I think so. I need to shoot more before I say yes. I wound up with the Taylor freelance springs and followers and swapping out one of the mag bodies. But I’m not ready to call it fixed just yet.

After reading @Foxj66's thread on his issues with Carpel Tunnel Syndrome, I figured I'd see if anyone has battled Radial Tunnel Syndrome? I had bayonet release surgery for lateral epicondylitis back in August after 2 years of no success solving it with rehab or medication. I came out of that with Radial Tunnel Syndrome, which is basically a shortening/knotting of the supinator and brachial radialus muscles that constrict and compress the radial nerve. The symptoms are weakness in the extensors, pain and weakness gripping stuff at extension, and essentially what I would describe as almost "shin splints" of my forearm.... basically everything you don't want for shooting a handgun. I am not certain as to whether I had this along with the other dysfunction in my elbow or if it developed as a result of the trauma of the surgery. I am currently treating with a lot of stretching, rehab exercises, massage, cold and heat. It is generally fine for day to day life, but the least bit of pistol shooting seems to cause those muscles to knot back up and press on the nerve... The good news is that it seems to have a pretty decent prognosis with rehab. The bad news is that if rehab doesn't work, the surgery to correct it seems to be fairly invasive and have a less than sterling track record of success... Has anyone here dealt with this particular malady?

Still pretty new to this.. so grain of salt. I find that keeping my strong hand relaxed with minimal grip is conducive to faster shooting. I also find myself varying the amount of force I put into the gun with my support hand/arm depending on the difficulty of the target. The harder the target, the more I pull the gun into my shoulder/chest, and the better my recoil management is.

I like it.

@CodyAxon talked at one point on his podcast about how he increased the trigger pull on his Atlas limited guns...

STI has built their entire marketing campaign on "polymer absorbing recoil better than metal", so I wouldn't expect them to revisit the metal grips any time soon...

No issues here either with a 24c through 450 rounds of initial testing this morning...

Mine are a combo of colt and brownells made by metalform. i have ordered the TF spring and follower kits.. Hopefully that will resolve my problem.

I did not have that problem, but have ordered the extra power spring and follower combo to try.

Tried three different tubes and stock guts.

Colt 32 round mags, stock springs, new TaylorFreelance +10 extensions. The bullet end of the round is popping up above the chamber and getting hung between the barrel and bolt. It happened on two stages today with two different mags in the same configuration. No issues with stock mags. It’s about a 10 second issue when it happens, so I need to get this resolved. What’s the issue??? I’m guessing it has to do with spring tension since it is only happening on the big sticks.

You guys haven't had any leading issues with your comps and the coated bullets?

It's been some years, but i want to say mine was a .14 or .15 front. I had no issues with fittiment. Dawson knew what dovetail to cut.

I had this issue with an older SV that I once owned as well. I went with as short a front sight as I could get and the rear was still pretty high.

im sure it does... using different mags makes even quicker work of it.

They don’t fit in a dang maglula... what’s up with .40 mags costing $10 more than 9mm mags?

I havent tried it with 40 since I’m not able to shoot a pistol yet. But allegedly the 9mm works for both.
