Hello All,
I have recently become interested in trying my hand at USPSA and have been looking around for info. Found this forum and here I am. I went to observe a club level match a couple weeks ago at my Sportsmen's Club. Looks like something I might want to try. I've never shot competitively and have only been shooting handguns for a couple years. I'm currently 38 so no longer young.
When I went to the match I was looking for equipment and rules. The stages looked interesting and seem to have to be individually figured out. I do have some questions. I don't know that I'll get a bunch of answers here but it is better than starting a bunch of threads. Here are a couple things I need answers to:
1. What gun to use? I don't have the funds to buy another new gun to try out a new sport so it will have to come out of my current stable. These are the top candidates that I currently own FNX-9, SR9, SA Loaded 1911 and S&W 686 4". I have 3 or more mags for these guns and would need speed loaders for the revolver.
2. I ordered a belt and only have a belt holster for the 1911. What holsters should I be looking for if I want to use the FN or SR? The Fobus paddle holsters seem to be the most economical.
3. I have no mag holders. Where do most people find these for decent prices? Seemed most of he shooters at the match were using singles.
Thanks for the great looking forum. I have a lot of reading ahead of me.
