  1. Yes, went over that in detail with Glock support. The tech said I could consider getting better quality screws then the ones provided by Glock. He said they were rated at around 100,000 psi tensile strength and should be fine under most circumstances, but he said McMaster sold some that were rated at 140,000 psi. I tried to look them up, I wasn’t sure I found the right ones, and did want to pay $7 each for them. then, I found them for $2 at Big Tex Ordnance. I never heard of them before, but took a chance since it was just a few bucks.
  2. I like the folding stock on mine for easier portability and storage in the safe. I don’t shoot it much and am not experienced enough with precision rifle shooting to know if it helps or hurts my ability. I would not have bought it if it didn’t have the folding stock option.
  3. Lol, I have one Gen4 G17 MOS with a Holosun sight that has never failed me. Probably because I never shoot it. That's one way to make them last forever.
  4. Argh! Sheared the plate of my slide today. Probably only has around 6-7k rounds through it. I think if I could find a Gen5 slide milled for RMR in stock I'd buy it. At least my backup is a Gen3 with Brownells milled slide. The dot isn't going anywhere on that one...
  5. Sorry to hear you all are having such problems. I went the RL1100 route, and don’t regret it, but that doesn’t mean it was trouble free. Maybe we are all of the wrong frame of mind to think that after spending so much for the press it should work flawlessly. Does anyone on this forum know anybody that bought a Mark 7, or RL1050/1100 and took it out of the box and had it run perfectly? It seems we all go through the “dialing in” or troubleshooting period where we tweak, adjust, or even replace/upgrade some parts before the press is up and running. And even then, when it’s working, as soon as someone mentions a new doohickey we immediately start considering whether or not to add it to our press. Mine is finally running fine (manually), but I seem to want to replace my shell plate with an aftermarket and I don’t even know why. It never ends. Hopefully, you guys will get things worked out and Lyman/Mark 7 support will be responsive and helpful. I’m watching this thread because I’m sure there will be a Mark 7 press in my future, just not sure when.
  6. It’s been a while since Tapatalk went away, and that’s not really an issue. What is an inconvenience is that the current forum software doesn’t seem very friendly to use on mobile devices. is it possible to consider an alternative? Another forum I frequent seems to work really well on mobile devices. Could we possibly see what they use and consider a switch? I’d be happy to donate to help make it happen. Here is the site if others want to verify whether it works for them on their mobile devices before a switch may be considered: https://www.northeastshooters.com/xen/
  7. It’s the same for me using Firefox on an iPhone. I miss Tapatalk.
  8. Definitely plated, not even a legitimate discussion. No reason to choose coated over plated other than cost or availability.
  9. I didn’t think they got the fee, I always thought it went to the shipper, FedEx or UPS.
  10. I think the good news takeaway is that they are finally showing up. Yeah the are expensive, but I think they will soon come down a bit. I wouldn’t be surprised if the new normal has them running about $60/1,000 for the next year or 2.
  11. Small pistol primers are currently in stock at Natchez.
  12. Damn, I’d probably drive up to 10 hrs to get that price if they had as much as I wanted…
  13. Did they say why they changed their profile? There must be a reason.
  14. Not at all, but it’s a much more solid mount to attach the sight directly to the slide instead of having a plate mounted to the slide, and then the sight mounted to the plate. 2 more screws to break, everything is thinner with less screw threads holding them in place.
  15. I dug out the package, It’s made by SDM Fabricating. It’s called “semi-adjustable” but I don’t know about that, maybe if you didn’t screw it down all the way you can get some height elevation. I loved it when I shot a lot of revo, but I am probably going to replace it with an Allchin sro mount.
  16. Lol, good one Sarge. Current pricing for CCI SPP from Natchez is $491 for 5,000 delivered. Hopefully, the next time I buy primers they will be at least a bit more reasonable…
  17. I actually put a fixed rear sight on mine. I forget who makes it but I’m pretty sure it came from Brownells over 10 years ago. It works awesome.
  18. Thanks. Do you really need them often? This is the first one I’ve broken in 25 years.
  19. Been there, done that. But only because I self reported. I had accidentally grabbed the 2nd to last mag on my belt at make ready instead of the last mag which I normally keep 11 rounds in. Imagine my surprise when the slide locked back at shot #10. At least I got to load my mags to full capacity for the last 2 stages…
  20. Did Blue say why they changed their profile? Seems like that’s a big decision to make, there must be a reason. And, if your having issues, then you would think a lot of others using the Dillon seating die would also start having similar problems.
  21. That looks odd, are the new bullets softer than the old style? You must be using the round nose side of the seating die right?
  22. 9mm 124gr JHP currently in stock.
  23. Sounds like going to a 2 pass method of reloading is what you need. Then you can decap and resize in the first pass without the primer assembly or powder measure on the press. If you lube your brass you may be able to lower the torque setting, or maybe not, 40 can be tough to resize. Then, when loading on the 2nd pass you should definitely be able to lower the torque way down as the brass will already be sized and you should be able to cruise along smoothly.
