I have used one of these little clip holsters daily since I got my first 365 and it has worked well. The gun disappears and is versatile enough to wear it in several positions. I think you probably did better getting the one with real sites anyway. A couple guys on my dept tried putting those FT bullseye type sites on full size guns and couldn’t even pass a qual. They work up close but are difficult to use much past 10yds or so. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
What powder/bullet combos have you found to run reliably long term without major gun breaking? (cracked slide, frame, comps, etc) What kind of round count? I’m curious if some bullet and powder combinations are better or if pressure is similar. Or if someone knows of pressure tests that have been done, but I haven’t been able to locate that. On their build site they mark the RTS2 option the same as the Razor and Romeo 3. So if you are saying the Romeo 3 is longer in the front than the Romeo XL then I should be good. I don’t have an old Romeo 3 to compare to the XL. But if push comes to shove I have a mill so it can be relieved as necessary. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I’m using a romeoXL atlas mount currently. I had to file off the indexing nubs on it to make it work. Not blaming atlas as it could be the romeoXL that was out of spec but regardless that was the only way to make it work. It has run for several thousand rounds with no issues. Yes correct. I was assuming open division. If it’s limited or some other Game you are shooting ignore my post. Just expected limited or other shooters would only be buying 140’s Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Definitely need a 170mm. Preference only if you use shorter mags for reloads or just reload to another 170. For me the 155 feels like a 140 for reloading but holds almost as much as a 170mm. But even so I general find myself running two 170’s and two 140’s for most matches. Could get by with less most of the time for locals. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
No, mine is a full size since 40 is mandatory but several guys on a team I’m on have the X5 in same setup. When I bought my holster I bought the extra pack of inserts which is what I believe they did also. I’ll have to check with one of them and confirm. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I use a thumbrest in any division allowed. Repeatable index point for the hand. And it’s just more comfortable to me, especially on an open gun. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
If it isn’t going to be a carry gun the silica carbide treatment works great for competition guns and is pretty easy to do. I use a 12lb spring in mine also. These things shoot pretty flat if setup right. I’m an open shooter and rarely mess with mine but it is a pretty easy transition. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Yes. So far the larger dot hasn’t hurt anything. Optic glass size is slightly less forgiving than the huge Holosun for strong and weak hand only shooting but more dryfire can fix that. since I shoot 9mm major I was getting impact marks on back of Holosun body from ejecting brass. Probably not a malfunction even every thousand rounds, but the smaller size of the XL eliminated that potential issue also of brass hitting optic and getting back into slide. I compared a romeoXL to an SRO. Dots are new identical to my eye. Glass was much better on the XL. XL has been great for the 2k or so rounds I have on mine so far. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
