    Just started loading 7.1 autocomp 124g MG JHP 1.16OAL was producing 1438fps with range brass. Haven't seen any problems,....yet.

    I'm starting to load 9 major and I would like to use good brass to start with. Some brass is slightly thicker near the rim.

    Sorry about that.(auto correct) no step brass. I've read some brass have thicker walls. I'm trying to find who makes it and where can I buy it.

    Have had the versa and the m2. The m2 is lighter and just felt better to me. Try both out first, most guys will let you use theirs to try them out.

    I put extended firing pins in all of my czs, never had a light strike even with 11-13 hammer spring.

    I bought a kimber custom I in 2000 and have shot it in IDPA ever since, about 25K rounds later still shoots like brand new. At least the series 1 guns were awesome.

    I'm new to open class, what are some of the more popular bullets used for open class? Plated, moly, jacketed? Where do you get them?

    (new to reloading) Looking at a Dillion 550, are dillion carbide dies as good as any?

    Vortex pts 1x4 subtention lines line up great for 200, 300, 400, 500 yds. At one of the clubs I shoot 3gun we always shoot out to 500. It also has a true 1x that always you to shoot both eyes open without double vision.

    Who makes good brass for open guns?

    It's funny my friends shine a light over their powder drop stage to make sure they don't double charge a round. My other friends that load 9 major shine a light over the powder drop stage to make sure they fill it up all the way.

    I have done a lot of idpa, 3 gun, Steel and some uspsa production/ limited. Now I want to find a open gun and play there.

    I know these two sports couldn't be more different but when I began shooting 3 gun I started winning or placing near the top in idpa and uspsa matches.

    I like armadillo concealment, it swings back easy and the pockets stay open for tac reloads. The longer you wear it, it conforms to you and works even better. There are many body shapes, one vest doesn't work for everyone.
