  1. https://www.freedomventures.ca/products/parts-tanfoglio?page=1 This company is now selling
  2. I don't know the degree, but "about perfect" is how I describe it!
  3. I thought the titan didn't change reset... at least I didn't notice it being different. Yes? No?
  4. Ran 100 rounds with 85 of them in DA. No issues, all primer strikes were uniformly deep. Trigger is stiffer with the wolfe 13# than the EG "light" hammer spring, but manageable. Looks like if I want a lighter trigger, federal primers will be needed for 100% reliable ignition.
  5. For comparison... Xdm w factory striker spring, today launched the same pencil 2" higher than the EG "light" spring in DA and 1" SHORTER than the wolfe 13# spring also in D A. It's well below either spring in sa. That gun has never had any trouble with any primer, reload or factory. It's also run well over 10k live fire and who knows dry fire on that original spring.
  6. Yeah, but you have to push the limits to FIND the limits!
  7. Changed to wolfe 13# spring. Pencil test gained 3 1/2" and 5" in da/sa respectively over the heights measured with EG "light" hammer spring. Too rainy to test it, there is a 4 stage steel challenge practice Thursday, will see how it goes there.
  8. Wow... I never would have thought that! Might make sense if the bullet it hitting the rifling and the brass isn't seated fully down. (?) I'll double check the plunk test to see, but I think the .40 had a lot of lede room. Thanks.
  9. Maybe I've not seen enough, but aftermarket finishes never seem to hold up as well as factory. Aceinyerface's idea gets my vote. Revel in the wrinkles from life! Then again, I'm old and wrinkled.
  10. On a stock 2 with titan hammer, EG light hammer and firing pin springs, 1 piece EG sear and G3 Henning FP it's giving consistent SA pencil launches 42" up (33" above the barrel) and DA 32" up (23" above the barrel). That's with a nearly new pencil held vertically. The da and sa are very consistent and after dozens of trials, there weren't any markedly shorter, unless my finger fouled the hammer or something silly like that. That seems to be good to real good.... But... I get inconsistent dimples in the primers (S&B ) and random fail to ignite in both da and sa that go off with a 2nd strike using da. Maybe once in 75-100 rounds, and so far ONLY when under the clock! Thoughts on the root cause? Is it more likely slightly high primers or the FPB? Visually, the primers look fine, but... well, I just wanted to check the brain trust prior to chasing my tail uselessly !
  11. I've seen pics here, but my google-fu is weak.... Maybe someone else can link for you?
  12. So.... essentially, the trigger was short stroked and didn't reach reset, hence so "boom"?
  13. "Freeze"? Never used that phrase.... details please.
  14. Grip touching the slide stop? I meant "grip" as in hand that grips the gun, not the panels on the side.
  15. Is the plunger still moving freely and providing good force?
  16. If it works for you! I'm too prone to f-ing things up with "just a little more"
  17. That works. But....Safety lever is like 3x the cost of the sear, so a whoops hurts the wallet bad.
  18. I thought tungsten guide rod was a no-no?
  19. Install the hammer, sear and left side of the safety. Closely look at where the safety hits the sear. Take the sear out of the cage, take A LITTLE off the bottom of that arc on the sear leg. Re-assemble, retry, repeat. I didn't put the sear spring in while fitting, so hand lift of the sear was needed, but it went easier than messing w that spring. I used a small fine stone bit in the dremel to grind the sear. I stopped when it just barely was able to engage. After a couple weeks it smoothed out nicely. Too much off and it will go up, but won't stop it from firing. Probably assembled it 10-12 times, patience pays off
  20. Not an expert, but I believe the 1 piece sear works best with the ext fpb as it doesn't lift as far as the 2 piece.
  21. I like it... it's between the stock wood and the Xtreme, fills my hand better than my Xtreme but got no issue using either one. Thanks. I've got a set ordered, but while waiting for back order to be filled the mind wonders if they were the best choice!
  22. Thoughts on the henning grips?
  23. "Issues" ? Do you mean needing to fit the sear to the safety lever for correct operation?
  24. When I ordered, it said "shipped". No tracking number, nothing. But about a week after shipped, delivery was attemped. I was out, so a trip to the p o was needed to get the parts.
  25. I primarily use a 6" rag wheel on a bench grinder with medium and fine compound. Various grit paper from 500 to 3000. Also the ubiquitous dremel with polishing kit, but I use it least. Plunger head after just a few passes on the rag wheel with the two compounds. The shaft is also polished as well.
