  1. I run a 17# main & 10 recoil, both ISMI.
  2. If its a gas block leak, they usually go away after some rounds. The carbon will seal it up. If yours continues to streak and not seal, you may have to swap gas blocks. Try changing one thing at a time, so you aren't chasing fixes. All of the suggestions are good, hopefully only one thing is wrong and not all of them! For photos, host them to photobucket or similar, then put the img link in the post. Magically the photo will be there when you post it.
  3. Are they pulling the mag out of the gun by hand then transferring it to the dump pouch? Besides being slow & non-competitive, it is not SS legal.
  4. What model holster? Are you happy with it? It fits well enough to be secure? The OWB. Runs $64.95 on their website. Has tension screws to dial in how tight it holds the gun.
  5. I'm using a Blade Tech belt holster with a Teklok for the STI Edge for my Pro Match.
  6. He's in Cleveland, so I'd guess Fin Feather & Fur.
  7. Looks nice for $1200. I'd take a chance for that price.
  8. I realize the follower is different but the tube is a 10mm tube with no spacer. If you swapped back to the original follower you'd have a regular 10mm mag. 40 mags have a spacer. 10mm do not. Follower has nothing to do with it. The special follower allows the mag to hold 10 instead of 9 of 40 or 10mm.
  9. What buffer system? When ran too heavy of buffer with my Voodoo bcg & adjustable gas I got fte & feed.
  10. If it was built by a competent smith with no surprises, it's a great deal.
  11. If you want to use ammo longer than 1.5", you'll need 10mm mags. 40 mags have a spacer preventing long loaded ammo. I'm running 10mm Checkmates in my Pro Comp.
  12. Yes. I ordered some new STI mags & they work fine. I switched to Grams guts & Dawson bases & get 20. I modded the followers to not lock the slide back.
  13. Stock STI & old style SV work in mine with no mods. Add the guts & pads of your choice to get desired capacity. Easy peasy. I wasted a lot of time on mags when it was really that simple.
  14. With my BladeTech, if I tighten the tension screw, it squeezes down tightly on the slide/frame and holds in the gun. I don't think a regular Para holster would work because of the long dust cover I have an older DOH for a Gov't Model that I used for a Para LDA P18, and it definitely won't hold my RIA Pro Match.
  15. Used guns are usually the better value. Guns depreciate the minute you walk out of the gunshop. I've never owned a DW, but have never heard a bad word about them.
  16. I have the DOH for an Edge, & it fits my Pro Match. It's what I'm using for it. I think the Blade Tech option mentioned are for the guns with rails instead of the heavy dustcover.
  17. If you buy MG by the case, the prices are very close to Xtreme at 500 at a time. And there is no doubt MG is a very good bullet.
  18. My Pro Comp loves Checkmates also. I just switched to the 10mm mags though so I could run longer ammo. Want to know what all the fuss about Clays in the 40 is. Can't beat the price on them, & they make the followers Tripp uses anyhow.
  19. I have the XTR II and Aero Precision SPR. Gives the most forward eye relief, and you can always move the scope back in the mount and/or the mount back on the rail to get less eye relief. Seems the most versatile.
  20. I think its an older gun. Austin was their old location before they moved to Georgetown. The trigger is an SV. The basepad is the old Dawson before Grams "suggested" they change the attachment method. I've never seen a long dust cover Eagle before. Could it be a parts gun? No idea on the mags, though I'd guess STI due to the ribs on one side.
  21. Dawson sells the Guncrafter mag catch. You can get it threaded with a button, or plain serrated.
  22. Is there still ammo in them? If the top round moves forward the bullet nose can drag on the inside of the frame. Or the split follower can jump over the slide stop lug preventing the mag from ejecting. Or the feed lips can spread, dragging on the sides of the frame.
  23. Nosler makes a 135gr. JHP, won't be cheap.
