  1. Mike if you continue that statement they will make you sell your basketball team.
  2. MSA Sordin Supreme. Excellent product with super customer service and repair center in Florida. Had one mike go out on mine sent it to them in Crystal River, Fl on Monday had them back that Thursday. No charge for repair or shipping.
  3. Please keep this topic going on USPSA.org Forums. Curious to see what if any responses there. DO NOT POST HERE PLEASE
  4. I generally use nothing but SRPs for all my loading except revolver. When they are not available I use Magnum Sm Pistol Primers. I have never noticed more than a 4-5 ft per second difference in velocity between the two.
  5. I use the MGM Chuck mentioned. The plates swing when hit making it ideal if you are practicing alone.
  6. I load on Dillon machines, tumble brass, lube depending on caliber and reload.
  7. My Silhouette load is : 124 gr JHP 7.8 gr Silhouette 1.155 OAL Gun Akai with 6 holes in the barrel. Limcat with 6 barrel holes. Power factor Akai 170, Limcat 172. No signs of excessive pressure with either gun.
  8. You can also have the 627 converted to 38 super. I had one of mine done as a back up to my two original 38 supers. I converted a Ti cylinder. It came out great and is accurate.
  9. Very well said Kevin. Who replies and the information they provide should be interesting.
  10. Wayne hit it dead on the head. Those were the exact problems. In addition their staff would shoot and RO and had no clue what the rules were and would not listen to the people that knew the rules. It is a nice facility wish they could work out the problems. A Sunday match would be great also.
  11. I agree with Chills 1994. Just because the SC purchase was 7 years ago the membership has a right to know what it cost along with any other major expenditures. The money spent is the members money. I along with many others want to know where our money is going and the planned long term results of those expenditures. What is the long term benefit to the USPSA and it's members. This certainly will not hurt the organization. Right now it seems to be a shady deal due to the refusal to provide the information. If the Executive Director was told they could release the HHF why has it not been done? As far as posting to the USPSA Forums it seems to be a waste of time. There is far more information discussed and available on the BE Forum.
  12. You need to contact Bruce Wells the Section Coordinator. He can fill you in on the previous problems at the range. I will PM Bruce's phone number.
  13. There is no need from an organization like ours to keep the membership in the dark regarding major transactions. We do not have anyone competing with us like normal for profit businesses. It is time for the BODs, President, and Executive Director to answer the questions being asked regarding financial transactions like Steel Challenge, paperless scoring systems etc. An entire Board Meeting held in executive session is unbelievable. Why would this ever be necessary for an organization like ours. I was president of a multi million dollar food distribution company and can only remember one occasion of going into executive session and that was in regard to a specific employee. The food distribution business is as competitive as any business out there.
  14. The financial position of the organization should be totally transparent. Purchases such as the Steel Challenge deal should be disclosed to the members as well. I agree with Sarge that any major purchases i.e. Steel Challenge, paperless scoring systems etc. should be voted on by the membership. If there is nothing to hide then there is absolutely no reason not to disclose these things.
  15. There are several people in this area that have experience as Match Directors. Had they been advised of this problem they would have stepped up to get the job done. There were vendors and suppliers in addition to the range that based their prices on the two year commitment..
  16. While we are asking questions of the organization. Why was the Area 6 Match moved from St Augustine to Atlanta when the previous Area 6 Director committed to having the match at Ancient City for 2 years?
  17. I am using Gram's internals, Hardy spacers and SNL base pads and have not experienced any problems. I get 29 + 1 with my 170 mm tubes. I do not glue the spacers in although I may start doing it to avoid any possible problems. Where is the 3M two sided tape available?
  18. Carmoney's comment is correct. The Top 20 would basically be the same if they shot major. The 8 shots are an advantage shooting steel but the 6 shots have the scoring advantage. The best shooters are going to finish on top whether they shoot 6 or 8 shot revolvers. It is still the indian not the arrow.
  19. I ran 10.8 gr of 3N38 in my SV IMM 38 SC open gun to get 178 PF. Every barrel / comp set up determines what it takes. Some barrels are fast some slow. I am currently shooting 9 mm major open guns.. I run 8.1 gr Silhouette with a MG 125 JHP and get 179 PF in my full size Limcat with 6 barrel holes and a 4 port comp and 178 PF in my Akai with six barrel holes and a 2 port comp with 2 side ports.
  20. Volusia County Gun and Hunt Club has two USPSA matches every month. The first and fourth Saturday's.. They run excellent matches with very good stages. Check out their web site. If you don't mind riding a little Saint Augustine Practical Shooters (SAPSA) has excellent matches the 3 rd Saturday of the month at the FOP Range. (Located at the Outlet Mall Exit)
  21. I have one of each. If I had to choose one it would be the USPSA Model. This is due to the features mentioned above.
  22. Never done it. However they have a waiting list so your slot should go to the first person on the list. If they will not refund your money then that would make a difference to me. In that case what difference does it make it Jim Smith or John Doe is shooting. The slot was paid for before the waiting list was started.. I am interested to see what others think.
  23. 16 rounds is about the limit with legal mags.
  24. I know they shoot in the Palm Beach area. Contact Biguy on this forum for more info.
