  1. I was looking at that exact thing this afternoon. I have a small piece of skate board tape on the frame, just forward of the pin, to place my finger while moving to avoid a DQ. It happened during a reload, and it sure makes sense. I don't know if I'm ready to get a file out?
  2. There is nothing missing, the tabs are present on both plungers. Have a Caspian with an integral plunger tube, so that is not loose. With new plungers installed on both sides, the safety is more crisp, and the SS takes more pressure to move the plunger out of the detent. Thanks for the input, hopefully this cures my ailments.
  3. Okay, it was NOT the fault of the Nitro Fin slide stop, and yes, you would normally have you thumb on the pad of the slide stop. Just my poor attempt at asking a question about the SS falling out. I obviously didn't have my thumb on the pad, I was in the middle of a reload when the wheels came off the cart. Good suggestion on the length of the plunger that contact the SS, just happen to have another one.
  4. I know this topic has been discussed before, but spent the last hour searching, guess I don't know the magic combination of words. Anyway, I had the slide stop fall out of my pistol yesterday, last stage, and the classifier to boot. I have looked the pistol over, didn't see any signs of obvious causes, this is a Nitro Fin ss, has been on the pistol for a couple of years, maybe 10K rounds. Help will be appreciated.
  5. Go to cedhk.com, the are in PA as above. CED is a distributor for DAA in the States. You should be ok in the shipping department.
  6. Thanks for the info, it was given to me, I already use a DAA holster. The fact that it doesn't have a lock is also bothersome, I was thinking that something would have to be used for retention. Safariland doesn't show anything on their site for this.
  7. Just came into possession of this holster, came someone tell me how old it is? Is it worth worrying about? Inside the hanger there is a #012, some paten info and Colt Gov 5-7. Thank you for the help.
  8. Thank you, when I got to reading that post, there I was with a CR holster comment.
  9. Anyone know of a mount for a cmore slideride that fits an XDM. Carver Custom is available, but don't know if it will/could fit a DAA RaceMaster
  10. I have Nitrofin, like um. But I saw that Atlas may have something similar.
  11. No, to me, the 10 MOA appears larger. The dot is also brighter, which help at the range. I have had the Slideride dot wash out in the sun, but have yet to have that happen on the RTS2-V5. I'm very happy.
  12. I have two, like them both. I wanted 8 MOA, is what I was using with a Slideride, and was very happy. Had to go with the 10 MOA, 8 was not available, but am very pleased with the 10. I was a little unhappy with the 10 at first, the dot will distort at high brightness indoors, but outdoors it is very crisp. Also find that he sunlight does not wash out the dot like the Slideride. So far, they have been very good on battery life, both new the beginning of this year, and still a strong dot.
  13. I do like KKM, and you're probably right about the ports.
  14. I have 2 Caspians. the guns are great for those of us with smaller hands. The quality is very good, and have had no issues with the company. Yes, mags can be an issue, MBX is supposed to be running some in the near future. Also see that Adrian is building another pistol, that may be a good sign. I have found that the large frame mags for EAA/Tangfo will work. Takes a little more than 2 mins to make function, but they do work, and I like that route better than welding 2 Caspian mags. Caspians are like anything else, you take care of them, they take care of you. Never had one fail in competition.
  15. I am looking at both, but Bar-Sto has ported barrels for sale, didn't see that on KKM. I have experience with KKM and really like them.
  16. I am contemplating installing a Bar-Sto barrel into a 9mm 4.5. I have two questions; 1. Anyone's experience between the Semi Fit and Match Target? 2. Suggestions between the 1, 2, and three port barrels? I'm shooting 147gr plated at minor power factor.
  17. I had something similar a few years ago. I determined that the bullets were contacting the mag catch as they moved upwards as the next round was stripped off. I had one mag that was out of spec, smacked it around with a hammer fixed it
  18. I agree with shred and jcc7X7, I have two Caspians, neither have let me down through the years.
  19. I'm a Nitro Fin user, hopefully some will get one and I can try it. I do like this style of thumb rest.
  20. +1 for tigal, I have these on my open and limited pistols. I like where my thumb rests better than the other style. No mod to the pistol, but will take some work to fit the pistol.
  21. If you need a TEVO mount, I have one, mounted, but never used.

      No problem, good luck

  22. Was out working on the wife's pistol, had to remove a little of the mag catch so the magazine would insert and eject properly. Well, got that fixed, but created a hole new problem! I removed the trigger to make installing and removing the mag catch easier, like a shot, the trigger spring and plunger disappeared. I knew it would happen. Anyway, found the plunger, but no spring? Ball point pen spring cut down works. Trigger pull on the wife's pistol is 3lbs 13 0z, mine is 4lbs 5oz. I will probably take my pistol apart and try stoning the sear.
  23. I've been looking at replacing the trigger parts on my 22/45, will be following your post closely. What about the TandemKross trigger? no sear tho? I reall enjoy the 22/45, more fun than I thought.
  24. I just received them yesterday, they appear okay? I need to drill and tap the mag release, ought to be a thrill, 4-40 screws to hold them on. Figured I'd give them a try, only ones I found available. Will try to get to it this weekend and give an update.
