I use small rifle primers, so the extended firing pin gets a more consistant stike. I understand the rifle primers are a little tougher?

The course specifies an unloaded start and the shooter has 11 rounds in his mag. Many do to begin a loaded start, but it is easy to forget. So that calls for a bump to Open: 6.2.5.1 However, if a competitor fails to satisfy the equipment or other requirements of a declared Division during a course of fire, the competitor will be placed in Open Division, if available, otherwise the competitor will shoot the match for no score. Appendix D4, 9: Yes, maximum 10 rounds loaded in any magazine after the start signal So, my question is: Isn't that a bit harsh? To ruin an entire match because of 1 extra round? Perhaps just a procedural would be appropriate?

The new sign up process worked for me, and it is tons better than last years "wait list". There are a few things.... It required a middle initial. Wierd. It required a country be typed in, when it already said United States. Worst was it would not work on Ipad Safari beacause it said I had to choose a payment option at the top, when there was none visible. I switched to Chrome, and the option for adult or juvenile was visible.

Yet another long thread about PCC that proves one fact for certain. PCC is the most divisive change to hit USPSA in a long time, probably forever. There is a reason for that polarization of opinions. Everyone knows what that reason is. You just thought it without it being said.

Speaking as an RO, (CRO actually), I will not run rifles at a pistol match. I just won't. If someone wants to shoot a rifle, there are plenty of other competitions. My reasons have likely already been stated in this thread somewhere. Major matches need experienced staff, who are always volunteers. I will not volunteer at a rifle match.

I didn't even know this process had a name. Press check? Did someone just make that up? It seems like an insecure thing to do, like there is some need to make sure that the gun is actually functioning as it was designed. The slide goes back and forth, a round goes in the chamber. Why does one need to question that this most basic operation isn't working? Now, if you suspect a problem, then fine, check it (I still dont see where this is a 'press'), but to do it everytime seems paranoid.

As usual, Charlie has nailed the assessment of the match, and I couldn't agree more except to say the first one should be an F minus.

Thanks. The reason I asked is that the facebook search would not find that page using "uspsa" nor "united states practical shooting" nor "us practical shooting". It had to be exactly "U.S. Practical shooting...", with those embedded periods. Just saying, if needed info is going to be on that page, then if the page were a little easier to find, or even mentioned on the uspsa website, then perhaps some of this confusion could be avoided.
