Looks for Match

Looks for Match (2/11)

  1. My pcc defiantly has a more pronounced recoil impulse. The one thing with mine is the return to center. When firing it seems to recover quickly and to be honest when shooting I don’t notice the recoil impulse in consecutive shots.
  2. I have had good luck with the c-more railway. Seems to be the right height for me. Batteries are kinda different to load and seems like I go through them regularly. I have had no point of impact change with it and have had it for some time now.
  3. I bought the x5 legion because I have other sigs in the 320 line. Already have been tinkering with different things about it. I figure when it boils down to it any thing you get you will end up adding more expense to.
  4. Rich406, That is good to know. Thank you. There is some controversy about the sigs but I’ve never had a problem with them. Looking to add a USPSA set up this year. I’ve got several mags for the 320’s I already shoot and figured adding base plates would be advantageous over starting over. Thanks again.
  5. I use those ch plates also. They lock-in the optic well. There are no gaps between the optic and slide. Good stuff in my opinion.
  6. I have read through a lot concerning these magazines. Most of the manufacturers say 141.25 extensions. That is worrisome because it is an exact measurement. Are the gray guns the only ones that fit without sanding ect?
  7. Seems to me that when I shoot alone if I’m not working on something in particular I get lost in regards to goals. When I shoot with others I’m more accountable. This is in regards to pistols. Rifle is a different animal.
  8. I have noticed the chpws has one with a Glock dovetail. They also have a steel one for the cp-10. I don’t see any reason you couldn’t grind off and refinish the notch for the cp-10 one to match the cut out for the shadow 2.
  9. Everyone has their own approach to defensive shooting. I’m older and dont see great anymore for aiming it is very helpful for me to use an optic. During normal draw and presentation I have to really focus to pick up on irons except at night when the tritium shines well. That being said my pocket carry is a small get off of me type approach with no optic or really usable site. I consider it a close up defense. As far as aiming goes I have a friend that went to an active shooter course in which they cleared their homes and had everyday life scenarios. They used training Glocks that shot actual projectiles. He is a proficient shooter with irons on his carry Glock. He said that under stress he completely missed two opponents at 7 yards with small movements by the opponent. Not saying anything about his proficiency just saying that under stress I don’t know if it matters which sighting system is used.
  10. Heck. I’ll be 52 in a few months. I’m not as nimble as I used to be and I wear glasses. I’m looking to become more proficient at shooting a hand gun in general. Didn’t mean to dig an old thread up but I hope there is time to improve after fifty.
  11. I don’t know much about these. I watched a couple of you tube videos on these a little while back. I handled on of those 226 x-fives in my local store and really liked the feel of it. Draw back is single action only and greater than 2000 for just the pistol. Is the stock 2 supported well?
  12. I’m just wanting to pick a platform to improve on and the gun not be a limiting factor. Like with service rifles I shoot against myself mostly. It’s fun to shoot competitions for the sport of it and the completion but when it boils down to it I’m shooting against myself more than anything. When I was referencing the lo vs co my meaning is that if I can shoot a pistol in carry optics then it can be used in limited optics also.
  13. After a little more reading last night I see the part about a production list with carry optics vs limited optics. Either way I’m just wanting to pick something to shoot and spend more time with. Heck I’ve seen people do amazing things with a certain pistol I struggle to just make consistent hits with. Again thanks for all the advice. Looks like a shadow would be about 16-1700 for pistol and optic, sig max around 16 and others up and down from there. I completely like the fact that cz is very accurate where the sig is hit or miss. Decisions -descisions. Thanks again everyone.
  14. Thanks for all the replies. I was thinking the difference between carry optics and limited optics was the addition of a magwell and single action use. Im sure I’m missing something. But anyway I appreciate the conversation and opinions.
