  1. No idea. I’ve been told it’s quite complicated just flying within Australia with guns.
  2. Mine self destructed Monday. Oddly it’s on a 10mm 2011 I had rebarreled in 40.
  3. In found Blazer the best for our 929’s. WIN was too tight for DAA moons and got some light strikes. Odd
  4. The dates do work for a few of the Perth shooters who are heading over to the IRC after.
  5. I would use an empty case in between loaded rounds, unless others have found there isn’t any setback from the 2nd round onwards.
  6. I use a photo backdrop my wife bought years ago when she was into photography. It was a pos on eBay that wasn’t what was advertised but the seller was a real piece of work who would retaliate if we left a negative review. It’s around a 14’ x 24’ cloth blue tarp -not slippery. Great for a dry or snowy range. Wouldn’t use it when it is wet though. Simply fold up and unroll in the garage.
  7. Look up the user snowshooze on ebay. I wasn't sure if I'm allowed to post links.
  8. Just thought I'd post my thoughts about snowshooze latest gadget. It's awesome. I've automated a 650 to deprime and size brass. And with 40's when a nested 9mm round (or 10mm) gets stuck this case feed "switch" will get pushed back "off" and not strain the case feed mechanism. The only issue is when I need to pull a round from the sizing station I'll grab it and pull it off. 5 seconds later it's back in. I have no been asked to post this btw, just really impressed. ....and still amazed that Dillon has not released a 650+ that doesn't incorporate all these aftermarket gizmo's.
  9. No issues. I have however set off 2 of the non-toxic ones in my 650. I've stopped trying to squeeze and seat them deeper for my revolver. 1st time was loud but the 2nd was a ear wrecking underwear staining bang. No idea why the difference.
  10. Turns out the SVI dealer up here has a 2yr import permit so I should get my gun next week???? 13months if that's the case. whoo!!
  11. Yup. Brisbane is a beautiful city. Been there twice for a few days on our way to dive the indo Pacific.
  12. My thoughts... We’ve never had an extraction issue. I sort my 9mm brass for a single head stamp. I’m lucky it’s the most popular of range brass but when looking at 357/38sp brass and moonclips it turns out there are no charts on TK with S&B, figures. I’ve a lot of S&B. Plus DAA 929 moons are 1/3 the cost and I’ve got 3 already that won’t gauge. I’m assuming bent slightly. I also like to leave brass behind when flying, not sure how the TSA would look at a bag of brass. And overweight fees are something to avoid, (I’d be shipping ammunition to matches anyway). 9mm brass is almost like junk.
  13. We took the extended firing pins out.
  14. Some tricks. we use stevia/xylitol packs instead of sugar in the example of apple with peanut butter, apple with cinnamon is yummy vinegar, spices, bbqing are a good substitute for oils, sugar and frying After many $1000’s spent, the only supplements I’d use are fish oil (liquid, not capsules), whey protein, multi vitamin and decent magnesium supplements. I also like flax seed meal, but it’s more food than supplement. I have a shake every day with: frozen berries steamed kale whey protein ginger + circumin root flax seed meal fish oil this would make a great post workout shake if you took the flax and oil out.
  15. Keep in mind why Sport pistol is so popular vs titegroup in regards to melting the coating on coated lead.
  16. Learn to scuba dive and head over to little Cayman. Best diving in the Caribbean.
  17. Given it’s a 2hr flight and not many miles we will probably head down. Plus I’ve a supplier in Washington, MO who keeps inviting us to visit. probably make a 5 day mini vacation out of it. Any ideas what to see/do?
  18. I’m good with my build. Was unsure about the grip but after talking to a few guys I realized I made the right choice not going aggressive micro pockets. I’ve a strong grip but soft hands, it would be bloody if I ever did a multi day course. I just don’t develop calluses
  19. I was asked at the time but I didn't have any ideas so I left it until SVI emailed the dealer up here yesterday. Problem is nothing will be exported out of the US until your gov't starts back up.
  20. I have wide 2E feet too but I'm able to wear Solomon's all day without any tingling I get if I try to wear shoes that are too tight. New Balance sells a snazzy looking trail shoe in 2E: Summit Unknown
  21. Funny how nobody mentions booze. It’s always a willpower destroyer when I’m leaning out for summer. A glass of wine or 2 and I’m raiding the kids snacks. Plus alcohol slows fat burning and contains 7 calories per gram to boot. Also start slow, I’ve heard countless stories about people getting on the fitness bandwagon only to do several weeks of working out every day only to get injured - and quit. 45 minutes of decent intensity 3-4 times a week is plenty I’m sure people think we work out like all the time. But 3-4 days a week and occasionally when traveling and shooting, maybe not for 10 days. That and 20+years of weight training does wonders.
  22. Any idea how far along SVI is once they ask for a serial #? Or does everyone have one thought out when they place the order???
  23. Just a small quarter inch by quarter inch piece of paper on the top part of the battery
