Haven't heard that name in years...nor have seen anything out there new from Aaron in a long time.. his stuff was pretty cool.. looking around the web..see some references to his guns..but his website is not to be found..

Did a search for repair..but came up empty... does anyone know if there is a way to repair and S_I grip?? the area in questions is the raised ring that holds the mag release button in. that area has worn enough from wear and tear and undercutting the grip that the mag release will not hold in when under spring pressure.. thanks for any tips, solutions or ideas..

very cool how does the dot track with the 6 ports??? do you have a comparison with like two vertical ports??? how about velocity loss..how much there?? thanks for sharing..

Bill.. the blued gun has two port holes...it has the swoop cut and then a beretta style cut on the front..talk with Geo..he did the lightening on the gun.. the dot tracked the same on both guns..straight up then back to POA...the gun with the port holes the dot did not rise as far..but on the clock I did not see the difference in practice sessions..the short gun was a little louder and took about 3/10 more powder to make major..

Bill. here is a photo I got from Travis T. of his current open gun that George built..which looks almost identical to the gun Matt built for him years ago... Here are my last two open gun that EGW built... I would talk with George about what he finds works..and how you shoot..some of the current rage guns are pretty cool..but after getting to shoot them..I find they are not for me...I have settled back to the hardchrome gun as I find it the best balance for me to shoot..

Very sad news.. I met Floyd and Carol when I first started shooting years and years ago.. a great shooter and contributor to the sport..he will be missed..

would love to see photos of this sight too...I've emailed Scott about them..but still would like to see them before going to the expense.. ...if anyone has photos...I can post them..just email them to me..

I keep hearing good things about the people an product at comp-tac.. for now I have Kytac gear ( holster and pouches ) and am really happy with them.

we were meant to be together... *sigh* Most excellent.. congratulations on the stage.. it is a beautiful things when it all comes together... keep up the hard work..it all pays off..

A little more expensive..but the Kytac Sooper Hooper fits the gun and sight just fine..

Steve..in the STI tubes I am using spacers in ( short 126mm) I am not using any thing..they are placed and fitted tight into the tube..these are the plastic ones that come in the STI 9mm follower and spacer kits rtr's mags, I think he sent to Beven and they have what looks like a metal spacer fitted in..not sure if they are welded or not..

OK..so here is a start..this was a gun I had a year ago.. Top end built by EGW..cut slide, beretta style cut and rear swoop to lighten..two barrel ports, five-port comp..everything else pretty standard..Allchin mt with C-more, Dawson magwell, EGW hammer, sear, disconnector..

the 180s sound interesting..be interested in your data.... very cool..

I am always looking for ideas for project guns and what to do...and hate looking through all the threads... so wanted to start a thread to post photos of guns..be they open, limited, production, L-10, 3-gun, Bianchi, steel, revolvers, IDPA...10/22s, varmit, long-range.. Post photos and details on the gun... thanks... I hope this works...

I would be suspicious... need a guage.. I have an STI and and SV tube one with Beven's old follower and one with the new follower with the 4mm pad..they fit the guage and hold 29 tightly..not good for a reload..but great for a start a lot a years ago...when USPSA couldn't decide where to measure the magazine..there were some short 170 mags around..with Beven's 11mm pad you can get a nice current measure 170mm now..

Haven't tried the Arrendondo version..but I have two of the Limcat models...one from the mid-90s.. not had any problem with them coming loose, cutting into the dot or anything like that..

Just a fun couple of hours spending it with the kids..watch the lunar eclipse.. was a great night and the 5-year old and the 2-year old got a kick of staying up a little later than usual... my five year old got a little scare when after the moon went into total shadow..moments after this photo..the clouds came and made the moon disappear.. "Daaaaaaddddddd......Luna ( of "Bear in the Big Blue House"fame) is gone...is she coming back" anyway..it was a nice moment to remember listening to them ohhh and ahhh..

Julien..thanks for the info..would like to hear your impressions of your gun vs. the other with the barrel ports... keep us updated on the mods you make... what's your opinion on the the difference between the light recoil master and the std setup??
