  1. Given the cost of 38sc, I'll take my 929 any day. I find enough once fired 9mm brass at my indoor range make my match rounds, after that it all goes in the practice rounds bin. I use 165gr 358's too. That load is ~124pf and the timer had issues picking up the shots last match it was so quiet and soft shooting. My wife wasn't happy as she had a great run that stage and had to reshoot it. figures.
  2. And its all sitting on my reloading bench. My wife shoots too, so I reload for 2. The bench is a metal one I found at my shop.
  3. I really po’d the mailman at our P.O. Box. 52,000pcs or 1300lbs total lol. The guy running the mail store store left a pile of boxes where the mailman dropped them off. I got 15% off for over 50k. Thankfully I rented an suv for a trip to a match, my car could not have hauled that load back. I didn’t do the math until I got home, well I did in my head and was 900lbs off..... and cdn customs opened 1 box and let us go.
  4. Sorted out 23lbs of good brass from a mix of aluminum, steel and .22's. Now just need to separate the 9, 40, 45's.
  5. I shoot IPSC, ~165 isn't going to work unfortunately. I like ~175 to allow for different chrono's. It's nice as N310 goes a little further.
  6. Uniquetek custom powder funnel -had major sticking issues (which it fixed) http://uniquetek.com/product/T1582
  7. Do any of you get a few rounds not passing due to a crooked bullet? It's still happening 2 different bullets. I'm using a 650 with a redding seating die and a floating toolhead. It's not that many (5-6%) and I use them for practice and they go bang. I just started using the U die but that's not helping either. It's not a huge issue, it just bugs me as I don't have issues with 9mm.
  8. I've been experimenting with N310 recently. I think I have a load that works for pf (4.3gr), I just need to compare with my usual N320 loads (175pf)to see if it's worth the switch. I had some N310@ 4.4gr 190 coated and was getting 179-180pf Sunday. Only had 4.4 and 4.5 loads made up at the time. Primers looked fine, loaded @ 1.215 Ibejheads 190gr roundnose. I was going to go to the range last night but never left the house....
  9. Not to mention using clean powders. I used factory Speer 40’s for the 1st time on my brand new gun and boy were they dirty, really dirty.
  10. I had one of those too, until I got fed up with hours and hours of pulling the handle and got a Roll-Sizer!
  11. A doctor in BC. Gun hit a port and got knocked out of his hand and he went to grab it but it flipped 180. This is Canada where we are getting the blame for gang shootings, serious talk about banning handguns and “assault weapons “ from our progressive pm.
  12. Do those lead wash/wipes actually contain something that binds to lead? one thing that I see but don’t do is dry tumbling indoors. I must say that at the last indoor match we went to those of us in the last squad who stuck around to clean up had masks. But not everyone seems to care. A good friend who is working his way up (practicing indoors) is oblivious and I gave him a spare N100 mask I had when he was shooting cleanup last week.
  13. 40 not much more than 9mm? $150 diff per 1000. The cost diff for reloads from 9mm to 40 is 1.7c not to mention I’m using heavier bullets, clean powder and lead free primers. My 1st case of new 40’s were filthy, factory Speer with lead free primers.
  14. I’m surprised nobody has mentioned what we do up in Canada. To be able to shoot IPSC, IDPA or ICORE we need to pass the Black Badge course. 3 whole days of shooting, and rule discussion (plus multiple choice exam) and passing exercises such as shooting around barricades, lying down, reloads, how to LAMR, el presidente etc. All under the watchful eye of the instructor. He doesn’t think you’re safe, no black badge -no fun. 2 DQ’s in 1 year -re do the bb course. Also you have to complete one match (with no dq) to pass, you have 1 year after finishing the class to do a match.
  15. Brings it down to powder valleys regular price and supposedly there will be free hazmat next week at pv.
  16. Using www.camelcamelcamel show's that it's gone $10 lower last year.
  17. I'm finally stocked up on everything they have to offer. Unless there is a Matrix like GM+ uplevel brain implant chip.....
  18. I'm sure most of us with 929's are crimping harder, I am. I do leave a ring in the coating but it hasn't affected accuracy. And I have zero bullet creep. Helps not to use the nickel plated brass either.
  19. I've switched to the Ibejheads 165gr 358's. Slightly cheaper than the Bayou's and they've sponsored a few ICORE matches we've been too. I like the coating better too. I did take advantage of the 50K+ 15% off, I have a mix of 9mm, 40 and .358s. What I didn't do properly was the math regarding total weight. Luckily for me I rented an SUV for the recent 16th East coast match. At 1300lbs total the 20 boxes would have killed my impreza. Should be set for a while!
  20. That’s Canadian $. DoubleTap is local, to me anyway.
  21. They better stock up on dust covers, there is a reason the first settlers called the nearby town Hurricane. Witching hour ~12:30pm and the wind starts ripping. I was just training so it was kinda fun, I was still kicking Utah out of my Solomon's months later!
  22. 8 hours for us as well with the border crossing and coffee stop.
  23. Dave Olhasso is going to announce the dates shortly for the 2019 IRC, in a day or so I believe. The 2019 USPSA Nationals made the current posted date untenable.
