  1. Those are grips are done by Shay at Akai, they definitely look good and provide the traction needed..
  2. Looks like they don't make blue in 1mm size. What sight brand do you use and what size did you get? I use a Dawson front and I measured the fiber rod at .98mm edit: blue and violet are the same it looks like. Please refer to my dealer section, or signature for more information about blue fiber optic. sometimes we get to focused on the fiber color, and we shoot the iron sighted gun like an open gun. If you are getting sloppy hits, always default to the fundamentals. I will run a blue, just so that I can get my eyes back on the front sight, and I just may stay there since blue will be dark and I can just use the front post and negate bright fiber optic, that will tell me where the impact of my shots will go instead of relying on a dot to determine whether to break the shot or not. Good luck.
  3. welcome! Lone Star innovations(on the dealer forum here) for pistol. rifle and shotgun- Claudio at Briley,
  4. I use a red, and if I start getting sloppy hits I will switch to a different color (typically green or blue(blue just does nothing))just to change things up a bit, since a lot of our game is mental.
  5. all the powders mentioned are great powders, I personally use titegroup with everything except .45. Hell I even sprinkle a little on my eggs!
  6. I shot them as my practice bullet, and I liked them so much, I started using them at major matches. Great bullet, great company, Great to deal with..
  7. Traditional extractors ...... Gah I hate Aftecs! yeah, I am not a big fan of the aftecs. I personally like caspian extractors. Well you know KC Eusebio, I believe was shooting a caspian 9mm major, and of course now a glock open gun. Jo jo Vidandes, I believe shoot a 9 major. So not all GM's shoot 38sc only Personally I like the sc cartridge better because of the limitless choices of powder and bullet combinations. But not having to pick up your brass is what makes 9mm attractive, especially if you shoot alot of matches with st augestine grass.
  8. What extractors are you guys using with success? Aftec, or just traditional extractors.
  9. little hole definately goes up, some have canted their comps where the blow hole is not at the 12 o'clock position. alot of times, without a comp the gun will go up and to the right during recoil, the idea is to position the compensator to make the gun go straight up and down.
  10. There is an NROI interpretation on the website that covers it. Basically what we're looking at is a standard production holster attached to a race gun holster belt hanger. It allows for more adjustment than a BladeTech DOH but doesn't really change anything. They are perfectly legal. To me, thats sounds like a great idea! Being able to adjust the gun for your particular body type, can only be good thing and a safe way for a holster to be mounted. I think i am going to start selling some race type belt hangers, lol
  11. Thats why their is blue fiber optic, It does not light up, so its good way to blacken the sight cleanly.
  12. I would like to see the holster in question. Most/all "race type holster" during the draw, the gun needs to be pulled up from the holster only about a 1/4" to clear the front of the trigger gaurd (where the gun is securely held in place) before extending the gun forward. "production type holster" The gun must be pulled up the legnth of the area in front of the ejection area and must clear the holster before that gun can be extended forward towards the target. I am not an RO, but that is my vague interpretation of that particular rule. Personally, I have ran both type holsters and i didn't see a "significant" adavantage from a race holster compared to a production type holster in my draw speeds, but that is just me.
  13. I agree with Corey! I am suprised with all the technology out there, that we can't just take an interactive online course, and get certified. Are there things that need to change? I am sure there are, because this sport is so dynamic. With new props, new gadgets comming out, we have to be flexible and be able to adapt to the new times. Couple Examples: Palm scoring system, or any computer scoring device new props, maybe getting approval prior to shooting them. foreign competitiors and classifications.
  14. I am not burned out, I am on fire!!!

  15. Looks that way! Thanks guys we will update the website...
  16. this subject came up last time I was at Briley, and we took a standard versa max off the shelf, and put our versa max bolt handle in the bolt and had no problem whatsoever. It fit like a glove. We then put a Benelli M1/2 bolt handle in the standard versa max bolt and it fit but it stuck out the other side of the bolt, which would hinder cycling of the bolt. Now there could be a difference between the standard versa max, and the tactical model? I will find out and let you guys know what we come up with. Can someone post a pic of their factory versa max tactical bolt handle. edited for pic
  17. I am not a big fan of PMC brass, although I am a fan of winchester brass. Look at your crimp and make sure that you are not getting any setback, when the round gets pushed into the chamber. Measure the overall length, and then take your bullet and smack the projectile side onto some wood, fairly hard, and then re measure the oal, and if it has changed, you may tighten up your crimp station. I have never had a case head separation(knock on wood). Are you shooting lead/molly or fmj/jacketed bullets when this occurred? Is your barrel throated to accept lead/molly? Also, what is your load specs?
  18. I thought this was my post. lol, I have a post that has the same title. lol
  19. Problem the new carrier has a weight restrickson of 30lb.Wont even put it on the truck. And Yes it is lead. After all i shoot. That is new to me, I thought the weight restriction was 70lbs???
  20. At chad, I do not have an order for you. Here is an email from Rick on the 6th of July. This will let you know the progress of your orders. As long as I have been doing business with Rick, he has always had a long backlog on his bulletfeeders, due to the demand for them. hopefully with the new partnership with Double alpha this will speed up the process for future orders. "My first shipment of the new version units (in handgun calibers) is enroute and I expect them to arrive here next week. Since this is my first foray into the world of importing, I'm not sure if there will be any delay in US Customs, but as soon as I receive these units, I'll be filling quite a few long standing orders. The new version in rifle calibers is not going to become available until late Sept or early Oct. The dimensions are currently being converted to metric and prototypes tested. I am still making some rifle units manually, but that's a really slow process and I'm ramping down anyway as the remaining original version components are used up." I am hoping to get alot of these backorders off the books in the next couple of weeks. Thank you all for your patience. If you need further assistance feel free to send me a PM. Thanks Sean
