  1. I have found that I like to run IPSC Alex thumb rests on both my 2011 open guns and my CZ TSO. I don't have thumb rests on any of my CO guns and I have not yet put together a LO gun so I feel like I would put a thumb rest on a gun like that. For CO I have a Glock and a CZ P10F so I'm not aware of any thumb rests for those platforms.
  2. Looks good. How many more bays are you going to be putting in? I shot a couple of the SnS 400 matches down at your old place. Maybe get those going again?
  3. Correct. Run the best plan that you can with the intention of gathering points. Shoot As and get to as much as you can.
  4. MBX make what you are looking for. They have a 170mm model. Pricey but worth it for reliability. You can also buy the 26rd option from CZCustom and then add a basepad to from Springer Precision. Never could quite get those to run right in my Czechmate but Bevin Grams specializes in tuning them.
  5. Message me. I'll put in poppels for you.
  6. I did mine myself since I'm a machinist and putting in poppel holes is stupid simple. 3 month wait is stupid long. I did 2 poppels for a buddy of mine recently on a Honcho and I was on and off the mill in 7 minutes. That includes indicating in the slide.
  7. After I put two popple holes in my Czechmate it flattened it out nicely. It was fine to shoot before the holes. After it was just a bit better. I stopped running a shock buff since it seemed like it was short stroking the slide.

    Cz Czechmate FTF

Magazines need tuned. Your too wide.
  9. Magpul came out with a drum. They are very reliable. Just make sure you buy the one for PCC and not Glock pistol. They are different lengths.
  10. I wouldn't bet on it. STI is not even a company anymore and Staccato really doesn't seem to want much of anything to do with competition shooters.
  11. I've been told that they are no longer selling grips. All are being used on builds by PT.
  12. Anything that is attached to the gun and will be on the gun to shoot the stage is considered part of the gun. The gun will lay as flat as the equipment allows. Propping is considered when using a magazine, bullet or some other means to hold up the gun. A PCC with offset dot can be laid down however the shooter wants and if that is on the optic then so be it.
  13. Yes. I have shorter screws on the way to mount the block from the Hydra P+ and the Evo to the drop plate. It will have the ability to continue to use the factory thigh pad. I sent for black anodizing yesterday.
  14. Magazines is what drove me out of the Tanfo for open. I had a V12 and loved the ergonomics of the gun. Couldn't put up with not being able to get reliable 170mm mags. Same thing with the Czechmate that I moved to. That was before MBX added them to the lineup. If that would have happened about a year earlier, I would likely still have that gun.
  15. I bought one of these holsters for a Shadow 2 on here a couple weeks ago. I had already heard about how bad the hanger was. Came up with this solution but was easy because it is just a modification of my other stuff.
  16. Can anyone tell me the thread size for the bolts that attach the holster to the hanger?
  17. I only wear mine for shooting but did drive for a while after a match. Started thinking, why is everyone's headlights green? Then I realized I was wearing my HD Golds.
  18. $50k for a salary is just the tip of the iceburg in compensation. I think that is where we are going to find that this came to a head for YML. He likely started probing for answers and wanting to know about travel expenses and looking at the budget with how much money a few directors spend on travel per year leads toward some padding. Not even to mention how much free ammo and guns are being kept by a select few that helps offset some lower pay levels.
  19. Pictures will help you sell them. Well maintained Dillon equipment normally brings 75-80% of MSRP. Go on the Dillon website and see what the prices are then price them out.
  20. Always. I don't want to hope for getting a gun repaired at the safe table and the rest of my match depends on having the right part or ability to get it done. I just carry a spare of the exact gun that I'm using in the match. I've never had to switch but it is always in the range bag.
  21. The radius can be accomplished fairly easily if you have a rotary table in your arsenal of tools for your manual mill. If you don't have one and can't borrow one then I wouldn't worry about it.
  22. Pretty straight forward cut even on a manual mill as long as you can ignore the radius at the end. I likely wouldn't worry about cutting it since there is more than enough length to lock up the plates for side to side play and there is a hard stop at the front.
  23. It can be 4 out of 6 but your classification is a rolling best 6 out of 8. If all of those classifications go into the system at once then you will get the best 6 of the 8 but not below 5% of the initial classification letter. So straight math puts you at 47.92% but likely is that #1, 2 & 5 gets tossed for being too far below 40% cutoff for C class. Then you would come in with an initial classification of 66.11%.
  24. I use the tip of my Kershaw Leek that is always in my pocket. No scratches.
  25. I've had both but have neither now. Both were great and more than capable for the game we play. The Limited Pro is the one that I miss the most and would buy again if I were in the market for another Production gun.
