  1. For what it's worth I use the same seating die and I use .401 diameter hitek coated bullets from bayou, black bullets and acme with no issues. I don't use a U die and I do not wet tumble. My guess is that it's one or both of those things. edit: the black bullets I have are .400, not .401. But the other 2 brands are .401.
  2. I can deal with that. Its just steel challenge. Not too serious about it.
  3. That's what I have. Bayou 180gr TCG. Was hoping someone had some chrono data before I start loading them up and taking them to the range to chrono myself. Edit sorry you said 140. Can't read.
  4. Currently shooting major with 4.2gr of WST and a 200gr acme bullet. Looking for a lighter steel challenge load without messing with my powder measure. Anyone have chrono data for a 180gr bayou or similar over 4.2gr of WST?
  5. Also my grip safety is pinned down so that's the way it was measured.
  6. Phoenix trinity grip. The old one not the evo. And a sv short curves trigger.
  7. Your slide stop is probably trimmed back so it won't catch the follower. Did you buy the gun used?
  8. I can measure a PT with short curved trigger for you. Won't be until tomorrow night.
  9. Do they make the barrel or do they buy the barrel and machine their name in the side?
  10. I did DLC and would do it again in a heartbeat. Sent it through a place in Carolina who sent it to Ionbond. I think it was about $350.
  11. So the chances of anyone who isn't part of a reserved full squad shooting on the weekend is pretty much nill before signups even open? edit: or do you only allow a certain number of slots/squads to be taken during this process?
  12. I have a G35 with a lightened slide. Less mass sounds like a good idea but don't forget when you reduce the mass it will also be traveling faster with all other things being equal. At first I like it because it cycled fast and came back on target faster. It didn't take long to get sick of the violent feeling recoil. At the end of the day I have an expensive glock that I never shoot because I switched to an STI Edge. Turns out the investment I made in it was a waste of money. IMO just shoot your glock the way it is until you switch to a different gun.
  13. When you pick up range scavenged brass you're picking up brass that I shot that is nearing the end of its useful life with primer pockets that are starting to loosen up and stuff. Have fun loading it. Just buy once fired brass from somewhere that is likely to actually be fired only one time like an indoor range. Then you aren't reloading garbage.
  14. No issue with different metals. Galvanic corrosion isn't a concern unless you have water to transfer ions like in a piping system. Different material for pistol sights isn't an issue.
  15. EGW? I use that on my SS gun. I use the PT shielded on my Edge. I'm a lefty and both are fine.
  16. I have zero issues indoors. I don't have any guns with comps though.
  17. That's where I bought mine too.
  18. So, even as a limited 10 shooter from NY State, I would be a felon if I showed up. Nice. This all sounds worse than the NY laws I have to deal with.
  19. Don't know what 2011 you have but an SV trigger bow won't fit in an STI plastic grip.
  20. Just got a 43. Carries well and shoots pretty good for a small gun.
  21. I carry one in the truck that would treat anything from a bug bite to gunshot wound. I had help putting the inventory list together from a former ranger medic at a first aid class I took from him.
  22. Appendix D4 21.4 For semi-automatic Production guns, grip tape, grip sleeves, checkering, stippling or other texture may only be applied in the areas shown in appendix E4. Glue and grit is considered the same as stippling And 22.2 prohibited modifications Grips – any addition or removal of material which changes the factory profile or adds function such as beavertail or thumb rest.
