  1. I'd love to know the weight of the stripped lower to compare against a NFA 9mm lower. It looks like it would be the lightest carbine possible when mated to a Taccom ULW upper. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  2. I moved mine to my 15-22 after getting the 24c. I was so much faster with the 24c and never looked back since. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. I shot my friend's new ULW upper today, and it definitely moves faster in transition on Steel Challenge stages. He also has the Taccom bolt and buffer in it and it runs well. The buffer/load needs to be tuned to smooth the bit of dot bounce, but overall I liked it a lot. Ordering one next week. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  4. 16" Wilson Arms barrel: 115gr coated RN 4gr Bullseye 1.145 I have shot over 10k of this load and it has been perfect for Steel Challenge and USPSA. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  5. I've been using a converted stroller for years, and I love it. Works well for having only $100 into it, including the cost of the used stroller. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  6. The Taccom barrel doesn't allow comps. It's roughly 5.5" and has a shroud to make legal length. Only 2 Timney triggers currently work in most PCCs, and that isn't one of them. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  7. The key for me on pendulum is shooting them 1, 2, 4, 5, S with short, smooth transitions where I get that quick hard look on plates two and five so I can ensure the hit after the elevation change. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  8. Sounds like a geometry issue. I'll bet your hammer is not hitting the firing pin straight on, and impacts at an angle. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  9. If you missed last month's Steel Challenge in Piru, you missed your chance at earning one of these which were passed out today to last month's winners! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  10. I've switched to a PMACA aluminum stock with carbon fiber handguard, and have never shot better. The stock is very light and, very rigid, and balances extremely well. The handguard let me move my grip all the way forward so I can precisely stop the barrel on every plate, no matter how fast I'm swinging. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  11. As you said, it is a book about mental conditioning that was written by an Olympic Shooting gold medalist (Lanny Basham), and you're wondering if is applicable to shooting sports? Of course, very much so. It's attributable to any sport actually, and life in general as well. Definitely a great help to get mentally prepared for winning. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  12. I use just enough quarters to keep my JP SCS29mm from preventing the upper from swinging open. I used to run more (six I think), but I always had to push out the takedown pins to open the upper. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  13. I've found the best method for me is to shoot it the way my coaches tell me. It has worked well for me so far! Lol Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  14. IPhone and most other current phones use a 4-pole 3.5mm socket for stereo audio plus mic which requires a 4-pole TRRS plug (L/R/G/M). Microphone sockets generally are monaural (2-pole) or stereo (3-pole) inputs which is why you needed an adapter to short the bottom ring to the sleeve. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  15. Mine gave up the ghost during a Steel Challenge match and locked up the buffer. Thankfully I got it figured out. JP sent me new O rings for free. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  16. It's this one from Praxair, but any should work. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  17. My GF's new 9mm carbine in battle worn pink cerakote. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  18. I shoot it 1,2,4,3 stop with RFRO and PCC. My index is plate 3 with feet angled outside 1 and 4 so I can swing smoothly all the way to 4. I also squat a bit to give me more range of motion with the rifle. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  19. I have had one problem with my 24c while working on splits, and the symptom was similar to yours. I was able to replicate the problem by pulling non-aimed double taps as fast as my finger would allow, and it was then I discovered I could sometimes beat the reset with a trigger pull under certain conditions, causing the hammer to follow the bolt home (non-fire, non-reset). It only happened twice that one day in practice and never since. Try and see if you can beat the reset. If you can, try cleaning everything including your buffer and tube, then try again. 20. He speaks the truth! Have 3 now and about to start piecing together a 4th in 10mm. Getting bit by the PCC bug is a lot like getting bit by the 1911 bug, except the treatments are less expensive! Lol Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  21. I can ream it for you. I had some carbide throaters made that do an awesome job on everything. Cuts melonite like a hot knife through butter! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  22. I'll have to check the can. A buddy gave it to me so I don't remember the brand. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  23. I would be hard pressed to shoot faster than I can with a 24c. My best splits are .10 and .11 with it, so unless I was hip firing with a straight finger I don't think I could shoot faster splits intentionally. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  24. I'm now using an anti-splatter welding spray on my comps and it helps immensely with my Miculek style comps. Start out with a clean comp (this is important) then spray on and shoot. Lead comes off easy with just a fingernail if I keep it sprayed. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  25. I dumped the POF 3.5 flat trigger in favor of the Hiperfire 24c. Nothing wrong with the POF other than I didn't like the flat trigger, and I found the 24c was much faster overall. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
