When I broke that black piece on the priming rod Hornady sent me 2 new ones no charge. I don't know if you go the spare parts but it comes with a extra one out of the box
I bet it is pulling out of battery when you shoot. Either put the stock recoiled spring in or a lighter striker spring. With the striker spring your going to need a extended striker to insure reliably
Taylor Freelance makes a +3 that makes the glock 22 round mags into 170mm

If your going to use the same load you aren't going to get the most out of you comp. Open pistols work best pushing light bullets fast, with a slow burning powder.
Your limited load might cycle it, but it won't be as nice I would bet
I got the racer and didn't want to change the block in case I got another glock in the future. I modified the trigger guard a little where the holster grabs it. You wouldn't see if unless you were looking for it.
Are you going to always shoot minor? I just started shooting open with a G17 this season but its my understanding that the more gas to work the comp the better. Im pushing 115gn bullets to 1500ish fps.
When i was building it and shot it with just the comp and no dot it was really clear that the comp helped keep it flat. Is the powder your using a good match for open?
If you don't reload I don't think your going to find 9 major ammo. Unless you buy it from someone reloading just for that. If your shooting factory I would go with a a small comp.
I had nothing but problems shooting lead through my G35 Lonewolf barrel. Its marketed as somthing for shooting lead because the rifling is standard, but then the chamber is to tight for oversized (.402) cast bullets. By the time you spend the money to get them to run right you could have bought a KKM.
I use the SCJ 5 port, which is what they recommend if your going to shoot minor and major. If you are only going to shoot major i would recommended their 11 port comp.
I would buy it again and am pleased with it on my G17.
What are you thoughts on thumb Rests? Im new to open and was looking at the SJC thumb rest. Ive never shot an open gun with one so I was planning on shooting a season without one and see how it goes. Is it that big of an advantage?
It should be marked on the bag the parts came in?
My zev kit came with a 2# spring and a 3# spring. I get some light strikes with CCI SPP with the 2#, the 3# runs fine
