  1. I had the same problem crop up earlier this year. I also have a swenson and trimmed down the right lever. As I took my finger out of the trigger guard during movement and reloads my whole grip tends to relax and the knuckle of my right index finger was popping the safety on. So I did as several have mention here. Had a buddy Pat Mileshosky stretch the detent plunger spring, deepened the notch and I reduced the right side lever's width. Still was having problems once in awhile. So I added some JB Weld to the grip just below the "pad" portion of the safety. Bingo! Never had the problem again.
  2. Incredible action and a great movie. I enjoyed every minute. And so did the kiddos!
  3. Sweet! Nice looking equipment as well. ;-)
  4. Will you be at the CO State Championship?
  5. All I can say is that we averaged about 3-4 minutes per shooter on Stage 8 (32rd field course) with two RO's using the PDA. That is including rebuilding the stage when the wind tipped over walls and bent over targets/stands. Thanks to all the shooters that helped us in correcting mother nature's menacing ways!
  6. Here is my video of the match. I had alot of fun shooting most of the stages...other's I was bit by the sandstorm bug and have a couple of really bad jams. It was really cool to meet new Benos buddies along with reuniting other of friends I have met shooting around the southwest. Thanks to everyone that helped out and it was a pleasure to RO such a great bunch of folks! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=muMHf5c_GdI Edited to add I think I used a pretty fitting soundtrack for this one!
  7. I would like to RSVP that I am attending... Thanks to Kevin's assistance. Entry form on its way
  8. What an awesome accomplishment. WTG bro!
  9. Congrats on both account buddy!
  10. Congrats bro! You are truely one of the most deserving shooters to earn such an honor!
  11. OK, bottom line is only YOU can answer this question for yourself. Chances are we all think (know) we are worth it. And have to justify it to ourselves. I for one believe that price is "trivial" when it comes to what I want or desire. And I know I am worth spending a certain $3k on a gun for what I am most passionate in life doing. And that is shooting USPSA.
  12. Of the three major matches I have attended this year there has been none... Certificates will never compare to cold hard products either. I'm just sayin...
  13. I started shooting a Glock in Limited. But have enjoyed shooting STIs more. I'm not sure why...other than they are cooler IMHO. And their support of the sport and contigency program is awesome. I don't see many Glocks on prize tables..
  14. I know there is a ton of "stuff" when you are tactical that you have to think about and perform, but everyone has got to be impressed with your shooting ability. aside from the technical skills needed for a felony car stop, the ability to shoot the trunk key off a key ring while missing the ignition key, weak handed while moving has got to be handy. If someone has the gun stuff down, then they can 100% focus on the tactics. People who struggle with the gun stuff tend to get REALLY amped up and nervous during the simunitions training. I really liked being able to call my shots (without thinking about it) on a live person. Today I made a 9 yard head shot while rapidly backing up after a fistfight with a live person who was also moving away from me. I was able to see the front sight lift up off this guys noggin and I knew he was done. It was cool.
  15. I would really like to make it down to shoot with my buddies at this match. I have the time off... just can't scrape the funds together...
  16. I will be bidding for my next post for the rest of the year next month. Hopfully I will get weekends off again and there is still room in this match by then. If so I am gonna shoot off my application asap!
  17. I don't regret paying less than 3K for mine....
  18. Yeah, Damon shot a solid Master score at Space City.
  19. Don't blame the hoarders alone. There have been a number of reports in the gun media about the effect of increased government purchases for the military taxing the production capabilities of the component and ammunition manufacturers. Add to that the unreasonable hysteria fanned by NRA and some right-wing media and shooters following the election, and what you get are short supplies and higher prices. Hit the nail on the head there...
  20. IDK..I have handled some 6 bushing guns without lightening and thought they weren't too heavy. But then again I like a heavier 6" than some. My Cheely built blaster runs in the 37oz ballpark with a bull barrel. I has been lightened quite a bit though. It tracks good and shoots really flat with 220 S&S bullets.
  21. I got one of your Bart! I wanna try and get more, but it distracts me just getting mine on video! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GkxCW-UUcls
  22. Here is a video of a good buddy Damon. His movement is coming a long way and I can see improvement from the Space City Championship in Texas. We talked about where each of us can improve and looks like Damon has stepped up to the plate. WTG bro! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V_PsmZZNBXs
