  1. Shoot with both eyes open ,but more accurate on long distance shots, with my weak eye closed.
  2. How about a professional stippling job? You could gauge how aggressive you want them to be.
  3. I ride the right safety on the right side of the pistol. Haven't had any issues that way.
  4. I placed an order for a couple of svis....12-15months out.... but I got them decked out to the gills , just the way I want 'em...
  5. No , just your standard steel.
  6. the tanfos are high quality and very much underated. had a stock3 extreme, and it was a hell of a shooter!
  7. The ed brown one always served me right.
  8. One beautiful pistol! Congrats. Enjoy every shot!
  9. i see seasoned guys in matches laugh at themeselves, loudly, when they screw up.... so for us novices, who cares if you f up?

  13. my DVC ltd has ran flawlessly ,but in fairness, it was one of the earlier version(fwiw), and possibly better fitted(?)..... but, i know a couple of guys who bought them in the last year or so who have had a nightmare of experiences with them......what gives? 15. put your magazine in a vice ,with the top facing up. carefully, with a pair of thin plyers ,expand the lips of the tube outwardly, ever so slightly. this should "fill" the space where the lside stop engages and will lock your slide back.worked for me.
  16. That's a pretty looking gun! congrats!
  17. Tactical 5.0 will serve you well. I know a couple of Leo's in TX , who use them for daily duty.
  18. I have both, in 9mm, and prefer the eagle.
  19. I found that with new STIs, oil it well first, then shoot about 500 rounds thru it, with intermittent oiling. The powder and oil combo will slick the gun and help with Breaking in the pistol. Then take it apart, and clean. Just my $.002.
  20. New guy here, but not to shooting. Use sti 2011s in my competition and self defense training. Honored to be here. Lots to learn from you guys. Thank you for having me and this terrific site.
