  1. Another positive, I live in a state in which pistol permits are kind of a pain in the ass to obtain, and a pistol permit is required to even handle a handgun, PCC would allow those who don't feel like jumping through the hoops, or are in the process of getting their permit, or are too young to obtain a permit to still get a taste of USPSA. Oh yeah, and it would be stupid amounts of fun.
  2. I have an M&P pro sitting around that I've been thinking of using for CO. I've been trying to find a pro core slide to buy instead of milling the one I have.
  3. I was expecting a "go pound sand" reply, and never got it.
  4. Sets goal to become GM: given props for that. Becomes GM:gets shit on. Interesting.
  5. i bet a cz phantom would be a pretty good gamer option. About 30oz.
  6. Off of memory: First aid kit Mag brush Poncho or packable rain coat Garbage bag for ghetto range bag waterproofing Snacks/water Spare common parts Tools to install them Hammer Sunscreen Rule book A bag to put brass in Gun Mags And eye/ear pro. I think that's about it.
  7. It feels nice to be happy about the result of an election for a change.
  8. I suppose using something they should have on them already as a measuring device kind of makes sense. Not sure if the difference for open/lim/lim10/revo really matters.
  9. Yes, tell him to live elsewhere lol. I am far from there in upstate and even the tyranny we live under pales in comparison.
  10. http://newyorkcityguns.com/getting-a-nyc-handgun-permit/ http://newyorkcityguns.com/getting-a-nyc-rifleshotgun-permit/ May help.
  11. Yeah, sadly pretty much SOL. A few very wealthy powerful people have concealed carry permits granted to them by the nypd commissioner but regular folks are pretty much screwed when it comes to owning handguns. But there are ways of obtaining a permit to be able to purchase rifles and shotguns. NYC is a drain on the rest of the state.
  12. Rules are different within the 5 boroughs of NYC than the rest of New York State. He is incredibly unlikely to be able to own a handgun living within the 5 boroughs. My New York State pistol permit... Which I waited a year for and shelled out $120 for is not even valid there.
  13. I'm not really certain on the weight. My powder scale won't go that high and my human scale doesn't go that low, lol.
  14. The day in which people will rip eachother to pieces over a sale on new crap they want to buy exactly one day after they celebrated being thankful for the shit they already have.
  15. Sure, but does the people that make the decisions read this? I think they may be doing us a disservice if not. This forum is a huge resource for shooters of the sport they lead. Would make sense to me that they have a presence here as well.
  16. Perhaps that could be in correlation to what the OP was asking. What reason would he go to the uspsa website when this forum has a great volume of active members that may have interesting points to make?
  17. More fitting involved in some of the replacement parts, though.
  18. I'm sure there is, I don't have any load data, but I believe the USAMU uses .38 super in their 3-gun 2011's due to them stacking a little better in a 2011 magazine and feeding into a 2011 a little more reliably. I'm sure those are lightly loaded rounds.
  19. That being said, I'm buying a set of SSI scales after my next bullet order.
  20. The lemon graters are for sure aggressive, but I just feel like they're plagued with the same thing many other CZ grips are, they're basically flat on the sides. The vz's and the scales just seem to fit the hand better. I think a grip the same profile as the scales, with the same grip as a lemon grater or the more aggressive vz grips, would be the best grip available.
  21. I tried really really hard to get a buddy of mine to bring out his Barrett M107 and shoot a rifle side match before he sold it. Never did take me up on it.
  22. A normal .40 magazine would work fine. And no capacity advantage.
  23. Probably pretty infrequent that it doesn't chamber but I suppose it's cheap insurance. Just like cleaning mags between a stages etc.
  24. I bought mine used, had previously had slide lightening cuts done, infinity trigger, Koenig hammer, grip stipple/undercut and a magwell put on it.
