  1. I don't reload. I still shoot. That brings up the current "where ammo?" problem. I took advantage of a deal GT Distributors had on FHP turn-in guns and ammo - Gen 4 Glock 37's in .45 GAP. $329 for the gun, $.28 cpr for ammo: 140gr .45 GAP @ 1130 fps (158 PF). They had some other ammo that would make major in limited... but I have a Limited Major gun in .40 already. For those not familiar, .45 GAP was made to be "45 ACP in the same length as 9mm," reducing the grip length of the gun from a large-frame Glock to the standard-frame. It's functionally a Glock 17/22 frame with a Glock 20 slide. Standard mags are 10 rounds, making Production a simple choice. As a bonus, FHP had already configured them with fiber front and flat black rear sights, so it was set up as I prefer. First lesson... it WILL NOT fit in most Glock 17 holsters as it's 3mm wider (it fits Glock 20 holsters fine). One eBay stop later and the Comp-Tac was on the way. I put a titanium guide rod, 13 lb recoil spring, and TTI plunger/striker/trigger springs in it and my lord, it runs like a scalded cat. With the additional weight/balance and respring, it's not that much difference from a Glock 17 @ 130PF. By math alone the bullet produces 26% wider holes (almost 2.5mm wider than 9mm), which doesn't hurt on those close-to-the-perf shots. With empty mag, it comes to 30.41 oz now (up from 28.75 w/empty mag, factory config, vs 24.87 oz factory weight on a Glock 17 w/mag). It should be a fun rest-of-season, and I've got more than enough ammo to practice and shoot matches now.
  2. https://www.heliustactical.com/products/stainless-seventeen-seventy-six I have one of these I'm not using that I'd be happy to get rid of. 1/2x28, .430 diameter hole.
  3. I might have one in the parts bin in the garage that would work. Let me check.
  4. If you contact the others, sometimes they can update the results to tag your number. Unless they have higher scores on a stage, though, it won't matter.
  5. Just bought one from someone on here and waiting on it to get to my FFL.
  6. I'm not up there with the numbers above, but this classifier was at my last local and I shot my highest CO classifier score to date (just over 68%) and it was the final classifier I needed to make B (it dropped a 50% that had been weighing me down). I shot a second gun (Production) at that match but fumbled the reload on the move, costing me time, so I intentionally put three in the NS to zero it vs. accidentally putting a 40 up... I chose to leave on the first partial and take the second one last. Probably a confidence thing.
  7. I've got one on mine. Shorter pull, shorter reset, lighter SA pull. I think I replaced a hammer spring, too, but I don't remember. I'd have to pull out my notes.
  8. When I'm not shooting or doing something at home, I'm probably playing poker. I've got a habit of keeping a chip everywhere I play... and finally got around to getting a frame/cabinet for them to display them. The best times are mixing both... like Area 4 in Tulsa / Hard Rock in Tulsa. I'm sure there are a few other enthusiasts here...
  9. I absolutely love my Victory. Fantastic guns, both of them (with matching optics).
  10. I don't, but I appreciate the offer. I couldn't start now if I wanted to... no primers.
  11. I run a modified Comp-Tac and it fit with a little filing.
  12. Primary guns are Glock 45 (CO) with a 17g5 backup, and a Glock 45 (PROD). So yeah, small frame, same grip, just slightly bigger bullets. In fact, once I make B (probably this weekend) in CO I'll probably switch to PROD for the rest of the year just because I have the ammo. I'll save the 9mm for Level II's I want to shoot CO instead. Worst comes to worst I've got lots of factory (major++) .40 cal, and enough Syntech .45 to keep the single stacks happy.
  13. It's a "dog flashlight." Like a dog whistle, but in a wavelength humans can't see.
  14. As long as it's on a Glock frame. Lots of folks butthurt that their P80's aren't legal in Production.
  15. Reminescent of another thread, but your last assertion is currently the letter of the law (rules), and in the first case it would be a bump to open if there were a way to measure against the box during the course of fire (there isn't): 6.2.5.1 However, if a competitor fails to satisfy the equipment or other requirements of a declared handgun Division during a course of fire, the competitor will be placed in Open Division, if available, otherwise the competitor will shoot the match for no score. If a competitor fails to satisfy the equipment or other requirements for PCC or Open Division during the course of fire, he will shoot for no score. Production/CO rules specifically require a WORKING light, so if it didn't work, that's Open... for now.
  16. Given that the 22 and 17 (and 37) use the exact same frame, how would this not be production legal? It's the slide that denotes the "Model" of Glock in the case of a common frame (e.g. it's not a 17 frame, it's a "small frame" in Glock parlance). Under the current D4/21.3 rule, you'd be just fine swapping out the slide/barrel combo even IF the frame was specific to a model.
  17. No need to "consider" anything - the list is public.
  18. You didn't read far enough down the thread. Troy didn't say it wasn't legal, his email was misinterpreted. It's legal. ""Orange", "Black" and other variants of the CZ 75, Shadow, Shadow 2, and SP-01 are approved"
  19. LOL. Go argue with Merriam Webster. "Direct" and "directly" both have several denotations. There's the way you're using it, and there's "use this mount plate to directly attach your optic to your slide," meaning it's straight and connected, e.g. a "direct route."
  20. I suspect you don't know all the meanings of "direct" and "directly." That's like saying "a direct route could only be one step away from something because any more steps and you're actually going through somewhere else to get there, so it's not direct." Check out MW for the definitions. The optic is directly mounted to the slide by means of an adapter plate to make a direct connection between slide and optic, hence it's "directly mounted to the slide."
  21. Yep, just replying to the quibble over capacity. Glock and others are starting at 22+1 anyway, and 19+1 will rarely change the point in a stage reloads will happen.
  22. Depends. Glock guys are getting 22+1 in their ETS 140mm mags, so it varies across the board.
  23. 1. I'm registered but not squadded and my check is literally in the mail (last Friday).
  24. On another note, I have a Dan Wesson 8" .38 Spl that would be fun to run in Steel Challenge once. Anyone know how a Dan Wesson 15-2 maps to S&W frame sizes?
