  1. I did the same thing. Had a new dot on order before my open gun arrived. Romeo 1 was going to be my next dot after I tested the 2.5DPP bit now I want to test the holosun 510 also. It’s huge like a slideride but at least the window is bigger, not just the body. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  2. Haven’t used one on an open gun but have one on a 40 cal duty weapon. It has held up great to daily carry and full power 40 rounds in slide mount. The dot is very bright in comparison to all the others I’ve compared it to. (RTS2, DPP, RMR, both vortex’s) There is a GM in Midwest using one his open guns. Last I heard he was over 10k on it and happy with it. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. Looks or not I’ll give it a shot to try a larger window... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  4. Unfortunately that ones not mine. That is photo I was sent when I asked the mount manufacturer if it would work on an Atlas. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  5. Single sided mount Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  6. I should have specified the DPP and romeo1 I’ve compared were the 7.5 moa triangle DPP and the 6moa romeo1. I know the 6moa Romeo is brighter than the 3 and was told today that the 2.5moa DPP is much brighter than the 7.5 moa version. I’ve got a 2.5moa DPP coming on my Atlas Chaos in a couple weeks so am hoping it is bright enough. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  7. Have you been able to compare brightness to the DPP or the 6MOA Romeo sight? I’m using both those now. Romeo is the brightest I have found so far. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  8. It’s all preference but I added a steel MSH and a heavy magwell and completely changed the balance of my plastic grip 2011 Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  9. If you are asking if your 140’s can be over the 140 limit in open then the answer is yes. Only your 170’s would need to pass guage for open division Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  10. Thank you. Curiosity will still get the best of me and I’ll try it anyway Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  11. In consistency is that powder as fine as silhouette? Hard to tell the grain make up in the photo. Loading on a 1050 if you get a crushed primer or such silhouette will drain the entire case into your shell plate. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  12. Motor oil and transmission fluid mixed is put out in some armorer courses. So I doubt it would hurt anything. I just use motor oil Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  13. I used coated bullets all last year. I found 125 to be more accurate than 115 but both are quite abit off the accuracy of a jhp. My guess is that pushing them with the speed required for a 115 is a little much for the coated. I used silhouette and it ran great but my press hated it. The powder is so fine it gets in everything So I’m using HS6 now. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  14. Very balanced compared to other open guns I’ve used. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  15. Just to add in for the 9mm shooters... I tried 3n38 on my old open gun (not atlas) and even compressed loads couldn’t get major. Given that was a 115gr but enough that I wasn’t going to waste my time further with it. Others may have different results. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  16. Also looking forward to it. My atlas is due in December and I have only been using HS6 also. You running 9mm or 38? Mine will be 9 Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  17. I called about same and was told they would check into it and call back. Nothing. So I’m guessing they can’t take on the extra work currently. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  18. No, Everglades is 2011 only as far as I know. I recently started using one and like it a lot so far. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  19. Shoot it with the dot off. See what split times are. Will let you know if you are visually slowing it down or if you physically cannot work the trigger fast enough. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  20. What load and gun are you using where dot leaves the window? Tighter grip may help but not if it takes conscious effort to maintain that grip. The dot isn’t close to leaving window on any of my open guns. Heck it doesn’t leave the window on my 40 cal p320 with slide ride optic and duty ammo. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  21. New one is rounded. Prevents mag from being able to get stuck at an angle. It basically turns the mag straight even when inserted crooked. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  22. Guga Ribas is also fully adjustable for nearly any setup and works very well with open guns. Holsters are largely preference though so comes down to trying them. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  23. I cut the spring until contact is with the buff rather than the stacked spring stopping travel. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  24. This is best I have found showing profile Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
