I just replaced my recoilmaster with a 12lb spring and tooless guide rod. Gun runs great but going to get an 11lb and test it with my reloads and some freedom munitions ammo. The springs I’ve been using are the Wolff variables and seem to be holding up

I was just using clp for awhile but I’ve now been using the Lucas oil and grease on all my competition guns and it’s been working great

Ive got 3 Evos all on STI frames. Two older ones that didn’t take much work, but put one on a new STI and had to do a lot of fitting

I bought a gun with a DAA mim safety, what part breaks usually? Was thinkin already of buying a pt safety so it matches my other gun

I’ve seen guys put pins coming up from the msh and I’ve also seen guys put a little bead on the bottom of their grip safeties with a welder and holds it in to deactivate also.

Idk why the got rid of the edge I love my 2, was looking at the Hawk at one point too for a friend wanting an entry cheaper 2011 but I see they didn’t make that very long

Double alpha makes a nice shielded safety also and cheaper than the others. It’s a mim part not a machined one but so far mines been holding up fine

I have the cyclone button on one of my guns and it works well, no readjustment and doesn’t hit my left hand when shooting

Had a 550 and 650, ended up selling the 550 to get another 650, just much smoother the case feeder option is awesome and can just put out a lot more rounds

I used to run a cr speed holster and liked it but I now use a DAA race master and love it. Def happy I changed to it

I love my DAA belts. Ridgid and fit under my gut comfortably

I run gen 1 mags for limited in 40 and they ran great right out of the bag. Have since changed out springs bases and followers with TTI parts. My gen 1 9 mags run well but had some issues with my 170 and some of my 10rd mags need some tuning. Just ordered an mbx to see how it goes

Lonestar have a different contour on the front or is it just the picture?

I got a 9mm rock island and put a dot on it and a bushing comp, extended mag release and was wining local matches with it for awhile till I bough a steelmaster. I didn’t feel bad drilling into a rock island and the guns prob got 8k if not more rounds thru it and still runs great. Only had to replace a broken extractor once

I throw mine in my sonic cleaner for like 10 mins, loosens it up then a pick then usually my dremel with a small wire brush cleans it up nice

I use a go gun on my open and a Phoenix trinity thumbrest on my limited. I just like having more consistent grip and know my thumb won’t b dragging on the slide at all

I have to of the large rollmark Edges, one in 9 and one in 40. Use them for steel matches and uspsa. It keeps up with everything. I’ve beat guys with fancy custom limited guns, an edge will b just fine for just about anything

I shot a match in mid November when it was mayb 40 degrees, even with cold hands the Evo stays dug into your hand

Slide has some play in it, is there a way to tighten it back up?

I see a lot of people taking a file to their JM pro and filling around the lapsing gate, why is this better for quad loading?
