  1. Go for it. Clean it before it builds up bad and no problems
  2. The blue on your hands is extra from when the coating is applied. It's not the actual coating
  3. I'm been trying them in my open Glock 115gn at 1500fps. I'll be ordering more they seem great and 2/3 the cost of mg
  4. I used the page over at ar15 to make my own. works great, a lot of people have made one.
  5. I dont think my search is working. When i searech the classifieds for "glock" i only get 5 results...did i screw with something?
  6. You could try it in practice. I dont see any reason why it wouldnt work. Clearing double feeds might be a chore though
  7. Ive ran about 400 rounds with the new extractor and spring. Runs great.
  8. 4.3 gn of red dot makes major in 40 with 180 gn bullets in my 35. You could back off and still be OK I would think. Finding a crony would be best though
  9. He explains it on his website. You buy it all from him and it replaces your trigger group. This is just something he changed from what he already offers I guess.'
  10. Bob Vogel does a series on YouTube. He has to shift his grip to reach the mag button too, and he seems to do alright
  11. I have the Hornady one. I had to pull 500 bullets (loaded for major and I wanted them minor) it worked great with jacketed and plated bullets. I couldn't get it to work for cast bullets though.
  12. Production you wouldn't have full mags anyways, so you wouldn't have the same problem
  13. Mine used to do that. I was using to much soap. Now I just get one case every once and a while that is more of a pink color, i just toss them. I don't think they are bad but 9 brass is free so not worth the hassle
  14. My extractor was the one that came in the gun. I replaced the extractor and the spring today, so we will see if that was it
  15. I bought it new last winter, I would have to find the case to see when it was made
  16. You dont have to add base pads but its way easier
  17. I did it myself and if you fell pretty confident it's pretty simple. Just make you go slow and drill the holes in the right spot. I wouldn't take it to a local guy unless he did it before. I tired that before I did it myself and I spent more time explaining what it was for and why I wanted it done than I expected. I'll see if I can find any pictures tomorrow, but really the only hard part is clearing a spot for the bushing to fit into. They have to sit flush in the frame so there is a spot for the guide rod to sit

    9 or 34

    I used a 17. I don't see any advantage on using a 34
  19. I have a Glock that had some issues the past couple of matches. Most of the time it runs without a problem but it would fail to extract the case after it was fired and then try to feed the next one out of the mag. I've never had feeding issues with the gun. When it jams i cant get it out by racking the slide. Its happened 3 times. The first I had to use a squib rod to get it out, the second i pryed it out with my pocket knife and the 3rd time i used a small screw driver. I dont have any pictures because it has only happened at matches and i couldnt tell the brass from the rest on the ground. All the brass that got stuck went into the chamber like it should which makes me think that the brass isnt to blame but I really dont know. Today I did 3 passes with a bore snake at the start of the day and it happened twice over the 150 round match. The only other time it happened I had not cleaned the gun for 3 months because I couldn't get it apart and a few passes with a boresnake eliminated the problem. Any ideas would be appreciated. Ive never case gauged my ammo and since it only happened 3 out of 4k round I dont know if that would help solve it. The gun was bought new and has about 4k rounds of 9 major thru it. KKM gun smith barrel (from SJC as part of a kit) 5 port sjc comp 14 lb spring 115 MG JHP 7.5 gn AutoComp 1.15" OAL CCI SPP 173 PF
  20. When you look at the blushing from the inside they should be flush with the frame. I don't think that the holes being a little off would make a difference. I wouldn't worry about lowering the port if you are not having issues with the brass bouncing back in
  21. I haven't done it but people on this forum have talked about pushing blue bullets to major. I was going to pick some up and try it out for next season
  22. Open minor would be he easiest. And it would be more like the rounds you use for 3 gun
  23. You could shoot open with it. Most likely the poi will change when you change the slide, so you'll have to remember zero. Are you using a comp? You could just reload for 9 major and not worry about the 40
  24. As long as you just rounded the edges and didn't make the front of the trigger guard thinner overall it should be fine.
  25. Isn't the only difference in cost more powder? And I'll stick with major, I like open because I can go fast and major helps if I go to fast and drop some points
