Looks for Range

Looks for Range (1/11)

  1. Will you be having single gun stages again this year? I'm mostly curious about whether or not there will be a 40+ round shotgun stage again so I can get my gear squared away.
  2. What's the registration cost? I believe it is $250 for adults and $125 for juniors.
  3. To the OP, the 6" G-Code is a very nice holster if it fits your frame width. Wide tac frame or standard? My new build uses a 5" tac frame that's the same width as the slide and afraid my current GCode holster won't work. If it's an STI Tactical frame (has a light/accessory rail) I don't believe it's the same width as the STI Unique slide (like an STI Edge is). I have an STI Tactical DS, which had a 5" STI Tactical frame and it fits in my G-Code XST with no additional modification. My experience fitting 2011s into a G-Code XST with regards to frame width is as follows: Standard Frame (Ex: STI Eagle) - Fits Tactical Frame (Ex: STI Tactical DS, Marauder, DVC 3-Gun) - Fits Wide Frame (Ex: STI Edge, DVC, Apiero) - Does NOT fit. However, it appears one could sand the inside of the holster so the part that meets the frame is widened enough to fit. The kydex is pretty thick, and I think there would be plenty left to not worry about it. This is what I would do if I had a wide frame.
  4. So I did something dumb when my TTI P-Mag basepads arrived. They are ultimately destined for Gen 2 P-Mags as my rifle prefers them over Gen 3, but in my haste to look at them on a mag I was sliding it on a Gen 3 mag with spring and bottom plate still in (not base plate, the one on the bottom of the spring). I went to far and the spring extended (like it should). So, I have a PMag with the Gen 3 bottom plate and spring still in it and a TTI basepad on. I obviously can't slide the TTI basepad off with the bottom plate in because of the little riser that sticks up. Anyone ever done anything equally as stupid? Curious if there are any tricks to my getting it off short of scrapping the mag and cutting the feed lips off to pull the spring out the top so I can slide the basepad off.
  5. The range has a 400 yard bay. Local matches have typically only engaged to 300 yds. Not sure what the plan is, but 300-400 yds is possible. The range is capable of 300 but I'm not sure what their stage plans are.
  6. I have the thinnest gel pad for my Vinci and it's definitely thicker than 1/4".
  7. Will this still hold 24 rounds with the TTI guts?
  8. I'm not in that area, but I have a gun that had the slide, frame, and barrel fitted by Jeff at Abernathy Precision Gun Works. Very tight and smooth. Mt. Holly, NC
  9. 3G has a tighter slot that the ledge on the bottom of the tube goes into. I had one on an STI tube w/ TTI spacer, follower, and spring and only got 22 in the mag. It was a pain to remove with the spacer in. Fits 140mm mag gage. 4G has a bit wider slot and I easily got 23 in each mag with same TTI guts. Some of mine reload easier with 23 than others, but I always try to download my reload mags to 22 unless I really need one more round. Fits 140mm mag gage. 7G is made for Open division mags. No experience with it, but my understanding is you may get 24 rounds, but it will not fit the 140mm mag gage. If you get caught you will bump to Open. I never had any problems with STI tubes, TTI 4G2 base pads, and TTI spacer, follower, and spring. I did modify follower to not lock back on empty.
  10. I use the Nordic Components tube on mine. Never used a barrel clamp on it either. There's always the new Taccom extension stabilizer if you want to support the tube without affecting POI. Three other local guys I know run Vinci's, and all use NC tubes. One guy switched from another brand to the NC.
  11. Jesse - Acqua is a nice place with great food. It's a little pricey, but not completely unreasonable. I believe outside seating is first come, first served, but reservations can be made for seating inside.
  12. I believe it also airs in online via Carbon TV. However, I'm not sure what the schedule is for that medium.
  13. To clarify, I'm referring to flying into Baltimore with my 3 gun gear, not carry laws. Mainly if there are possession restrictions for mags of a certain capacity and/or AR15 restrictions.
  14. Can anyone advise on Maryland gun laws? Baltimore is about 2 hours away from the range and airfare seems reasonable from my region, but I'd rather not get arrested if I violate MD laws I'm not aware of.
