  1. The hiperfire grip is as huge as it is ugly. It is comparable in size to a STI 2011 grip. It has a similar angle to the magpul K series grips. As far as my bonafides, I'm 6'5" 270~ with man hands.
  2. I thought it looked like Glock mags as well.
  3. The new new DVC-L, which replaces the limited, does not appear to have an island barrel.
  4. Never shot one. They are at the very top of the price scale for a pcc, I believe.
  5. I would think that you would really only need one if you are running a bullet feeder... possibly two if setting the bullet by hand. 3 would serve no purpose. I have the arrendondo solution, I have not had any issues with the primers getting flipped.
  6. I have seen a lot of gently preloved STI Trojans for less than a grand here and on the various other sites. I have a stock one that I have put 35k~ish through and it has been flawless. I cracked a bushing due to spring stacking that I didn't catch.. but that was me and not the gun. It has been an amazing gun period, let alone for the cost.
  7. I think that is part of the problem is they push them out to dealers and they just sit. The trojan was discontinued 2-3 years ago, but dawson still had some last I checked.
  8. they made some aluminum ones for a while... their entire marketing campaign is that polymer transmits less recoil than metal grips, so seems like they aren't headed back in that direction.
  9. I also have a strong preference for the plastic grip. However, with STI coming out with new design plastic grips, I wonder if the traditional style polymer grip is going to be a thing of the past as well.
  10. Good point. And the introduction of the plethora of metal grip options hasn't helped either, I'd bet...
  11. From a FB discussion with one of their "pro" shooters... the Edge has been discontinued for 2019 but he hinted that a replacement would be forthcoming in the not too distant future.
  12. I've got a 4.15" STI tactical that I bought with the intentions of carrying it... it is still ridiculously heavy with a polymer grip and a 17 round mag. I wind up carrying a M&P 90% of the time instead.
  13. Where is it? I am not seeing it when I click on “all guns”.
  14. Looks like they killed everything not in the “DVC” lineup and added a 4.15” tactical with different slide cuts. https://stiguns.com/product-lineup/
  15. Just tell Dawson it’s for a SV. They’ll send you the right one. I had one break same as yours and also felt that the sv sight got a lot dirtier than need be due to the design. Biggest issue you’ll might run into is the base of the new sight being fatter than the rub on your barrel. I know @CrashDodson replaced all his sv sights with manny dots. Maybe he’ll pop in and off guidance.
  16. I think they are going to make a larger stacatto but not sure it’s SS legal.
  17. Let’s see if it’s still out there after Shot Show. I’m pretty sure if Dawson is saying the Edge is discontinued, then the Edge is discontinued. I think DLC was the finish for all 2018.
  18. it's not stainless, it's Dawson's hard chromed version. The Edge has always been blued, to my knowledge, as it ships from STI. They used to make a model called the Executive which was a hard chromed Edge with a different roll mark.
  19. If you look at the message in the unexpanded format....
  20. This makes sense because they have sold virtually zero Edges and Trojans...
  21. Yup. A CK solution is going to be the cheapest new gun on the market.... if ck still makes that.
  22. Whats old is new again...
  23. Judging by the email I just got from Dawson, STI has discontinued the Edge. I really wonder what they’re trying to accomplish.
  24. a new design plastic grip is the best idea they've had in years...
