I shoot a Tanfoglio and have some of Henning's short base pads on my magazines. I get 20 rounds in them and the shorter size does make the reloads seem much smoother/quicker. I have two for just this reason. They reload smoother for me.

Well, despite some growing pains I thought palm scoring went well. I did not have to keep up with a score sheet at each stage to turn in before I could walk the stage. The shooting order was easy to keep. When my bag got rained on I was not worried about my little stickers getting ruined. I'm now waiting for an affordable way for my small club to be able to use it.

By the time I thought about it at the awards I was on the way back to the motel. I was still shocked that there was good stuff on the prize table when it got down to me. I was not even aware there was a prize table until the awards. I'll drop mine in the mail in the morning. Roger

Accuracy match. I don't really don't recall any memory stages. I realize that I need to work on driving the gun harder in arrays and between arrays. I don't need to call my shot and then look for a hole to make sure it's there either.

A stray round in checked luggage can cause considerable difficulty if it is not in a factory box, and there is no spare hole in one of your factory boxes in which to put it. Written reports to the local PD, TSA and airline ... and an offer from the airline to "store the round until you return from the trip". I'm afraid that these rounds were not in the checked bags, they were in the carry on. As they say, you learn something new everyday. It's just a harder lesson on some days.

Those are more like mid afternoon results. We finished our last stage at about 7:40 We damn sure tried to shoot them all, but ran out of light.

So disappearing targets don't count? Then I'm only in for $5 then.

It was after 4 pm when we were abble to start on stage 15 ..7:40 was when the last shooter ,,,Me ... got off the range, I don't have a good first imprestion of palm scoreing I don't think all that back up was due to the palm scoring. I was on that squad that finished at 4:00. Did you guys shoot all the stages you were supposed to today? If so great you were only in the muck 3 hours and 40 minutes. We were in it for 8 hours. I'm not impressed with Tulsa yet. It reminds of the VA/MD match in 2007

I like a 12.5 variable ISMI in mine. I shoot the same thing, 5 inch Eagle in .40. When I play IDPA I put a 9lb in with my minor loads.

Pete already has a back-up Limited gun for his back-up Limited gun. You can never have enough back-up guns. You never know when a new shooter might show up with ammo and no gun.

Or you could just get an Eagle in .40 and get some duty mags. Then you have a back-up limited gun at the same time.
