  1. Not just a comp gun, gotta have back up sights. I plan on using the blacked out sight to make things less busy.
  2. I've got a gen 5 Glock 34 MOS that I'm putting a Holosun 509T V2 on with a CHPWS plate. I have no idea what height supressor sights I'll need. Anyone have any recommendations? Preference is for blacked out front and rear.
  3. I use the gallon jug of parts cleaner/ degreaser from menards. I dilute it and it works great on plastic parts and treated metals without any issue.
  4. Sounds like they are decent optics, thanks guys I appreciate the input.
  5. I'm pretty sure Glock 34's come with a minus connector. If it matters for ya.
  6. I've got a guy wanting to trade me a Romeo 3Xl for an eotech. My question for the group is does anyone have any feedback on the 3xl? I've never handled one before. I've got a glock 34 mos I could put it on but wanted to see if they are quality before I pull the trigger. Any pros or cons or experiences you folks have had would be appreciated.
  7. I pour mine in a bucket and leave it out in the sun. The water evaporates and leaves the crud in the bucket.
  8. Looking to pick up a rear sight tool that will be used solely on Glocks. I know some had issues when pushing metal sights so I'd prefer something that won't break easily. Point me in the right direction fellas, what do you all recommend?
  9. Low primer alarm is your best option. You don't have to watch it, you just wait for the buzzer to go off and load a new tube in. The other nice thing is even when the alarm goes off you still have several primers available in the wheel.
  10. I need recommendations for some 556/223 dummy rounds. The goal would be to use them for setting up immediate action drills and double feeds. What is everyone using ??
  11. I'd recommend doing a prep cycle and then a load cycle. You'll have to lube your brass before sizing it and lube and powder don't go we together. I process a couple of buckets at a time to make it worth while. Pistol ammo is much easier like you said since it can be done in one session. I'd get a Lyman M die if you don't already have one. Good luck!
  12. Short version is the motor on my case feeder is starting to give out. The high speed is equal to the low speed on my other case feeder and the low speed barely rotates the case feeder plate. I've done some looking and saw Dillon will replace the motor for around $150. I was curious if anyone has just gone out and purchased a replacement motor not through dillon. I have seen a few other companies sell kits but they are practically the same cost. If you have purchased a motor which one did you get and where did you get it. Thanks
  13. I use a cement mixer with a polymer drum. I put cut up conveyor belts over the metal agitators in the drum. I can do a full bucket at a time if needed. I only use it for wet tumbling. I never tried dry tumbling with it.That is one extreme though. I know harbor freight sells a big vibratory tumber. A good friend has used it for years with no issues. https://www.harborfreight.com/18-lb-vibratory-bowl-with-liquid-drain-hose-96923.html
  14. Sad to hear they stopped servicing the bullet feeders. Since that option is out I'd highly recommend a MBF. I got one for 40sw as well and I have had no issues to date.
  15. Exactly what he said for me. I've stayed with the 147s after trying 124s. The cost difference was nominal and the gun stayed flatter for me allowing a faster follow-up shot. Definitely load up some of each and do some drills. You may find you like one over the regardless what others say or use. Good luck!
  16. I've ran thousands of moly coated lead bullets made by SNS Casting through my Glock 17 and 34 without issue. If you're gonna shoot lead I'd recommend moly coated bullets vs plain lead bullets. If you start seeing lead in the barrel run a brass brillow pad through the barrel to pull out any of the residual lead.
  17. Search the forum and you'll get several threads with multiple tips/ tricks guys have used to solve this debacle you have going on. Good luck!
  18. exact same for me, I've been playing around with their round nose bullets but the load data is sound and shoots like a wet dream.
  19. If you're looking for a 75ish grain mag length bullet you might want to look into the blackhills mk262 mod 1. It's a 77gr OTM bullet.
  20. That's great, if it wasn't a match gun before it probably has the sto k recoil spring in it. I'll have to check mine to see what weight it is. I shoot 147gr lead bullets and it has no recoil or muzzle flip.
  21. if your media is clumping it could be too much lube or moisture inside the casings. Walnut media tends to clump when moisture gets added to the mix.
  22. Both guesses make sense, good idea replacing the internals of the slide. You probably saved yourself a massive headache down the road.
  23. I'd be concerned as to why the firing pin channel liner was messed with in the first place. It isn't something that really needs to be messed with. Did the previous owner change it out?
