  1. Great info. Thanks guys
  2. Took the new 18.9 for a test drive last weekend and here are a few brief observations after about 300 rounds. The gun shoots quite well although with the factory recoil spring the slide feels sluggish, need to play with springs. I'm thinking 10# recoil coupled with a 17# main, what does everyone else prefer? My 124gr 130pf reloads ran like a top, the 147 FP's were another story. The pistol absolutely will not run that profile regardless of OAL, lesson learned. Hopefully this will help someone else out.
  3. The 124gr TC has a much less forgiving profile in terms of OAL vs. RN 124gr, make sure they pass in your chamber. I did not notice any difference in accuracy between the two styles.

    New accushadow

85C trigger + their comp trigger job and thin Safeties. I would also order spare recoil springs, slide stops, extractors, fiber optic pipe and about 5 trigger return springs.
  5. If you are undecided on bullet weight preference, sample packs are helpful. In reference to coated bullets causing cleaning problems, I shoot a CZ (absolutely zero residue from coated bullets) so I don't have personal experience with the Polygonal rifling. But, my shooting buddy runs a G34 with coated and loves them.
  6. I didn't find it hard to use at all. I have no problems switching between 1911 and cz safeties. I second that. Safety wise, TS and 1911 platform feel quite similar to me.
  7. IMR 7625 8LB Keg in stock at Natchez!
  8. What did you find better about the CZ Tac Sport compared to the G35? Weight, the TS completely tames major PF .40. AND the trigger! Absolutely the best factory trigger I have ever felt on any platform

    Grip Tape on Shadow?

BockerSV- Did you use an exacto blade to get your tape so precise on your grips? My griptape job looks like complete @#$! in comparison.
  10. Polymer guide rod is the first option that comes to mind as others have mentioned. If you wanted to try and get crafty, you could add some lightening cuts to the inside of your thick grips in areas that don't contact the frame (so as to not screw with fitment). Just an idea
  11. 3rd Generation has 211 LBS of Titegroup in stock, 18.69 per LB plus Haz.
  12. I like 4.5 grains Bullseye seated a few thousands above the shoulder of the SWC. Super accurate
  13. I had a Kimber eclipse Target converted to 460 rowland w/ comp and 24# recoil spring. Super fun, brass just became impossible to find so I sold it. If you go that route, I had a great experience with Clark Custom.

    Grip Tape on Shadow?

The factory checkering is very poor. I used a heat gun and skateboard tape on the front strap and back strap. Looks ugly, but very functional.
  15. Fitted the safeties this weekend, only took about an hour and that was because I was really taking my time. I used a hobby file and then some 1000 grit to smooth/ polish the filing marks. I guess I got lucky because I only had to fit the D leg to the RHS of the safety, the Sear engagement pad fit well on it's own. I shot a match over the weekend and absolutely love the new feel to the gun. I encourage anyone who is considering the thin safeties to go for it. By the way, CZ-USA has them in stock right now. 3rd photo is the accushadow next to a para pro custom 18.9 that I picked up from my FFL on Friday. Bought it for 3-gun next season, we will see how she runs...
  16. Can't tell you how much I appreciate the responses. I will post pics when I finish!
  17. +1,000 for the Dillon 650 with Casefeeder, I can't stress how much I love this press. I was running a Hornady LNL Progressive before the Dillon and it was non-stop problems, even went back to the factory twice.
  18. Thanks for the response trgt. Were you using 1000 grit? How do you recommend clamping the RHS to ensure that it is level while fitting?
  19. I have read through just about every post on Benos and the CZfirearms forums in regards to fitting the Thin safeties to an SP-01 Shadow. I have a pretty good idea on the fitting process, but I am unclear on what tools to use. The consensus seems to be a small file set (Hobby files) and/ or fine grit sandpaper. What grit do you all recommend? I would greatly appreciate any advice as I don't want to mess this up!

    SP-01 & Ammo

My CZC accushadow will also feed rounds that don't pass my case gauge (used for practice ammo only). 147gr Blue Bullet FP @ 1.135OAL.
  21. I had a similar problem @ station one but this was on a 650. I was using a Redding Carbide die. I bought a Hornady Resize/Decapping die and it completely solved my problems.
  22. Does anybody have experience tumbling pistol rounds (loaded with coated bullets) in corn media post reloading? I'm worried the coating will be damaged... I would like to try this as it's very time consuming cleaning the One Shot off by hand after a 2 hr session on my 650
  23. I found the 124TCG bayou bullet to be far less forgiving in regards to OAL vs. the 124 RN. Really like the clean holes they leave in paper though.
