  1. MemphisMech, you'd probably understand this more than the average PCC'er.... I picked the MPX because it was off the shelf ready for a LEFTY to shoot PCC. I did some very minor modifications, Odin works mag buttons, buffer tube conversion and Magpul K2 grip. The trigger isn't required but I switched it out anyway.... I have a SBR AR9 colt mag PCC and would rather use my MPX Comp.
  2. All my issues with the MPX Competition have been self induced. The gun from my experience gets finicky when you put triggers in it that it doesn't like. The only 2 that have been problem free are the factory Timney Trigger that was in the Competition model, or the Hiperfire Eclipse. I did have to make some changes to my ammo to get the gun to stay reliable. Such as, switched from coated bullets to plated bullets. Switched from Titegroup to HP38 which was recommended by Rob from ILWT. I still think it's kinda dirty but not nearly as bad as TG. I ran into extraction issues after about 15000 thru it, but it was because I had never cleaned behind the extractor... I also replaced the factory recoil springs with new factory weight recoil springs. Overall, the MPX is an amazing PCC. It just needs substantially more maintenance. But I feel it's worth it. Also, I'll be honest.... The only reason I won A8 PCC is because I used the MPX
  3. I’d do 2 30s with +11 extensions and 2 30s that have the magazine plug cut back so it fits 34. And 1 20 with a cut plug so it does like 24. On classifiers Id prefer to reload with a 30 with mag extension on it. Grab it where the base pad meets the mag. Slash it into the gun. On small tight stages I’d use the 20 stick so you’re less likely bump the mag on walls/ports/stuff
  4. I had an ELF PCC trigger in my MPX at one point. It gave me issues so it didn’t last long. At the time, I had connections to at least try it for free. I’d agree with Nolan that the reset is too long. The 1 trigger I’ve tried without any issues is the Hiperfire Eclipse. I think I’ve had 6 trigger in mine.
  5. I shoot 115s at 1200fps. 147s cycle the system too slow. I’m also using a MPX
  6. I bought the Iron city Ti for my sbr pcc. Seems to work. Idk how long it’ll last as I never use it
  7. I just spent a lot of $$$ on a BNIB Gen3 MPX Competition with magpul SLK stock. Got it off GB. But a backup isnt a terrible idea and I shoot to a level to where I feel it’s needed. Oh well
  8. That being said, I also took my offset red dot off as my MPX is a heavy bastard and I never used the offset dot either LOL
  9. I also have the CT206 laser. It's sighted in for 5 yards. I literally never use it as I find using a laser to be slower/distracting. I also don't practice with it either... I have the opposite problem where anything that's a right lean is difficult for me as I'm a southpaw. So I run into this issue a lot. I'd rather have an offset red dot so when your holding your gun at a 45 degreeish angle around a wall, you can aim straight at it. Otherwise as you know, the offset of your primary red dot would be sending bullets either into a wall or a no shoot...
  10. The Hero8 Black has amazing stabilization software which is why I got it. You can see it gets wonky sometimes too.. Sometimes you can see my hat visor in the lower part of video. Or at the end of stages, specifically stage 8 of A8 at the end where the camera looks left at the end of the stage. I faced that direction but the video makes it look more dramatic than it is
  11. Thanks! I mounted a GoPro Hero 8 Black to the visor of a hat. Essentially I cut a hole in the visor and have it zip tied on.
  12. Leupold DPP. The gun also has a Hiperfire eclipse, buffer tube conversion with hogue overmold, and a bottomfeeder magwell which I apparently couldn’t find on one stage. Otherwise it’s internally stock.
  13. I'm proud of my performance, and this is as close to social media as I do..... I felt like sharing.
  14. I just put a new extractor spring and insert I got from ILWT. I put the original donut back in as my ILWT kit didn’t come with donuts. I ran 450rds thru it after spring replacement and it ran mint. My factory Timney MPX competiton trigger worked flawless and had the least amount of deformation on it. My Timney DH3 has almost as much as the ECL now. But the DH3 stopped running.
  15. Does this upper setup have a guaranteed that you'll do GM classifications? If not, not interested...
  16. Does anyone have this issue? I’ve had 5 triggers in my Sig MPX Competition, and they all have done this. I hit up a local friend who has the same exact trigger setup and his hammer does not have nearly as much deformation as mine. I have maybe about 1500 rounds with this hammer. It’s a Hiperfire Eclipse. I must add, I have not had any trigger assembly related issues so far with this setup (I think). I still have had the random failure to feed issue. This past weekend at my first match of the season, I had 2 failures to eject.
  17. Which is a big reason I went MPX.
  18. I have a MPX competition and my brother has a GMR13. Shot them both back to back and it’s a tough call on which is “better”. It may be a factor of what’s available as there was a very recent post about not being able to source a Sig MPX competition. Not sure about GMRs I love the MPX. They can be finicky at times as they’re a maintenance nightmare. Rob from ILWT suggested if I want it to run 100%, clean it every 1000 rounds. The gas system is a PITA but it is what it is. I’m currently building a Maxamundi replica PCC as a backup. I’m sure the differences will be inconclusive at my shooting ability. All of that said, I 100% agree with chillywig’s statement
  19. But $350 for a ~4.5lb 2 stage trigger... The stock Timney in the MPX Competition would be a better option IMO. But if it works and you like it, that’s all that really matters
  20. For the barrel/comp pinned welded with matching smoke composites carbon fiber handguard, I believe it’s $500.
  21. I got one one of these coming once they’re coated. He is still taking orders and shipping within the next few weeks. Also, this upper setup makes you shoot as well as Maxamundi
  22. Quick update... I have removed the DH3 trigger as it has been rittled with problems shortly after posting about it. The hammer would reset, but won’t drop when pulling the trigger. I contacted Timney about it. They sent me some replacement springs which did not solve the problem. I returned it for a refund. I have since installed a Hiperfire Eclipse. Hopefully this works better.
  23. or call Glenn's cell.  713-823-1676.  I do know he is very difficult to get in touch with.... keep calling/emailing.  He makes quality product.  He posts a lot of facebook too

  24. I'm 100% positive Glenn from LSI makes right side mag button steel grips as mentioned above. Try emailing him...
