  1. ? Xtreme are $118.95 but you need to but screws for an extra 10 making the total 128.95 Henning is 135 but comes with the screws included. I'm only seeing a difference of a few bucks. Wasn't that big of a deal to me.
  2. The new henning grips work well for my xl mitts. The Xtreme grips are too thin for my preference and the factory wood is just little too smooth. Thankfully there are options!
  3. Sounds like you need a stronger plunger spring. I went from a click bic spring to the factory spring w 2 coils cut to get a more positive reset feel. But REALLY polished all aspects of the plunger at that time and that seems to give a nicer feel. On the pendulum of changes, I'm now swinging towards slighty higher trigger force with dead reliable ignition. As opposed to a few oz lighter and worrying about hearing "click".
  4. Install EG light firing pin return spring and hammer spring. I was getting your result, went back into polish mode. Actually like 3 times. Polish the firing pin and the hole in the frame the pin goes in. Remove the extractor before polishing the hole. Polish the plunger strut and head ESPECIALLY the hole the strut goes in. Shouldn't feel and thing moving the head up and down. Polish the hammer spring strut and the hole it goes in. Polish the hammer and strut pin holes so they swing effortlessly. Polish the FPB and it's hole. now polish the firing pin hole again. Well, mine was extra nasty full of machining marks and needed 2 goes to smooth it out. Weaker sear spring and weaker trigger spring. I got 6 and a quarter da but after 1000 rounds, it started to have light strikes, so it got the wolff 13#. Since repolished holes and FP and FPB and now after 4-5000 triggerings (dry and live combined) it's about 6 1/2da and under 3 sa.
  5. Pretty easy to do the hammer. Henning site has videos of detail strip of frame and slide. You need a 1/16" punch to get the right side safety off. Then flip up and over the sear spring into to groove, pull out the safety, then the sear cage comes out. Remove the hammer pin keeper pin (pushes out the top with a pin or paperclip). Then the hammer pin goes out to the left side. There is info here on the sear. It's more critical, I'd suggest lots of reading and searching.
  6. ^ that's an interesting point. But don't the SA triggers come w a pretravel limiting screw?
  7. Did 3 stock 2's in thale past month and all needed safety leg fitted (xtreme sear/titan).
  8. Factory hammer? That wouldn't surprise, but if a titan or delta....
  9. ^ I like blessings in disguise. Just saw the EG parts are listed as having departed on their journey across the pond. Now just need to patiently wait.... at least the bulk of the polishing chore is complete, just need to swap parts and fit the sear.
  10. Ok, took out the firing pin block and launched the pencil again. Must be some interference as it went a good 6" higher. Good suggestion.
  11. Slapping self in the head.... doh! You are correct sir, total brain fart on my part. There is no disconnector on SA only guns. I've been dinking w da stuff too much recently and have disco on the brain! Sorry for the mistake.
  12. Yes, any LARGE FRAME upper will fit on a large frame lower. Barring minor fitting. My match, lim pro and s2 all mix and match without issue, no fitting was needed
  13. No need. After polishing the Match up it's about 2.5# trigger with extra strong 18# hammer spring (needed to go extra to make a 22 top reliable). Fitting the "T3" disco would be better as it's reputed to shorten SA pretravel. Search here for details on how to do it and the benefits.
  14. Stock 2 is 1/4" shorter than the limited, otherwise both are identical and interchangable. Match is straight barrel, non-supersight and blued where the limited is cone barrel, chrome with the better rear sight. Obviously, when swapping parts some tweaking may be needed. I "think" the long slide uppers come with extended firing pin blocks and the standard length s2 does not... but not 100% sure. Just both of my long slide guns came w 1 piece sear and extended fpb. Hope that helps.
  15. Limited wouldn't be allowed in production. Or do I have that confused? you are correct the limited is an awesome gun!
  16. I just got both. The s2 now has full EG internals and is awesome.smooth, fast accurate. Just over #6 / #3 da/sa, but real smooth after a full polish. The lim pro has been polished, but is awaiting the EG bits, but it will be matched very closely to the s2 trigger. Yet, with the stiff springs, it still shoots really nice. Really tough to make a bad decision with either. Just be aware they still need parts and work to bring out the true potential.
  17. Sounds like a plan. The EG parts were ordered 10/30 and received by the French shipper 11/2, so it shouldn't be too long. Oh ... measured the trigger pulls old school style (dangling weights on a hooked steel rod). With full polishing, all factory parts and factory springs, SA is over 4.5, but under 5#. DA is over 12#. But it is smooth if incredibly stacked at the end. The xtreme parts will be welcome.
  18. There is also a match 9mm used kit with a fiber optic front post for $350 http://www.gunbroker.com/Auction/ViewItem.aspx?Item=517513782 And for the record, im not either seller
  19. Hate to bring it up but there were 2 9mm kits recently on gunbroker. A limited and a stock 2. Both new and about 400-425 each. http://www.gunbroker.com/Auction/ViewItem.aspx?Item=520267641 Maybe the seller has others?
  20. Not yet. But I can tomorrow. Grinding the top (exposed) surface sloooowly would correct it if it is dragging (yes?). Pushing the firing pin in with the block slightly depressed is smooth. After polishing the block, pin and channel it should be.
  21. Put the factory spring back after full polishing. Interestingly, the pencil test with factory springs gave the exact same launch as the stock 2 the titan hammer, xtreme firing pin and light/light EG springs. I mean exactly the same height.
  22. Would aluminum hold up in use? I assume it would need mil spec hard anodizing to not wear from cycling. Spendy, unless a large lot is done, but you can do colors....
  23. Don't cut the firing pin spring. Replace it and try it with a new one. Cut, they don't stack as horribly. These were spare as there are EG light coming along with the other shiny bits of go fast. I did want to track how the light springs performed WITHOUT the titan hammer, xtended firing pin and light fp spring, then compare the improvement after. Yeah, I am an engineer (embarrassed)
