  1. Boo- You are correct- I meant thousanths of an inch. I am going to start using some One Shot lube and see my results from there. I am pretty sure that once I use the lube it will make the loading stroke far more consistant. I am using a strong mount for the same reasons as you, but I am sure it make things more solid as well. Everyone- thanks for you input. I appreciate the help.
  2. I just bought a SDB. I was wondering if bullet seating depth flucuation is common? I am have seating depths that change + or - a few tenths of an inch. Now that I have been using Zero bullets it has been better. The Berry's seemed to fluctuate more though. I haven't been using any case lube. Would that help make things more consistant? I have heard that the Hornady One Shot lube is the way to go....
  3. After handling my reoads there are some fingerprint stains on the bullets and brass. I had heard something of tumbling bullets after they are loaded. Does anyone have any experience doing this or have any thoughts on the idea? I am just wondering if there would be any benefit to this or just a waste of time?!
  4. B class Production With the information gained from Matt Burkett and Steve Anderson, I have compiled a rather intense dryfire routine. It consists of 340 draws, 170 reloads and 110 transitions. I began this daily routine 1 week before the WIIT in Illinois this Feb. and won the match in B class. I have limited USPSA match experience, so I think it made a tremensous difference. I have since downgraded to running that routine to 3 times a week, so I don't burn myself out. Livefire is hard for me to afford finacially, so I save ammo for matches for the match experience I need! For livefire I shoot 2-3 USPSA league matches and 4 club matches starting in March. Like I said, this routine has just started last Jan. So we will see what I will be able to accomplish this year.
  5. Since Wisconsin does't allow it's citizen to carry concealed weapons, all of the gear I buy to use in IDPA is "competition" gear. It would seem that all holster definitions are subject interpretation. I may be in violation of state law just for wearing a concealment vest at the range. Can anyone say what holster is legal for use in IDPA other than Wilson Combat's holsters. Looks like we are in need of a holster list huh?!
  6. Lets look even beyond the rules a moment. How about all of the Area Coordinators, Match Directors, Safety Officers, and members that work the ranges on a VOLUNTEER basis. They are not given any reward, recognition or VOICE in the decision of a few BoD members that clearly don't know what is going on in the "grass root" clubs. All for the profit of the president of IDPA. And then IDPA BoD institute a rule book that is 4 years late, in my opinion, essentially taking there right away to compete legally in the sport by outlawing thier gear! Everything from firearms to the power factor of ammunition, are changed. Looks like the Bod thought there was more problems with this sport than even I did. Then there are the sponsers and supporters of the sport that are left out to dry. Last month they were ok, now they are deemed unsafe and recklace?! Why did it take the IDPA BoD 4 years to rule on this? The gear that is on the chopping block is the some of the same gear used when I started over 2 years ago. I recall asking a question about where the new Glock 37 .45GAP would fit in for competition. I failed to receive any reply from IDPA HQ's "customer service". I tried several attempts with no response. My wife's membership is still "lost". She attempted to sign up last August. I know of several people in the very same situation as far as the membership goes. Yes, I resigned as a Match Director. I am not the first and will not be the last. Premature? I am wondering why I even stepped up?! Probably because nobody else wanted to do it- I found out why! It took me two years of hard work to make Master in this sport and I loved the journey. It really sucks that it has come to this. It has been going downhill fast, in my opinion. And now it has sunk! My suggestions to IDPA HQ: Whether you call them customers, employees, or members- take care of them. They are a precious resource. And you are loosing them!!
