  1. CZC tactical rear and 1.0 CZC front. I forget the height of the front but I had to file a bit off the top to get it perfect.
  2. Like I said above, I have both 9mm and .40 top ends and they both run fine on the same lower, which began life as a 9mm. Also, I have both 9mm and 40 mags and have run 40 in the 9mm mags without an issue. It was a test shoot but I discovered the error after I bagged the gun and I thought to myself hey that wasn't supposed to work.
  3. Works fine. BTW, the first time I shot mine with the .40 slide I accidentally loaded .40 cal rounds in 9mm mags and it ran fine. I need to do some more testing.
  4. Great news. Setup is everything with the 650. Mine is 1.5 years old and it keeps getting better the more I understand it and tweak it.
  5. My shadows reliably drop the slide when hammering a mag home. They have done that since new. I love my CZs and really can't contemplate shooting anything else.
  6. I'd recommend a shadow with fixed sights.
  7. Everyone who owns a CZ owes it to themselves to learn how to tune it. Its not too difficult with some patience. After tearing into it a couple times, you will feel foolish for paying somebody else to tune your piece. I'd strongly recommend installing a short reset disconnector. While you are in there, polish, polish, polish.

    CZ 97B

I've got a 97 BE which is a cajun gun works tuned 97 including a 1911 style barrel bushing. The trigger is great as is the accuracy. I don't find it too big or too top heavy. I love it and frankly don't shoot it enough.
  9. I wouldn't pay that much but I have to admit that on a couple of occasions when I have really needed powder I have paid $5-7/lb over msrp so I could keep shooting.
  10. I'm running 3.1 gr TG with Berry's 90's. It's pretty hot but it runs well in my sig 232 and kahr cw380.
  11. I just started loading .44mag and made a batch of 240LSWC with 7.2 gr titegroup, starline brass, federal LPP. They were very accurate and pleasant out of my 4" 629-1.
  12. I had one and sold it. As noted above, it needed a heavy hammer spring to run reliably. With the heavy spring, the DA and SA pull weights were too high to simulate my shadow triggers. I prefer to shoot my rugers and buckmark when I shoot .22 as they have nice 3 lb triggers.
  13. Remington made some left hand 1100s. The last one I saw for sale went for $1200! I'm a lefty and once had a left hand 870. I hunt with O/U but use an slp for 3 gun with a reversed safety. Is it an advantage? I really couldn't say as the only autoloaders I've ever shot were r side ejection.
  14. I've got two of them, an 18" mid length select and a 16" mid length match. They both are excellent barrels. We had the 18 on my son's AR for a while but later put the 16 on because he wanted to shorten the rifle up. Both shoot moa. I can't tell any difference in accuracy. Both handle well. Our jp shoots a little better but the jp is insanely accurate. I'm going to put the 18 on my next project.
  15. Nice! I got one the last time they were available and started shooting my shadow T with fixed sights.
  16. The last pair of thin aluminum grips I received came with the torx screws. They went on my 97 and the threads were perfect. I'd bet my house they would work perfectly on your shadow. Sorry, I don't know if you can get the screws separately.
  17. Hang in there you will get it worked out. I just loaded 250 rounds of 9mm and it sure goes smoother with a nicely aligned primer system.
  18. Your alignment issue is probably going to be fixed by adjusting the indexer block #16776 (p 48 in manual). The two bolt holes are slotted. Pushing this block towards the rear of the bench advances the shellplate further clockwise, pull it towards the edge of your bench to retard advancement. This is how I fixed mine. It was pretty easy to do and I didn't need the alignment tool.
  19. colt 6951 with colt and metalform mags, free float tube, geissele SSA-E trigger, sights removed and an old eotech I stuck on it. Very nice!
  20. Love to hear your list of refinements.
  21. Mine came with 2 pistons and it has been 100% with everything I've shot through it using the light piston. It also is very accurate with slugs and hits poa. So far, I'm very happy with it.
  22. Next time I shoot a BUG stage, I'm going to use my CZC tuned compact.
  23. why don't you slap on a 5.5 and see how you like it? It's an easy install. you might find you need to file a bit off the front to get it right where you want it. We all see our sights a little differently. There is nothing like actual testing to determine if you like a sight setup. BTW, CZC recommends a different sight set for the compact vs the full size pieces.
  24. I installed a comp hammer, an aluminum trigger and did some polishing. The trigger became much crisper, removing the slight amount of pre-travel present with the stock setup, and dropped the pull a couple ounces. Also, buy using the pre- and over-travel, trigger screws, I was able to tune a very crisp trigger with very little pre- and over-travel. It was a worthy endeavor, and I got to tinker with my TS.
