  1. Mine was fast also. Making Pf lower than most other charges posted on here. Adding 3 popples only reduced my FPS by 40. In my book total improvement. Yes more violent in hand in my opinion but what I would describe as snappier. Less height in dot travel. I still ended up going away from 125’s to 115’s but I think the popple holes were at least that same amount of difference if not more. In terms of shooting it has basically taken a 10-12yd 8” steel plate from being, shot, watch dot return, shot - to now being 2 shots as fast as I can pull trigger so long as grip and the rest of it is there. Smashing Splits on A’s inside of 10 requires little thought at all now compared to before popples it would often become A,C if I pushed the speed much. All my experience is on Tanfo gums but don’t see how it wouldn’t be similar for any of them. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I use magnum federal. Not sure it would matter unless you are running super light main spring Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. Not always the case though. When mine was striking comp it would still group extremely well. I guessing it just depends on how much strike you are getting. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  4. I have this issue currently with a custom build tanfoglio open gun. Was getting rub marks on the comp so it was clear the comp wasn’t threaded directly straight or had not been alignment reamed. After the alignment ream it lessened the issue by a large margin. I have 2 guns set up the same so it was pretty easy to confirm the issue in my case as I can swap parts and see what works and what doesn’t. I wanted to believe I was doing something wrong and it was not the gun but after a lot of frustration it turned out that way. Even after getting it reamed it still has some shift so it is fine for most Uspsa distances but I don’t use it in matches that I know will have 40+ yard shots or I have to hold completely off the target to get hits. I’m going to pull the comp next and see if it is the barrel or comp that is threaded incorrectly. Hopefully it’s the comp so I can just get another on there and be good. 5. Yes to all. Be prepared to do some work to get everything up and running to your preference but once set up they are pretty easy systems to run. I made the same transition. You won’t be better because of the gun though. When you have a gun that is more fun to train with you will find yourself training more. That is where the rapid improvement comes from. 6. My Unica just dropped in my stock 2 but I had to file the tabs on other safety’s slightly to get them to work. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  7. Will the tanfo comp come at same time or design change required for that? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  8. That sounds like a fun experiment. Will have to set “can you count” up and try it. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  9. I’m shooting 115 blue Bullets. Still on first case. Just switched from 125’s. 8.6 HS6 is 170 in my gun at 1.160 That’s in a Tanfo limited converted to open Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  10. I’m a recent convert from production. 3 months on open gun. Just made M and still adjusting to the dot. Honestly can’t say I even look for a dot on the target type you describe. I shoot them off same index I used with production gun. Maybe it’s there but not anything I’m recognizing. First real hoser match is coming up next week. Maybe my opinion will change after that. 11. By that math around 6500 in a 5 gallon bucket. I weighed one the other day at 65lbs Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  12. I have a 9” AR for PCC and have to wonder if it isn’t harsher recoiling than a longer barrel. But may be able to tune that with buffer changes and such. Currently using the early JP 9mm system from before they had the other spring options. I haven’t kept up on what is the current system to go with. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  13. Just over 3 grains titegroup with the 180’s should be a 40 minor load for the 35. May have been 3.2 (I used around a 10lb recoil spring with it). 4.2 should be close to major in same. You would want to chrono. Been a few years since I shot that in my 35 Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  14. Aandabooks just poppled my second gun. I was on the fence as well and had it done to my backup gun first. Huge improvement. He just did the second one now. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  15. I’ve got a 40 stock 2 if you are interested in swapping for a 9 Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  16. Titegroup Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  17. More interested in performance than how it looks here. Using a 4 port comp on one of my guns now. Just added popples to the tanfo 3 port comp on the other gun to see if it will bring the less effective comp closer to the 4 port gun. Have you tried that comp on a gun with holes? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  18. Following I couldn’t find an option that I liked as much as the ipsc alex mount for the RTs2 so I ended up going with that and a Romeo 3 for the backup gun with same mount. Someone should make one for the DP though. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  19. I tried the DAA alpha x, never got it working correct for my gun. Using the Guga Ribas now and like it much better. Not near as restrictive release. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  20. Curious on what exactly you are hitting the trigger on? There is a 45 minute video from GR that goes over full setup of the holster and almost every direction and fitment area is adjustable. I set mine up once and it functions fine with all 6 of my Tanfo’s. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  21. No. Not that I am aware of. Bought both used though. So can’t say for sure unless there is some way to check. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  22. Hopefully I don’t give myself bad luck here, but I have used an MBX 170mm in my open Tanfo at 5 or 6 matches and several practice sessions and they run in both of my canyon creek open conversions. I’m currently shooting 125 TC bullets at 1.165 Probably 2-3k fired through them. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  23. No idea. Just saying it is a highly effective comp on a similar type gun so it should work well. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  24. That computer image looks somewhat like Canyon Creek’s titanium Tanfo comps. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  25. Everyone can have their own preference. I used the DAA holsters on several other types of guns and they were great. On the tanfoglio they required a perfect draw angle which for me was not realistic to the goals I have for the sport. So if you can live with the limitations they provide in this area then great. But there are other options without such limitations on the draw. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
