  1. Yeah that's what I was suspecting, was just wondering if anyone else had already. Thanks.
  2. Hmmm, I cleaned my grip with alcohol and applied the grip tape very carefully and it hasn't moved or anything for a few thousand rounds. Used Jessup brand griptape cause I noticed that's what a popular grip brand was using too. I believe I heated it up when applying it to set the adhesive too.
  3. Range I have a membership at is open till 9pm and has lights. In the winter I can go after work and shoot outside even when it's dark and cold. It helps living in the South too.
  4. I ordered some skateboard grip tape and stuck it on the front strap and back strap of the shadow and I like it a lot more than Tanfoglio's checkering. Less painful and grippier. Palm swell bogies for the grips.
  5. I used an RMR, and while it's different from the vortex, i didn't exactly like these type of.dots for PCC. Probably comes down to personal preference, but a tube dot like aimpoint micro / holosun micros were much easier for me to pick up quicker and not lose the dot when in awkward shooting positions.
  6. The SP-01 Shadow seems like the obvious answer here. Perfect for production and SSP legal. You don't really lose much to the shadow 2 in my opinion.
  7. I came so close to buying a late model strike one when they were selling for $750 but decided against it. Are the archon type A's even out yet? I didn't even realize the salient guns came to market at all.
  8. Any love for the Kadet 2? It's such an awesome and reliable 22lr trainer. I just wish my 13lb hammer spring would set all of the rounds off so I wouldn't have to switch springs so often. I still like my sp01 shadow even after shooting it next to a shadow 2. I just can't get used to the serrations they used on the shadow 2.
  9. Sell the guns that aren't for competition, to fund a 2011. That's pretty much what I'm gonna have to do. At this rate if it isn't competitive in some division or sport, then I don't really want it in the safe just to have it. Too many guns, not enough time to make M with them all.
  10. At least it shouldn't be too hard to sell off the steel semiflat trigger. I've been considering one myself but haven't found one for sale in the US.
  11. Here's an odd one. A while back I sold my 92s and got a nice deal on a dash (90-two) and was wondering if this gun still fit idpa requirements for SSP as it appears to have been discontinued. If a gun has been discontinued it has to have 20k guns in circulation, which I have no idea if that's the case. Then again the dash is just a variation of the 92fs/92A1 which is still being produced, so I have no idea if it's safe to play in idpa ssp with.
  12. Yeah the Henning trigger seems like it'd be a good option to fox this, or it may be time to bust out the trusty dremel.
  13. The ping pong ball is a pretty interesting idea. My only experience shooting a dot in rain was a light drizzle with my c-more and the carbon fouling was more obstructing than any small water droplets on the lens.
  14. Had the opportunity to play with an open 2011 after shooting a match with an open xdm, and yeah, the difference in recoil is definitely noticeable, even with similar power factor ammo.
  15. Does the tac sol have last round hold open?
  16. I went from a medium curved to a long flat SVI trigger and I definitely like it. One thing I like about the svi trigger is I can replace the shoe if I decide I want a medium or a short at another point.
  17. I learned the hard way that CZ's often need shorter ammo when I couldn't show clear at the end of a stage. When I finally cleared the gun, the bullet stayed in the rifling and the powder spilled out inside the gun.
  18. 13lb hammer, factory shadow recoil spring. Had a few failure to feeds with an 11lb recoil so I went back to factory.
  19. The alternative (not advised) strategy is credit card debt. Don't do that.
  20. I put a zev connector and spring kit (didn't install the light striker spring) then I added a lone wolf ultimate trigger housing because it has an overtravel stop and I was happy with the results. Did a little polishing because I was bored. I don't see any reason to spend $150+ on a fancy Glock trigger.
  21. It definitely looks like a batch of .40 TSO's came in recently. They're all over GunBroker right now.
  22. Lots of good information in this thread. Thanks for the info, now I'm gonna do some tinkering to my own limited custom.
  23. I wear XL sized gloves and absolutely love the Lok palmswell bogies. I have some CZC thin aluminums and didn't like them as they were a little too slick and much too thin. If you like the way the stock rubber SP01/shadow grips fit, but want more grip, the Lok are the obvious choice. I think the bogies are their grippiest texture. I prefer to go grippiest, as you can always sand/file down G10 if it's too much for you. I did have to file down a spot that dug into my palm, but that was probably my fault for not gripping hard enough. I've tried some Henning aluminums on a friend's shadow 2 and they feel pretty good and have nice checkering. Wouldn't want to shoot em when it's cold outside though.
  24. These look similar to the pockets used on PT Evo grips. If that's the case they should be pretty grippy. Although, since they're thin and flat they won't be replacing my Lok palmswell bogies.
  25. Interesting. I didn't opt to get the thumb rest on my SJC, and it's been on for a year now without any loosening at all. If the Toni was available when I bought mine I might have considered it for the thumb rest.
