I have the Steiner and the PST moa 1-6. The Steiner is likely the best piece of gear I have ever purchased from a price/performance perspective. I paid 459 for mine. IMO, it just can not be beat in that price range. It slaughtered the 1-6 Strike Eagle it replaced. It really feels like a mini Razor to me. It's killer. I love it. My newest scope is the PST. I love this scope, too. I wish the reticle was the JM-1 or more like the Steiner, which I feel is perfect for me. But it performs very well with clear glass and daylight illumination. No regrets on this purchase. It's awesome, too, for the money. Hard to go wrong with either. Haven't owned the burris, but I hate hate hate circle dots/ donuts/ busy reticles. But their ballistic dot reticle looks useable.

I leaded a 10/22 practically completely closed in less than 50 rounds. Started noticing keyholing, and when I examined bore I couldn't get just a thin rod through it! Took a lot to get it out, and it came out in big chunks. I'd be most worried about it in the tube and gas port area. Wouldn't surprise me if a bunch if you could shoot it out with 5.56. But I would have a look at the bore first. Do a search on thunderbolts and it will be an eye opener!

If it was thunderbolts, I can just about promise you that it is a severe leading problem. In tube or gas port or barrel or all of the above. By far the worst .22 ammo known to man! Seriously: it's terrible.

I shoot PCC with stock on pec right under eye, and more extended than I used to. This required me to go to a higher riser. The movement and impulse of pcc is so much clunkier than a tuned 556 that it really made me appreciate technique more. I am considering going to higher mounts on my rifles as well. I guess I can remove the leather shoulder patches on my tweed jacket when I join Elmer at the shotgun club!

This POST stage/match planning and redoing mentally is very smart. I'm going to try to do this a bit more. Thanks for the tip.

I use the B5 grip on all my AR's. It's more vertical, fatter at the front strap, and has a beavertail so that my hand doesn't crowd up on the trigger.

Yeah give us a report, and good luck in your match. I am having good luck with my Affinity. Glad I bought it! Had some problems at first, but on advice from a good shotgun guy, I did a good polishing of internals and it runs smooth and reliably with anything I have tried.

So, you tapped the forearm itself and just screwed right into it? Then trimmed where it came through? Need to add one to me affinity.

Tact riser as Homie mentioned. Was high enough for me. i like the Delrin idea too, if you want it a bit higher.

I have a 12 round tube on a 26" for the reasons Tony the Tiger pointed out.

Oh man, this this this!! I have found moving buttstock in towards pec muscle, right under dominant eye, has been huge in my PCC recoil control. And, gripping very firm with support hand. In order to do this, I had to go with a higher mount on my Cmore. Now head is straight up and gun comes straight back, and doubles are right on top of eachother. Still got a lot to learn with PCC, but I like this a lot. I also think it is improving my rifle shooting and I am considering replacing all my mounts with higher mounts.

IME, it is plenty bright in any conditions. Including hot bright NC summer sun. Haven't been out to the desert with it, but I would think it would be fine there, too. Seems to be about same as my Steiner.

Make sure it was not the safety lever detent located within the frame at the right side. It’s captures the right hand safety lever, which could walk out without it.

Isn't the gun to be loaded to 8+1 to start no matter how long your tube is? Everything I have shot only allowed 9 in gun to start. So, no matter what you are going to have to load how ever many rounds you shoot (over 9) on the clock.

I have used the CZC and Shadow 2 wide safety. I wish both were 3/16" or more higher.
