  1. Thanks GMB, I totally understand that. They’re pumping out so many bullets and trying to keep everyone happy its not surprising. Probably cutting time off curing or something to decrease production time. But this is not normal for their Bullets then?
  2. I placed a couple orders for a couple cases with Blue over the past few months while I worked through the remaining bullets I had. I had shot ~1000 about a year ago, but they were RN and needed to be loaded too short for my S2, so I went with FP instead. I know so many people use them without issue, and I didnt have any issues with the ones I shot so I placed orders for 4 cases. I finally got through my remaining bullets and went to start loading some of the Blues today and found that tons of my bullets had the coating starting to chip off and that I could easily chip small portions of the coating off with my finger nail. Both near the bevel base, and at the FP edge. There were a few that even chipped off at the bearing surface. I checked 4 different batch numbers and to a certain degree all batches had that issue. I had also ordered 200gr 40 and those bullets did not have that problem in ~1500 bullets. So, is this a common thing with Blues and the rest of the coating is strong enough that people dont get leading? or did I just happen a couple bad batches of bullets? That could be understandable during these crazy times with how many bullets their moving. I plan to reach out to BB depending on the response here. If its common I wont waste my time, but if not Ill send them an email. Any input is appreciated
  3. Awesome, thanks. How much can I remove? As long as the inside of the trigger guard doesn’t show?
  4. Hello all, I was hoping to get a little help with what holster modifications are allowed for USPSA, and specifically CO. I currently have a blade tech holster on a dropper, but there is a part of the holster near the trigger guard that protrudes out further than I would like, and I end up hitting it when I draw and end up giving myself a really bad blister. With my dry fire routine increasing steadily as the new season approaches, my hand is killing me and it’s slowing down my progress. So, all of that said, am I allowed to trim some material off of the holster so I don’t rub my finger on this as long as it completely covers the trigger guard? I couldn’t see anything in the rules about it, but I could have missed something. pictures for reference:
  5. When I started doing load development for my PCC I read reports of this to people before. IIRC Hi Point (or some other manufacturer) made a video about “load development for a PCC” where they showed a cross section of a barrel that had ~15 Bullets stuck in the barrel stacked against each other. Said its was With a heavy Bullet and slow powder. As Ranger said, it’s because all of the powder gets burnt up, and the bullet is no longer accelerating, but actually decelerating. in my PCC I never had this problem using coated Bullets, possibly because they have a more slippery surface? But I still only got 5-10pf higher than my 4-5” pistol barrels.
  6. I also use one of these. Got it for ~$10 in store. Used for about 2 years with no issues and I load it up to the max every time I go. No idea where’s made though.
  7. All I can say is that I have never measured the crimp diameter, no matter what I’m loading. I simply go off the interaction between the bullet and the case and look for the ever so slightest mark/indentation on the bullet after being pulled. If I get there and it passes gauge/plunk I go with it. I’m sure this is how most of finally determine your crimp, but I say this because I think the specific measurement doesn’t matter as much in the end as what your specific bullets do with your specific cases.
  8. Came here to post this. I only use LC brass for my 300 blk brass and it always gauges after forming when using the SB die
  9. I found my S2 chamber to be extremely short as well. For the Blue 147 RN I had to go down to 1.050” oal to get them to plunk. At this length I had failure to feeds 1 in 50 or so. I ended up switching to the TC profile. I tried 50 from a buddy and didn’t have any problems so I ordered a couple cases. Working through my other “odds and ends” bullets IV acquired over the years before moving to those exclusively so I can’t provide an actual reliability report on them personally. the one great thing about having such a short chamber (and fairly tight in my experience) is that if the rounds pass plunk in my S2, they will work in all of my other guns also without problems. Tested this over a while and when a bullet would fail in my S2 I would try it in all the other battles and 100% of the time they would plunk in the other guns (as long as it was simply an oal issue and not a bulged case or something). the bullets IV tried are (all 147s): Blue FP 1.120” DG FP 1.120” Brazos RN 1.090” X-treme RN 1.140” SNS TC 1.140” Everglades RN 1.140” Berrys FRBH 124 1.030” RMR RN 115 1.135” Hope this helps.
  10. IV loaded a ton of those cases without any problems so far. I’m also loading 147 gr Bullets. Hope my luck doesn’t change though. I do segregate CBC brass as I have nothing but problems with that
  11. Did he not keep the original part? If not you could check CZ Custom or possibly Cajun Gun Works.
  12. On my CO S2 (slide mounted red dot) I realized when I over lube the gun I have the same problem. I just simply started using less lube, and none on the barrel near the ejection port. I found that to be the worst location to put lube when using an optic. I also found that I only the issue for 2-3 stages or so if I do overlube it. If I see it on one stage I’ll take down the gun and remove some lube before the next one.
  13. I used Brazos for a while. Had many problems like listed here. Inconsistent sprue was annoying but not detrimental imo. Got a batch of 45 RNLG and there was basically no coating in the LG when I asked them about it they said that was normal. Sent me a new bag after I continued complaining and there was more of the same. Had maybe 1 bullet that was only a half bullet in every other case or so. I can understand missing a little mess up like that, but how can they let a product that looks like that out the door? all in all, I did not get terrible leading and I got really good accuracy out of the .357” 147gr RN over 3.0gr Titegroup. But, the negatives out weighed the pros. Especially when they raised their prices. Blue Bullets for me now.
  14. I was thinking the same thing. This happened to me when I first bought my TSO
  15. ahh makes sense. I was confused that someone on here didn't have that knowledge. Makes more sense now haha
  16. Thanks for your wealth of CZ knowledge as usual George
  17. Agreed with everyone above. It’s loaded until it’s lost or splits during reloading.
  18. I may have gotten a little OCD while doing it lol. But, I got them all working for now. Let just hope they stay like that for a while. Hopefully they won’t require constant tuning?
  19. CZ is the firearm manufacturer, CZC is a completely separate custom shop that has absolutely nothing to do with CZ except that they specialize in parts for their guns
  20. Ok... so after about 30 minutes of bending and taking the spring apart 10 times I finally got one of my mags to work without stripping the follower out on an empty chamber. There still is no lock open on an empty chamber but I didn’t expect that to work anyways. I have grams followers and Hennings base pads on my S2 mags that I have never had a problem with. The next time I need to buy springs and followers I will 100% be going with grams. Just not worth selling these to buy the grams at this point. I do like the way the CZC base pads come off compared to the hennings, but don’t love that they aren’t “toolless”, so it’s a give and take. does anyone know if the grams followers and springs work well with the CZC basepads?
  21. Thanks, I’ll try that on my lunch break today. Best part about this work from home crap haha.
  22. I bought a used TSO (40 ca) and it came with CZC base pads, and I’m assuming CZC springs and followers as well. I have been having lots of problems with the followers in these mags. They do not sin in the magazine correctly and when the gun is empty the slide catches on the follower and rips it out of the magazine, thus jamming up the gun and forcing me to forcibly pull the magazine out of the gun. I tried to call CZC but they apparently don’t have phone support for stuff like this and their automated message said to send an email which I did last Tuesday/Wednesday with no response yet so I figured I would reach out here. this is what the followers look like in the magazine, which is obviously incorrect. I can take a picture of how the slide gets caught on the follower if needed. IV never had to tune mags before so I’m not sure where to start and couldn’t find anything for this, only rounds nosediving. Any help is greatly appreciated.
  23. Iv tried to send you a message a couple of times but I think there is something wrong with the site currently. Do you still do this? Do you have any pictures of those that you have done? What is the cost? Thanks.
