions? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  11. Can anyone here give me any info on if a S2 mag release will work on a TSO? I just bought a TSO and have come to really like the mag release on my S2. I saw one other extremely short thread saying that it won’t work stock, but you can take some material off so that it will work. I will be using stock TSO mags Any experience is welcome. 12. The general consensus is to use lead data when using powder coated or Hi-Tek coated bullets. If there isn’t data for some books will have “plated” data, I’d use that second. Last that I would use is FMJ as it will be hotter than the previously mentioned loads usually. I think I was told FMJ loads are about 50 FPS slower than coated in 9mm. I’m not sure what the difference would be in 40, but I guarantee there is a difference similar to that Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  13. IV commented one this multiple times and every time I say I love my Hornady and continue to use it on Dillon actually. Very very consistent. As IV used my Dillon powder measure on my 1050 it has broken in and become fairly accurate, but the Hornady is still much more consistent. One other thing I like about the Hornady is that you can an insert that flares the case in a different station and to my knowledge the Dillon doesn’t have that option? But I also haven’t researched it. But imo it’s easier to set the powder measure when you don’t have to worry about it flaring the case at the same time. IV never had my Hornady not drop powder, but when I was first using the Dillon I didn’t have adjusted down far enough and apparently wasn’t getting a full stroke of the powder bar and had it not drop powder a couple of times, which I thankfully caught. Adjusted the die down further and haven’t had that problem again. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  14. I have found shooting a mag of plated bullets after shooting a lot of lead cleans the barrel out completely Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  15. You’ll have a slightly different load by a couple tenths of a grain of powder, and will likely get less smoke from the FMJs but otherwise there shouldnt be a difference. Only reason not to shoot them would be if you were saving them for the other load or have an open gun and want to keep your comp cleaner. Might help keep your PCC comp cleaner too Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  16. Good to know, thanks. I didn’t have a ton of it in my brass so I just tossed it. Maybe 15 cases out of a 5 gallon bucket so nbd Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  17. IV had that same problem with the S&B brass as well with 9mm, i have run into it with 40 and have separated it and may try to load it later. But have you had any problems with the FC headstamp? Because IV never had a problem with it in 9, but heard it has a thin case web or something in 40? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  18. I had heard about this problem a little bit. Was debating getting a push through sizer like mentioned below for those that do not pass gauge. Might look into the lee die though. Will that cause me any problems with coated bullets? I have ~1500 bayou .401” then will be using Blues if they ever make it to my house. You don’t discriminate head stamps when loading? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  19. Hello all, I’m just starting to load 40 for the first time and I was wondering if there was any brass I had to watch out for. For example, in 9mm the CBC headstand is trash, and you need to watch out for stepped cases. Anything similar to this with 40 brass? I had read a couple of old threads that the “FC” headstamped brass was from an old factory and had caused people problems. Is this still the case? I have some stamped “FC 12” through 14 or 15 I don’t remember exactly. Is this brass newer and ok to use? I will be loading to major PF also. Thanks for any advice guys. 20. Coated Bullets do have a small to them when using a fast burning powder, like titegroup. I have tried multiple manufactures of coated bullets and all will have a smell to them when shooting hot burning powder because it starts burning the coating off the bottom of the bullet Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  21. In Michigan, while the ammo shelves are bare here as well, participation is still crazy and you need to sign up for a match immediately after it opens as they’re full in about an hour at the very most. Some of the more popular clubs fill up in about 10 minutes Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  22. Is this their smaller cheaper version of the primer collator? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  23. I have found that lots and lots get through the 1050 using Dillon dies. I use mtm 45 ammo boxes and just dump cases onto them and 99% land mouth up and I can quickly glance inside the case and check for stepped brass and pins stuck in the flash hole. I do it while listening to podcasts or with the tv on in the background and can blow through them pretty damn quick Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  24. I have only used a couple of dots so my opinion on the size of the window is very limited. That said, after I had my draw down on the new pistol I bought and put the DPP on, I have very few issues finding the dot if it wasn’t my fault with a crappy draw. So, an update on the warranty. I called into Leupold today saying that I bought one, it started failing after 5-6k, not the worst thing ever, I bought another brand new one so I could continue shooting the rest of my season. That new one failed after ~1k (note, same letters in the serial number so likely the same exact issue showing themselves at different points in the life of the dot. They are both AF models which supposedly have a higher chance to fail even though it is the second most recent model, based on another thread on here and not my experience at all). I said I was worried because I bought the new one hoping to shoot my state sectional coming up without problems. The gentleman on the phone said he would hook me up since I bought two and had a level two match coming up. He sent me a shipping label and told me to send both of the dots in and they would have both of the broken dots fixed and back to me within two weeks (including shipping) using 3 day shipping from me to them, and the same coming back. I decided to keep one of the dots to continue practicing with, and to send one back and it will be back before my level 2 match which I will mount and shoot only a few rounds through to zero right before the level two match, then continue to shoot it after and see how it lasts. This is certainly a testament to their customer service imo, and that they understand that the competitive shooters using their dots may have higher level needs over casual shooters? I’m not sure, but either way I am happy with my second conversation with customer service as my first one went “send it in and we’ll fix it”, and while he was entirely helpful and respectful on the phone, that was his final say. I didn’t say anything about a match coming up or anything, I took it as it was and bought a new one. So it seems that the commitment to Leupold and buying two DPP helped me out in the long run? Not sure, take it as it is. But, after this conversation I am less “SRO 100%” and happy Leupold stands behind their product even though the first time I called was different. Seems Leupold wants to take care of their compete everyday shooters? Although it does seem buying two Leupolds is the move from the start if you committing to the DPP. Hopefully that helps someone.
  25. I agree with these comments as well. There was once or twice I wished it was slightly brighter, but nothing that killed a stage or anything like that. Also, the controls are annoying to say the least, but it works. It is a large window to look through as well, there is however a very small (maybe 1/8th inch) at the bottom the window where you cannot see the dot. Never had that be a problem though. By an “upgrade from Leupold” you mean you have to send the red dot in and they fix it correct? Because that is what the gentleman from Leupold told me to do when I called in.
